Lauren Landa joined him for the reading — the actress known for her vocal roles in anime and video games. The duo read the scene in which Princess Leia is led down a hallway after being captured by Vader’s men. As soon as the crowd hears Cummings’ solemn voice utter, “Don't play the innocent your Highness. You weren't on any mercy mission this time,” they burst out in laughter. During ConnectiCon, Jim Cummings (the voice of Winnie the Pooh) recreated some of the opening sequences of Star Wars by replacing the dark and menacing voice of Darth Vader with the gentle and befuddled voice of Winnie the Pooh. The crowd gets so into it that it's hard to hear at the start of the video, but stick with it because some of the funniest stuff is at the end. Cummings gets an assist from Lauren Landa, another voice actor doing her own odd twist on Princess Leia. Thanks to Boing Boing for pointing out this older but still fun video.
