A divisive action thriller from the director behind aged action hero magnum opus Taken and led by an MCU star is all set to hit free streaming from next month. Released back in 2018, the revenge outing Peppermint saw a huge divide between critics and audiences in their response to this tale, which finds Daredevil and Deadpool & Wolverine’sJennifer Garner as a woman embarking on a violent vendetta of vengeance after her family is killed by a drug cartel.

Directed by Pierre Morel, who oh so successfully helped launch Liam Neeson as Hollywood’s go-to aged action hero in Taken, and written by Chad St. John of London Has Fallen fame, Peppermint stars John Ortiz, John Gallagher Jr., Juan Pablo Raba, and Tyson Ritter alongside Jennifer Garner. Peppermint is due to land on the free streaming platform Tubi on March 1, 2025, and you can check out the official synopsis below.

When the TV series based on the popular video game franchise Twisted Metal made its premiere on the Peacock streaming service back in July of 2023, it quickly became one of Peacock’s top five original series, racking up 400 million viewing minutes in its first weekend and earning the honor of being the streamer’s “most-binged” premiere. Now, season 2 is speeding toward a summer 2025 premiere, and showrunner has promised that Twisted Metal season 2 is “even bigger than the first one.” You can get a preview of the new batch of episodes by checking out the newly unveiled teaser trailer, embedded above!

Based on an original take by Deadpool and Zombieland screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, this adaptation of the Twisted Metal franchise centers on a motor-mouthed outsider who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

An exciting update has been revealed for the second season of Twisted Metal. Along with an updated release window being announced, a new teaser trailer for Season 2 has also been released.

On YouTube, Peacock dropped the new trailer for Twisted Metal Season 2, teasing the continued chaos put on display by Sweet Tooth and other post-apocalyptic drivers. It reveals that Season 2 is set to debut on Peacock in "Summer 2025" with a specific date yet to be announced. It's clear from the new trailer that Season 2 will be no less violent, and even perhaps much more so, than Season 1. Fans can check out the trailer below.

Season 2 of Twisted Metal has recently completed filming, and star Anthony Mackie has been teasing that the action-packed return of the Peacock series is going to see "a lot of sh-t” get blown up in the name of entertainment. For fans of the video game adaptation, this is exactly the kind of thing they have been waiting to hear.

Twisted Metal debuted on Peacock in 2023 with an incredibly impressive viewership, quickly becoming the most binged original series in the streamer’s history at the time. This was not the only success the series had, as alongside a so-so 67% Tomatometer score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, the show landed a huge 93% from audiences, putting it among some of the best video game adaptations ever.

Chicago Fire has a lot of story to play with. The show has been on NBC for 13 seasons, and cycled through so many subplots and characters that it's anybody's guess where the writers will take things next. Case in point: the fall finale's decision to bring back a storyline from season one as a means of testing poor Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso).

The winter premiere, "A Favor," was destined to be a Cruz affair from the moment the midseason finale wrapped up. The character was confronted by Junior Polanco (Richard Cabral), the cousin of the late Insane Kings gang leader Flaco (Jose Antonio Garcia). Flaco tried to force Cruz's brother to remain a member of the gang, and Cruz responded by letting Flaco die in a building fire.

Peacock’s action comedy Twisted Metal has been renewed for season two, with series star and executive producer Anthony Mackie announcing the pickup during The Games Awards on December 7, 2023. Season one of the video game-inspired series debuted on July 27th and is one of the streaming service’s top three original shows in viewership.

Hulu is in the early stages of development on a new chapter of “Prison Break” with “Mayans M.C.” cocreator Elgin James attached to write, from 20th Television, the network announced on Thursday.

The original series, which starred Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell as incarcerated brothers, ran on Fox from 2005 to 2008, with a one-season revival in 2017. The new series is expected to feature a fresh cast of characters attempting a daring jailbreak.

The original, which was created by Paul Scheuring, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Ramin Djawadi’s main title music. It also had a video game “Prison Break: The Conspiracy” released in 2010.

For actress Stephanie Beatriz, originating a new character for Peacock’s live-action adaptation of the PlayStation video game “Twisted Metal” — one who doesn’t utter a word in the series premiere — presented a unique and irresistible challenge.

“I love original storytelling,” she told TheWrap. “I think that’s what drew me to these scripts because my character is not even in the games. It’s a fully new character, fully new backstory, fully new world.

“The world opens up more and more every episode,” she added. “It’s in a way limitless.”

Beatriz plays Quiet, a badass axe-wielding car thief that acts purely on instinct. She comes from a community that oppressed her into silence and goes on to form an unlikely, antagonistic bond with John Doe (Anthony Mackie) as she becomes clouded by her need for revenge.

The video game phenomenon Twisted Metal is getting the live-action treatment with Peacock's upcoming series, and Will Arnett brings something different to the table with his performance as the killer clown Sweet Tooth.

In the Twisted Metal series, Will Arnett provides the voice of Sweet Tooth while Aew's Samoa Joe portrays the iconic character. Speaking with /Film about the series before the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Arnett was asked about what's different with his Sweet Tooth compared to other evil clowns in pop culture, such as Pennywise from Stephen King's It. Will Arnett has voiced a number of characters including a German sous chef (in Ratatouille), Batman (in the Lego franchise), and a humanoid horse (in BoJack Horsemen), but the actor says that voicing Sweet Tooth for Peacock's upcoming Twisted Metal presented a "real challenge." In conversation (pre-SAG-AFTRA strike) with Slash Film, Arnett opened up about voicing the killer clown, who is portrayed on screen by wrestler Samoa Joe. Voicing characters, Arnett says, removes the "benefit of expressing yourself in a visual way," which requires "a lot more thought."
