Amir Ohebsion

Amir O. is an LA-based writer, producer, and founder of Soul Mining Productions. His first feature screenplay, The Apology, won the Grand Prize at Slamdance, and several of his scripts have placed in the Nicholl Fellowships. His debut feature, Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero, won both the Comedy Vanguard Jury Award and Audience Award at the Austin Film Festival before airing on Showtime. His latest film, the indie drama All There Is, starring Laurel Marsden, Mena Suvari, and Jason Priestley, will premiere at the Beverly Hills Film Festival on April 1, 2025. Beyond screenwriting, Amir has produced several theatrical plays, all of which premiered at the prestigious Wilshire Ebell Theatre. As of March '25, he is developing two new screenplays: Freak, a twisty sci-fi thriller (The Unabomber meets Ex Machina), and Deathday, a supernatural thriller that won the Grand Prize at the Emerging Screenwriters Suspense Competition.
