'Wonder Woman 1984' trailer featuring Gal Gadot, has been released by Warner Bros at the DC Fandome event.

The new trailer was unveiled at the ongoing DC Fandome event by director Patty Jenkins alongwith WW84 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal.

Along with the 'Wonder Woman 1984' trailer, the teasers for upcoming Matt Reeves’ Batman film and Zack Snyder’s Justice League were also unveiled at the ongoing virtual DC Fandome convention.

Stephen King’s Carrie is getting its latest treatment for the screen. A limited series adaptation of the iconic horror novel is in development at FX, Deadline has confirmed. The project, first reported by Collider, is in its early stages, and a writer is not yet attached. There are no further details.

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984. Director Patty Jenkins returns for another round of DC action, with Gal Gadot back as Diana Prince. This time, they're bringing the action to the 80s during the height of the Cold War. Plus, we've got Cheetah and Maxwell Lord along for the ride. This is easily poised to be one of the biggest sequels of 2020 and this provides us with our first real look at what's coming our way.

We finally know when the first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 will arrive. Warner Bros. is set to bring the highly-anticipated sequel to Comic Con Experience, aka Ccxp, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which takes place this December. The news was confirmed by both star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins on Twitter. Jenkins, expressing her excitement, had this to say.

A new photo from Wonder Woman 1984 has surfaced online. We're currently in a pretty dry news cycle when it comes to upcoming projects from DC Films. So, any and all information that comes up is certainly worth discussing. In this case, we have an image of actress Rosanna Walls decked out in her Amazon warrior gear, presumably ready to do battle.

The photo surfaced over on Reddit and was screen-grabbed from an Instagram story. We see Rosanna Walls, who is playing an unnamed Amazon warrior in the sequel, standing with her hands on her hips, flashing a little grin. They're shooting in The Canary Islands, per the caption, and we can presume this will be serving as Diana Prince's island home of Themyscira. Other than being a photo with a beautiful background, it unfortunately doesn't tell us all that much.

The first official poster for Wonder Woman 1984 has been revealed. Very recently, a banner for the highly-anticipated sequel made its way online after being spotted at the Licensing Expo. Not long after, director Patty Jenkins decided to share the actual poster for the movie, which gives Gal Gadot's titular hero a seriously colorful 80s makeover. Unfortunately, this might be the only official bit of marketing we get for some time.

It was recently revealed via several reports that Warner Bros. won't be making a presentation in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con next month, which they usually do. That means we won't be getting trailers for upcoming DC movies, such as Wonder Woman 1984, at that time. In response to this, Patty Jenkins took to Twitter to not just confirm that news, but to share the poster to help give fans a little taste of what's to come.

Poldark creator Debbie Horsfield has lifted the lid on the final season of the British period drama, which will air in 2019.

Horsfield has opened up about her approach to the fifth and final season of the Mammoth Screen-produced drama after BBC and PBS confirmed its end. This comes ahead of the launch of the fourth season, which launches on PBS Masterpiece on Sunday September 30 at 9pm.

Poldark is based on twelve novels by Winston Graham; season four is based on the seventh novel, The Angry Tide. However, the author left a gap of ten years before the eighth novel, The Stranger from the Sea.

Social media denizens are guessing that Pascal is portraying Maxwell Lord, who funded and co-founded The Justice League. He eventually degraded from businessman to a guy with mind-controlling powers. Things got so bad that Wonder Woman had to kill Maxwell, so she could free Superman from his mental grip. However, Pascal’s role remains under wraps in the film.

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from Season 3, Episode 3 of “Poldark.”]

After such an eventful premiere — which, to be fair, was actually Episodes 1 and 2 together — Sunday’s latest “Poldark” was an exercise in frustration. The majority of the action was literally about people waiting: Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner) in France waiting on word from an informant about his friend Dwight Enys (Luke Norris), who’s gone missing while out at sea, and their wives waiting to hear back about their respective fates abroad. “How frustrating is a woman’s lot,” Dwight’s wife Caroline (Gabriella Wilde) laments to Ross’ better half Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson). Ah, if only being left i were the worst of it in an episode that highlighted the gender inequities of the time.

The other source of frustration was with how poorly the female characters are being used, with only a few exceptions. As with “Downton Abbey,” one of the worst positions to be in for a woman is servitude,...

For Season 3, “Poldark” had to pull itself out of the mire of bitterness and betrayal that plagued the end of last season, when the series’ hero tarnished his sterling character with infidelity. The central romance suffered as a result, and still stings in the hearts of both his faithful spouse and viewers.

Here's everything you need to know about Wonder Woman 1984.

Believe it or not, it took over a month after the successful release of the first film for Wonder Woman 2 to be confirmed. Before then, it was just assumed that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment would make a sequel to its most popular film yet. In the time since then, we've learned the title is Wonder Woman 1984, which also confirms when the film will be set.

BBC One has ordered a ten-episode, third season of its Aidan Turner-led period drama "Poldark," months before the second season goes to air. Debbie Horsfield will adapt the new episodes from the novels by Winston Graham. Filming is imminent with a 2017 airdate eyed. Set in 1794, the French revolution casts a shadow over life in Cornwall in the new season which also stars Eleanor Tomlinson, John Nettles, Gabriella Wilde and Hugh Skinner. [Source: Deadline]

In the original Independence Day, a young Mae Whitman played the president's adorable (and ridiculously resilient, given what happened to her mom) daughter. Bill Pullman has already agreed to reprise his role as President Whitmore, and given that Whitmore's daughter is reportedly Liam Hemsworth's character's love interest in the film, most fans assumed that meant Whitman would return, too. But as a weary fighter pilot might say after punching out an alien, welcome to Hollywood: Fox has recast the role with It Follows star Maika Monroe for unknown reasons. (According to The Hollywood Reporter, actresses like Gabriella Wilde and Britt Robertson were also considered.) Understandably, Whitman's fans are upset — including her Scott Pilgrim co-star Anna Kendrick:And judging from Mae's response, it would appear the decision to recast her wasn't exactly mutual: She's also retweeted a story critical of the recast. Independence Day 2 now has its female lead.

It Follows actress Maika Monroe has signed up to play the love interest of Liam Hemsworth's character, and also happens to be the daughter of the President of the United States.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Monroe auditioned for the part alongside the likes of Lucy Boynton, Merritt Patterson, Gabriella Wilde and Britt Robertson.

Last week, Joey King informed fans that the sequel would begin shooting very soon, after posting a picture of herself at an airport with Emmerich and two of the film's producers.

Independence Day 2 will be released in 2016 to mark the 20th anniversary of the sci-fi blockbuster, which starred Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum.

Disney is taking its time with the upcoming fifth installment of its massively successful Pirates series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, hopefully because the studio recognized the need to reorient the franchise after 2011’s middling On Stranger Tides. We’ve heard from Orlando Bloom that the fivequel may act as a soft reboot, and that many new actors will board the franchise in major parts. The news comes just one month after she was named as one of five finalists for the role, alongside Gabriella Wilde (Endless Love), Lucy Boynton (Miss Potter), Jenna Thiam (The Returned) and Alexandra Dowling (The Musketeers). The female lead role is said to be the main love interest for Brenton Thwaites' character, a British soldier who teams up with Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).

Javier Bardem is also on board as the villainous Captain Brand, a ghost who seeks revenge against Jack for the death of his brother. Original Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom also hinted last month that he may be back as Will Turner, and that Disney may be eyeing the project as a potential reboot of the entire franchise.

Most Hollywood studios have gotten smart about their film budgets, lowering them quite a bit over the past year. Which means we saw fewer box office bombs in 2014. Almost all of the big releases made at least a little bit of their money back, except maybe Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return. It only earned $18.6 million worldwide against it's $70 million budget. Winter's Tale and Vampire Academy were also big money losers over the past twelve months, but seeming disasters like Transcendence and I, Frankenstein actually managed to recoup their costs overseas. That doesn't mean these were good movies by any means. And some of the biggest blockbusters of the year shouldn't be considered masterpieces of cinema by any stretch of the imagination. In 2014, we couldn't really judge a movie by its earnings. But we could judge them by their critical and fan responses. Which is where Rotten Tomatoes comes in handy.

Orlando Bloom has revealed that he has held talks about returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

The actor starred in the first three instalments of the series, but did not appear in fourth film On Stranger Tides in 2011.

He has previously spoken about being open to reprising the role of Will Turner, but he has now revealed details about how the character could reappear.

Bloom told IGN: "I'm not entirely sure that [I'll be back] just yet but there are talks.

"Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son.

"I'm of course Davey Jones now, so I'm down the bottom of the ocean. It might be kind of fun to do something where I'm rumbling round the bottom of the ocean, because I won't look anything like me. Get all gnarly."
