Also starring James Badge Dale (“The Departed”), Michael Mando (“Better Call Saul”), Rory Cochrane (“Black Mass”), Ritchie Coster (“The Dark Knight”), George Carroll (“The Town”), Sam Quartin “(Candy Land”), newcomer Jasper Jones and Oscar nominee Graham Greene (“Dances with Wolves”), “King Ivory” is described as a “fentanyl expose” based on extensive research with law enforcement, gangs, inmates, migrants and addicts.

After the billion-dollar hit of "Spider-Man: No Way Home," the fourth Tom Holland-led Spidey movie has been surprisingly slow-moving. But it is in the works, and targeting a July 2026 release date. "Spider-Man 4" recently scored a new female lead in actress Sadie Sink, but what about the movie's big bad?
There's been no confirmed villain and, truthfully, the Spider-Man films have already gone through his major adversaries. "No Way Home" even brought back past villains for a multiversal Sinister Six. That probably cools the chances of us getting a Marvel Cinematic Universe-original Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, etc. for now.
Kraven the Hunter has been the perennial "they'll definitely do him in the next movie" pick since back when Andrew Garfield was still going to get his "Amazing Spider-Man 3." But Sony instead chose to make a (terrible) "Kraven the Hunter" solo movie, so I doubt they'll want to drag him out again so soon.

After watching Wagner Moura play the legendary Pablo Escobar in Netflix’s hit show Narcos, we all thought his career had peaked. But it seems the man, who once ruled the cocaine empire on-screen is back in the drug trade—but this time, he’s barely hanging on. In Apple TV+’s Dope Thief, Moura claimed to have ditched the kingpin persona for something far more raw.

Bokween Woodbine played a supporting role in Spider-Man: Homecoming as secondary villain, Herman Schultz, but we haven't seen the character since he was defeated by Tom Holland's wall-crawler (with a little help from Ned Leeds).
We didn't really expect Shocker to show up in the MCU again, but Woodbine has now hinted at his return in a future project.
While speaking to The Direct at the SXSW premiere of Government Cheese, the actor was asked what became of Schultz after the events of Homecoming.
"That's a very good question. I'm wondering the same. But I get a feeling it might not be the last time you see the Shocker."
Woodbine was also asked if there was ever any talk of him donning a more comic-accurate costume.
"We discussed it," he reveals. "It wasn't right or appropriate for that first one. But who knows, down the line, [we can get] a little bit closer to the original suit.

Plot: Based on Dennis Tafoya’s book of the same name, “Dope Thief” follows long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern seaboard.
Review: The definition of what constitutes a “crime drama” has evolved over the years as more nuanced takes on the subject matter have given us fantastic projects ranging from The Wire on the small screen to The Town on the big screen. Peter Craig, the co-writer of Ben Affleck’s The Town and The Batman, Gladiator II, Bad Boys For Life, and Top Gun: Maverick, knows a little about delivering portraits of criminals who are more than the crimes they perpetrate. One Better Call Saul actor knows this struggle all too well, having spent endless hours on the road chasing roles before finally landing a spot in Bob Odenkirk’s hit series. Brian Tyree Henry and Narcos alum Wagner Moura are forced to run for their lives after robbing the wrong country house in the latest trailer for Apple’s drug ring drama Dope Thief, which dropped on Tuesday.
Their petty thief characters in Philadelphia posed as DEA agents to rob smalltime drug dealers, only to become targets of a massive and deadly narcotics enterprise. Having knocked on the wrong door, the duo unwittingly reveal and unravel one of the biggest hidden narcotics corridors on the Eastern seaboard.
“These guys are going to come after us, man,” Manny Cespedes (Moura) tells Henry’s character, Ray Driscoll, at one point in the high octane trailer for the eight-part drama. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has gone from strength to strength in its fresh take on Spider-Man's story. The animated Disney+ series follows a young Peter Parker (Hudson Thames) in his early months as Spider-Man, as he teams up with Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo) to grow as a superhero. The series takes place in its own universe, freeing it from the need to fit in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's established continuity, although it still features several Marvel characters who closely resemble their MCU Earth-616 counterparts. Spoilers for "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" follow.
"Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" episode 7, "Scorpion Rising," sees Peter Parker (Hudson Thames) facing his greatest challenge yet -- and nearly losing his life to it. That challenge's name is Mac Gargan (Jonathan Medina), leader of a criminal gang called the Scorpions. The season had been building up a gang war between the Scorpions and their rivals, the 1 & 10th Street gang, represented by Peter's friend (and future enemy) Lonnie Lincoln (Eugene Byrd).
Episode 6, "Duel with the Devil," ended with the Scorpions discovering their rivals' hideout, and Mac getting fitted with green scorpion themed armor, complete with a stinger tail, by Otto Octavius (Hugh Dancy). The Scorpion springs his trap in the following episode. Spider-Man intervenes, but nothing he throws at Gargan keeps him down. Proving the tail isn't just for show, Scorpion stabs Spider-Man through his shoulder. Spider-Man is left bleeding out as the Scorpion approaches,...

As a Shakespearean actor born and bred on theater stages, Michael Mando had an immense well of resources to draw from while playing Nacho in Better Call Saul. It was one of those iconic and perpetually unforgettable roles that are forever etched in pop culture history. Even as the villain, Mando turned his character into such a work of art that it would be remiss of us not to deify him.

However, beyond the Machiavellian villainy and the Senecan tragedy that underlined his narrative, Michael Mando’s Nacho was a character who could be studied inside and out, simply because of his brilliant backstory that was largely left unsaid.
In his death, Mando puts Nacho on the pedestal he belongs to as he reveals some of the symbolism that went into the creation of the iconic character.

With so many conflicting reports and rumors relating to Spider-Man 4 doing the rounds over the past few weeks, it's difficult to get a read on exactly what's going on with the project, but several different sources have claimed that - for whatever reason - the story still hasn't come together.
The script is believed to be undergoing a major overhaul, possibly due to differences of opinion between star Tom Holland and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, and last we heard, the movie was still a long way from starting production because there isn’t a finalized shooting draft yet.

The McU's Spider-Man 4 is currently undergoing a complete overhaul, as fans are left waiting for Tom Holland to return to the big screen as Peter Parker. One of the big questions on the minds of fans is: who will be the film's villain(s)?
Spider-Man: Homecoming introduced Michael Keaton as The Vulture — arguably one of the best MCU villains to date. Far From Home then upped the ante with Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio. No Way Home rounded out the trilogy by jumping the shark and sticking the landing, as Holland's Spider-Man was joined by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's versions of the character, along with their respective villains. Spider-Man 4 has the tall task of beating that, and rumors about the scrapped script suggest it struggled to do so the first time round.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with teases, cliffhangers, and post-credits scenes — some good, some bad. However, by this point there've been too many teases that remain unfulfilled, including cameos that have yet to be paid off and credits stingers that promised bigs things yet have so far amounted to nothing. Think of Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) declaring his intention to hunt down sorcerers in "Doctor Strange," Adrian Toomes aka Vulture (Michael Keaton) and Mac Gargan aka Scorpion (Michael Mando) meeting in prison in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," or basically the entire ending of "Eternals" (everything from the giant celestial sticking out of the ocean to Arishem promising to judge Earth and the hint at Kit Harington's Dane Whitman becoming the Black Knight).

Nowadays, it is not too uncommon for popular TV programs to inspire spinoff shows. These new series, though they do have self-contained stories of their own, typically feature characters or settings that appeared in the previous shows that inspired them. What is rarer, however, is when the spinoff manages to maintain the same level of quality as the original. Far too often, TV networks merely try to capitalize on the preexisting popularity of a character or setting, and fail to deliver entertaining stories of their own.
Fortunately, some of the best spinoffs do manage to knock it out of the park, using preexisting characters but still managing to create inventive new storylines that captivate their viewers in new, exciting ways. These shows not only stand out as excellent programs on their own, but even manage to attract new viewers to the original series as well. While there will always be...

Breaking Bad is considered one of the greatest television series of all time, and miraculously, creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould were able to have lightning strike twice with their spinoff hit show, Better Call Saul. Following the life of criminal lawyer Jimmy McGill before he donned the flashy suits and questionable legal choices, Bob Odenkirk stars alongside several other returning cast members in a show that made the wider Breaking Bad story even more incredible. Some fans argue that Better Call Saul is even better than the original show. But some viewers new to the Breaking Bad universe aren't sure whether they should start with the prequel, which is chronologically first, or the original series, which came out first.
Even though Better Call Saul is a follow-up to the original masterpiece, its not hard for new fans to enjoy the show. Its brilliant storytelling, realistically layered characters, and gray...

Marvel Studios has gone through a lot of Spider-Man's villains very quickly. Homecoming used The Vulture and Shocker, while Far From Home put Mysterio front and centre alongside "Elementals" clearly based on the likes of Hydro-Man and Molten Man.
Then, in No Way Home, Tom Holland's web-slinger battled Variants of the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Lizard, and Sandman. Where does this leave Spider-Man 4? Well, if recent rumours are to be believed, Peter Parker will team up with Venom to battle Knull, God of the Symbiotes.
However, Spidey still has plenty of bad guys we'd like to see on screen and this feature singles out six villains we'd rather have showcased in filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton's addition to the popular MCU franchise. We also explore the types of stories which can be told with the characters.

In October 2024, Spider-Man was on everyone's mind. Not only did Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4 get an official July 24, 2026, release date, but Venom: The Last Dance was also released in theaters. Venom: The Last Dance was marketed as the final film in the Venom trilogy, with Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) saying goodbye to everyone's favorite symbiote. The movie also seemingly retconned the mid-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, revealing the piece of the Venom symbiote left over was not in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's sacred timeline but in the Venom universe. Yet the way The Last Dance frames the scene, there is a chance two different symbiotes were left behind, leaving the door open for the MCU to feature its own Venom.

There are a lot of crime shows which don't have time for relationship drama, but some great shows have been able to balance these two themes. Any genre of TV show can have a dash of romance added to it, since relationships are a near-universal human experience that so often reflects who people are. Crime shows usually have romantic subplots to humanize their characters and to raise the emotional stakes.
The best crime shows can make room for romance without either letting it crowd out the action or making it seem unnecessary. Romance can be used as comic relief in more lighthearted shows like Only Murders in the Building and Castle, but it can also reflect dark truths about the characters, just as it does in Justified and Fargo. For all these reasons and more, there's no shortage of crime shows with romance running through them.

Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3 was a strong entry in the Far Cry franchise. The game was an overall success but the game’s story has been widely criticized for racism and colonialism. The writer, Jeffrey Yohalem, has always opposed the criticism, stating that players are missing some key points.
Far Cry 3 was released in 2012 (Image via Ubisoft)
In a past interview, Yohalem has talked about the game’s ending. At the end of Far Cry 3, players can either save Jason Brody’s friends or join Citra to become the tribe’s leader. The choice to join the tribe as a White man was a controversial topic back in the day, but Yohalem believes that it was “a satire of popularity” as players realize at the end of the game that the tribe was actually manipulating them all this time.

Marvel fans are still in the dark over who will be the main villain of the forthcoming Spider-Man 4, but it is unlikely to be Michael Keaton's Vulture. The Spider-Man: Homecoming actor recently revealed that he has not yet been asked to return as the Spidey villain for the fourth Tom Holland-led Spider-Man movie.
During an interview with Screen Rant to promote his upcoming comedy movie Goodrich, Keaton was asked if Amy Pascal who produced both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Goodrich had been in touch about returning for Spider-Man 4 as Adrian Toomes/The Vulture. "Oh, wow. That's an interesting character, that guy. Actually, I was there for a minute in the second one... That really was fun experience, but I haven't talked to anybody about anything," Keaton shared, before jokingly adding, "I try not to talk to anybody. I really don't like people."

After a life of crime that resulted in Breaking Bad's Jimmy McGill (aka Saul Goodman) going on the run, the former attorney wound up managing a Cinnabon in Omaha using the alias "Gene." However, the tasty pastry retailer was not the original choice for where Saul would end up with his new identity.
On social media, Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould shared an image from an early draft of the script for the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad. This was the episode that established that Saul (Bob Odenkirk) would be managing a Cinnabon after getting a new identity from the "Disappearer" (Robert Forster). The early draft of the script reveals that Saul's dialogue was altered slightly, as he was originally written to tell Walter White (Bryan Cranston) that he would be "managing a Hot Topic in Omaha."

The team behind opioid crime thriller “King Ivory” had a somewhat unorthodox journey to the Venice Film Festival this year.
When a delayed flight from New York meant they missed their connection by a matter of minutes, the group of six — including stars Ben Foster and Melissa Leo, plus producer Jeremy Rosen and writer/director John Swab — found themselves in Munich on a long waitlist for the only other plane going to Venice that day.
Thinking that the chances of them all getting seats were fairly slim, Rosen made what he describes as an “executive decision,” hiring a Mercedes Sprinter van for a seven-hour drive that took them from Germany into Italy through the Austrian Alps.
“It was truly like a camp trip… a camp trip for privileged children,” he notes. There was also a hint of danger — Swab claims that about halfway into the ride, he spotted Rosen “falling asleep at the wheel.

Recent Spider-Man 4 news presents the perfect candidate for Spidey's next MCU antagonist. Spider-Man 4 has apparently been fast-tracked in the McU's Multiverse Saga slate, starting development in 2024 and gearing up for a potential 2026 or 2027 release date. Little is still known about Spider-Man 4, but fan theories already abound. Given that Peter Parker's next MCU adventure will probably release soon before or soon after Avengers: Doomsday, there's a high chance that the multiverse will play a big role in its story, despite what Spider-Man: No Way Home's ending suggested.

It was Adolf Hitler’s name that became synonymous with evil, but his Italian counterpart — Benito Mussolini, named for a Mexican revolutionary leader by his staunchly Socialist father — was arguably the more enduring brand. Any populist politician today owes a good deal to the Mussolini playbook, brought to explosive life in an extraordinary Italian-language series by British director Joe Wright.
M. Son of the Century sticks to the facts of the great dictator’s life, which are extraordinary enough, but stretches those facts into surreal shapes until we feel we’re in some parallel historical universe. Wright’s brassy style — unlike anything he has done before — owes something to Fellini, but a whole lot more to its subject. Because Benito Mussolini, apart from anything else, definitely knew how to put on a show.

Taking cues from a modern classic that depicted the battle to stop crack-cocaine from destroying America, Swab repeats the same structure over two decades later to tackle the opioid epidemic, and generally achieves strong results. Swab cut his chops directing genre flicks like Ida Red and Candy Land, putting out a whopping seven features since 2019. (He’s already releasing another movie,...

Troy Baker is one of the most renowned voice actors in the industry. Starting with BloodRayne 2, the man has given voice to some of the most iconic characters in gaming. Among his massive portfolio, though, his more antagonistic roles are a real standout.
Very few characters in gaming can compete with Troy Baker’s depiction of Min’s charisma and narcissism – Image Credit: Ubisoft.
For instance, his work on Pagan Min in Far Cry 4 is up there as one of the best in that series, especially considering how the character feels tailor-made for Baker to voice. Surprisingly enough, the circumstances surrounding him getting the role are about as insane as one might expect from anything Far Cry-related.
