Mauro Mueller is a Mexican-Swiss narrative filmmaker with an MFA in directing and screenwriting from Columbia University in New York. He's a 2022 Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Diverse Directors Fellow. He has directed three features: El Conserje (2025), a Mexican social drama; A Few Days in the Sun (2025), a US-Mexican-Dominican-German kidnapping thriller; and 111 (2026), about the 1998 Swissair crash. He co-directed the Swiss mystery crime thriller Wilder and showruns the office sitcom Our Little Embassy. Mauro co-directed all six episodes of the Swiss mystery crime thriller 'Wilder' for Swiss television. He was a 2nd Unit Director on "Awake" starring Gina Rodriguez, Shamier Anderson and Jennifer Jason Leigh. His short film 'A World for Raúl' won a Student Academy Award-Oscar® in 2013 and 'Dear Chickens', starring Philip Baker Hall, was Oscar-qualified in 2019. His projects have been supported by Tribeca, Sundance, Rotterdam, Cannes, and the Berlinale.
He produced more than ten features and alongside George R.R. Martin the segment Oscar qualified The Ugly Chickens, winning various international awards. Some of the features include 'Copenhagen' in Denmark (Audience Award winner, Slamdance 2014) and the sci-fi feature 'Cosmic Dawn' in Canada. He was a Rotterdam Producer's Lab as well as Cannes Producer's Network participant. TAP, ICAP, and AMPS member. He is co-owner of Fidelio, with which he co-produced "Candelaria", winning the Giornate degli Autori top prize at Venice FF 2017 the original TV series "Ruido Capital" for Movistar+ and the Western TV Series "The Head of Joaquín Murrieta" for Amazon.
