- Visual Effects
Chris Clough is a British VFX Artist, whose notable works include Gravity (2013), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald (2018), and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023).
After graduating from the National Center for Computer Animation (NCCA) at Bournemouth University, Chris began his career in Visual Effects in London, working at acclaimed VFX houses such as Cinesite and Framestore; at the latter, he was part of the Oscar- and BAFTA-winning VFX team on Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity (2013).
After completing many projects in the UK, Chris moved to Montreal, Canada in 2017 to work on Paddington 2 (2017), where he remained until 2019, when he took a career break to travel around South America for 6 months. He returned to the UK in 2020, just as the global film industry was shutting down due to COVID-19. A year later, Chris was offered a position at Rising Sun Pictures in Adelaide, Australia, where he worked on projects such as The Lord of the Rings TV show, Star Wars: Andor, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, among others. He returned to the UK in 2023.
Outside of the film industry, Chris is a passionate photographer, and for many years worked as a music photographer, taking pictures and directing music videos for bands, alongside his work in film. Since 2011, he has also been photographing weddings, and he said in 2024 that he would like to shift his career towards focusing on this full-time. His photography work can easily be found on Google.
