Adam Driver is well known for playing Adam Sackler on "Girls," but since the series wrapped in 2017, he's been making a new name for himself in movies like the Star Wars franchise, "Marriage Story," "House of Gucci," and most recently, "White Noise." Naturally, fans have gained even more interest in Driver's life off screen. While the 39-year-old actor is notoriously private about his personal life, we do have a few details about his love life.
In June 2013, Driver tied the knot with fellow actor Joanne Tucker during a destination wedding with guests from his hit HBO series in attendance. However, the couple's romance started long before his acting career took off. After getting discharged from the Marine Corps, Driver auditioned and was accepted into Juilliard. Shortly after, he met the love of his life, and they have been inseparable ever since. In 2018, Driver confirmed to The New Yorker he...

Adam Driver’s place in the 2021 pop culture firmament is assured because of his role in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy, his four Primetime Emmy nominations and his two Academy Award noms — and being the actor everyone in Hollywood wants to star in their projects.
Twenty years earlier, he was a fresh-faced 18-year-old who joined the U.S. Marine Corps, motivated by political and personal bravado after the events of 9/11. Somewhere in between, Driver and his future wife Joanne Tucker co-created Arts in the Armed Forces (Aitaf), a nonprofit organization that presents theater and film to active-duty service members.
Effectively merging the disciplined world that trained Driver with the artistic calling that lay in front of him, Aitaf has since become a program not just to entertain military personnel but also offer a conduit for some of the emotions they may otherwise not be encouraged to express while reckoning with the...

When posters for Broadway’s revival of Burn This started heating up New York’s chilly subway stations earlier this winter, stars Adam Driver and Keri Russell, snuggling, entangled, staring holes, seemed a sort of inevitable pairing. Both looked incredible, and he was arriving in step with his Oscar nomination for Spike Lee’s BlacKKKlansman, she a Golden Globe nominee for her still-fresh-in-the-mind final season of The Americans. And both would be appearing in the next installment of Star Wars, no less. If theater marketing had gods, somewhere they were smiling.
The buzzy ad campaign proved both effective and prophetic: The revival of Lanford Wilson’s 1987 drama, directed by Michael Mayer and co-starring David Furr and Brandon Uranowitz, is easily one of the hottest newcomers this Broadway season, pulling in the type of weekly box office – $768,766 for the week ending April 21, the most recent numbers available – that are more typically...

Gibney now has two films that explore the myriad ways that the internet can wreak havoc, with 2013’s “We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks” and the Oscar-shortlisted “Zero Days,” which stemmed from the U.S. and Israeli Stuxnet operation that destroyed 1000 nuclear centrifuges. Initially, producer Marc Shmuger, who brought him both projects, “knew more about it than I did,” said Gibney. “He had access to people telling him interesting things about the Stuxnet operation. It seemed like an event that deserved a deeper dive.”
Gibney dug deeper and found out how scary the world of cyberwarfare could be. And as the election took its twisty turns, revealing the Russia hacks, more of us caught up with a new reality that had only been imagined in science-fiction. The Matrix is here.

We’ve all been there. Stuck listening to some self-absorbed acquaintance babble on about his own personal obsessions while our heart aches after having it stomped on, squished, mangled, and manipulated after a sorrowful loss. All we want is someone to help lift us out of our misery. All they want is to download their nonsense.
That’s exactly how Jef Taylor‘s melancholy short film After You Left opens. Mat (Michael Tisdale) has just been dumped by Sara (Joanne Tucker). Hoping to get his mind off of his broken heart, Mat is stuck listening to the boring ramblings of his friend Dylan (Dylan McCullough).
To us, the audience, Dylan’s whiny ramblings over whether or not he should go see the new Twilight movie just because Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has a song on the soundtrack is a riot, especially because he’s so sincere about his dilemma. But,...
