The closing minutes of the Silo season 2 finale introduces a U.S. congressman (played by Succession's Ashley Zuckerman) on a date with a journalist named Helen (Iron Fist alum Jessica Henwick). Things seem to be going well until the journalist asks the politician whether the U.S. plans to bomb Iran, perhaps pointing to how the silos were created and why. The congressman exits, leaving her with a duck Pez dispenser. It's a reference to the University of Oregon, which Helen attended, and its Duck mascot.

On the day that Apple TV+ drops the season 2 finale of its dystopian drama series, Silo, we’re hearing that Jessica Henwick and Ashley Zuckerman are joining the cast of the show’s third season as series regulars. Jessica Henwick plays Helen, a whip-smart reporter, while Ashley Zuckerman plays Daniel, a young and eager congressman in Silo season 3.

While I understand Zuckerman’s role, I’m curious how Henwick’s Helen influences the show’s events. People in positions of authority don’t last long in Silo, so I get the need to have more players enter that arena. Still, a reporter role is interesting, given that I’m uncertain of how news travels in Silo. Does Helen manage a widely distributed newspaper? Does she give “Runners,” essentially the postmen of the Silo, pamphlets to share with the different levels? We’ll need to wait and see.

Variety has learned that both Jessica Henwick and Ashley Zukerman are set to appear as series regulars in the upcoming third season of the Apple TV+ post-apocalyptic drama based on Hugh Howey’s “Wool” novel trilogy.

Among a top 10 list mostly populated by holiday films, this year's Cuckoo has claimed the fourth position on Hulu's most-viewed feature list. The horror landed on the streamer on December 17. The underrated flick, starring Hunter Schafer (Euphoria) and Dan Stevens (Legion), follows 17-year-old Gretchen (Schafer) who moves to the German Alps to live with her estranged father, Luis (Marton Csokas), and his young wife and their child. Once there, Gretchen realizes nothing is as it appears and soon finds herself ensnared in a dangerous game — one that often seems like a mind-bending nightmare — orchestrated by her father's boss, Mr. König (Stevens).

Cuckoo is a blend of psychological horror, family drama, and body horror, exploring themes of family, identity, and autonomy. Directed by German filmmaker Tilman Singer (Luz), the Neon film failed to impress at the box office, grossing only $6.7 million against a $7 million budget, but fared fairly well with critics.

When Daredevil: Born Again premieres in March 2025, Netflix's Defenders Saga will begin its second act. Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television and Animation, recently teased that there are quite a few surprises in the Daredevil continuation that should please fans of the Netflix/Marvel series.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter about What If...? Season 3, Winderbaum was asked if fans can expect to see other Netflix/Marvel characters, like Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing, reappear in the MCU now that the Defenders Saga is officially part of the sacred timeline. "It’s all one shared universe, so you never know where characters are going to pop up next. It’s a huge opportunity to have officially folded those stories into our canon," shared Winderbaum. "Whether or not they were always part of the canon, it’s now official, and we can play with those toys in our toy box.
