Scruffles the Cat, a recurring character on Disenchantment, is voiced by legendary voice actor Billy West, known for his roles in Futurama, Space Jam, and The Ren & Stimpy Show. Billy West also voices other characters on Disenchantment, including Sorcerio, the Jester, Mertz, Pops the Elf, and King Rulo the Elf. West's extensive resume on Matt Groening's TV shows, including Futurama, showcases his talent in voicing multiple characters across different series within the same universe.

The characters in “Disenchantment” are well within reason to not want to spend their time in the world of the living in the kingdom of Dreamland.
When last we saw the team of princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson) and her pair of non-human companions — Luci (Eric Andre) and Elfo (Nat Faxon) — things did not look promising. Amidst a wave of family betrayals and unexpected deaths, there wasn’t exactly a clear way forward for this unlikely trio. But as the first full look from Netflix at the show’s Season 2 hints strongly at, in order to reunite, a few of them must travel to another plane of existence.
On top of their usual litany of magical creatures to contend with, Luci and Bean in particular will have to face the forces of the underworld in their pursuit of the departed Elfo. In the process, they’ll also have to find out...

Netflix has released two new amusing promo spots for Matt Groening's adult-themed fantasy animated series Disenchantment. We already shared and great trailer from Comic-Con, but these new spots bring a little bit more information to the table. I've enjoyed everything that I've seen from this series so far and it looks like it's going to be another fantastic series from Groening.

This is not your typical Disney princess tale.
Broad City‘s Abbi Jacobson found herself attracted to Bean, the less-than-perfect princess at the center of Matt Groening’s animated comedy-fantasy series, Disenchantment.
“I would have auditioned for anything with Matt’s name on it. I didn’t know how great this would be,” said Jacobson in comments today during the Television Critics Association press tour. “Bean is a different princess. She’s flawed and gets fucked up. I find it so relatable.”
The 10-episode series, which debuts Aug. 17, follows the misadventures of Bean and the gang which are voiced by a notable cast of comedic actors. Jacobson is joined by Nat Faxon and Eric Andre voice Elfo and Luci respectively.
“It’s the role I was born to play,” said Andre, “He’s an instigator. He’s the literal and figurative devil on her shoulder, and I am a demon from hell in real life.

Forget Meghan Markle and Prince Whatshisname: The more important royal wedding was that of Princess Bean and the Prince of Bentwood. Except that she jilted him and he became head-impaled on an iron throne. Pity.

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Matt Groening's new animated project Disenchantment, which is a fantastic sounding adult-themed fantasy series. The promo doesn't give us much, but it's enough to get fans excited.
In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.
The trailer shows the main character princess Bean being brought back home to her father. The creator previously had this to say about the show:
“Ultimately, disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.

As the narrator for Netflix’s Disenchantment teaser explains, we’ve seen Matt Groening’s take on the future in Futurama, the present in The Simpsons, so all that’s left is…Disenchantment. In a past, Middle Ages-type kingdom, a monk-robed prisoner is brought before a King for judgement, and the “pile of scum” certainly receives it: “Weak chin, buck teeth,” etc.
The poor soul’s response? “Hi, Dad,” spoken in a voice that had me thinking a medieval Lisa Simpson.

After gestating for almost two years, Matt Groening’s upcoming Netflix animated series Disenchantment is set to premiere this year but we have yet to catch a glimpse of the characters. Well, the wait is over because the show’s official Twitter account launched today with the first look at the characters…kind of.
The tweet (see below) included portions of full-sized images of the character, teasing us with the caption, “A princess, an elf, and a demon walk into a bar…The new series from The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, coming soon.” It doesn’t really give us much, but it is certainly a fun start.
Disenchantment comes from Groening and will include 20 episodes airing over two seasons of 10 episodes each. The animated comedy will flow in the same vein of other series with adult-oriented humor — much like Netflix’s Big Mouth, BoJack Horseman, and F Is For Family.

The internet is abuzz now that Matt Groening has confirmed he’s in production on “Disenchantment,” his third animated television series after such legendary shows as “The Simpsons” and “Futurama.” The former will be heading into its 29th season this fall, while the latter wrapped up its beloved seven-season run in 2013. Netflix nabs The Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening to develop the fantasy animated series Disenchantment...
Netflix will soon be able to tout an animated comedy series developed by The Simpsons and Futurama visionary Matt Groening as part of its ever-growing list of original content accolades. The streaming giant has tapped Groening to develop Disenchantment, an adult-aimed, fantasy-themed animated comedy series.
Netflix has given Groening's Disenchantment a 20-episode order, to be released 10 episodes at a time. The series takes place in a medieval kingdom called Dreamland, inhabited by all your favorite Dungeons & Dragons and Warcraft-type concepts such as ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, and even walruses.
Of course, this locale will also have its share of human fools. The main story will center on the young, hard-drinking Princess Bean (Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson), who embarks on a series of (mis)adventures with her personal demon Luci...

Netflix have announced they have ordered twenty episodes of Disenchantment, an adult animated comedy fantasy series from the mind of Matt Groening; which will feature the voice talents of Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon and Eric Andre (pictured above), along with John Dimaggio, Billy West, Maurice Lamarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.
Says Matt Groening:
Ultimately Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.
