Lootere’ director Jai Mehta has shed light on shooting on a ship for the series, revealing that the actor Vivek Gomber shot an intense firing scene with a pulled muscle and a cut on his leg.

Shooting on a ship presented a lot of challenges for the cast and crew, and reflecting on the same, Jai said: “Shooting is very demanding and difficult on a ship. The ships look nice and big but they’re at times claustrophobic and slippery because they’re made of metal and the surface is dewy most of the time.”

The makers of Rajat Kapoor, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Aamir Ali-starrer ‘Lootere’, on Friday unveiled the captivating teaser of the upcoming show, which revolves around a game of life and death. Set in the treacherous seas of Somalia, the teaser gives a sneak peek into the tragic world of ‘Lootere’.

The 24 seconds teaser begins with some heavily armed men sailing in the ocean, and shouting ‘we are close’.

Rajat enters the scene wearing a Navy uniform. He is on a faraway ship and sees the men through binoculars.

The video ends with the men firing at the ship.

Sharing the teaser, the makers wrote: “Mayday!Mayday!Mayday!”

Directed by Jai Mehta, the series also stars Vivek Gomber. It is created and produced by Shaailesh R Singh with showrunner Hansal Mehta.

Soon after the release of R.Madhavan- Kangna Ranaut starrer Tanu Weds Manu, the makers of the film had got embroiled in a legal tussle amongst themselves with regards to the rights of ownership to the film. Co-producers Vinod Bachchan and Shailesh R. Singh had jointly produced the film but Bachchan had filed a case against Singh and distributor Sunil Bohra for selling the music, worldwide, satellite, home-video and direct to home rights of the film without his knowledge and permission. Now fed up with the court proceedings, Vinod Bachchan has entered into an out-of-court settlement with both Singh and Bohra following which he has got an amount of Rs. 80 lakhs in settlement. Besides, Bachchan has also managed to retain the rights to make the film's sequel.
