"There's not a chance in hell this guy would make it through the night." Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a junk action thriller called Clear Cut, formerly known as Cold Deck. The title is a wildfire term for cutting down trees so they don't burn and spread the fire even further. A team of loggers discover a meth cook site in the middle of the forest and are forced to fight for their lives while hunted by a drug cartel. Set in the woods in the Pacific Northwest, a man crosses paths with a criminal band of madmen from his past intent on killing him before he can fight his way back to civilization. With Clive Standen, Lucy Martin, Jesse Metcalfe, Tom Welling, Lochlyn Munro, Chelsey Reist, Tom Stevens, Mike Dopud, plus Stephen Dorff and Alec Baldwin. "Someone else was here?" "Did she see anything…?" "Yep." Signature Ent. has released their own UK trailer for The Last Victim, described as a "neo-Western thriller" about a small town sheriff chasing outlaws. It already opened in the US a few months ago, but why not another trailer since it looks like a solid film. The Last Victim is a small town crime thriller set in the American southwest, following Sheriff Hickey who is trying to solve the worst case he has seen in his jurisdiction, likely caused by a violent local gang led by a fearsome criminal. When a young professor and her husband cross paths with the gang, they are drawn into a chain of vengeance where morality is ambiguous and survival is the only priority. The thriller stars Ali Larter, Ron Perlman, Ralph Ineson, Kyle Schmid, Tahmoh Penikett, and Tom Stevens. This film doesn't seem too bad...

Love can make us do crazy things…but this? After Toby Young (Good Witch’s Catherine Bell) brings her rescue dog program to a Kansas correctional facility, inmate John Manard unleashes such strong feelings in her, she helps him escape in a pet crate! Yes, this happened in 2006. Young (now Toby Dorr) met John when she brought her Safe Harbor Prison Dogs program to Kansas’ Lansing Correctional Facility. Connecting with Manard awakened Toby from her lackluster 28-year marriage and “milquetoast American life,” as she described in a June 2022 essay for Today. “I jumped at the opportunity when the local prison suggested that I lead a dog rehab program. Little did I know how intoxicating purpose could be,” Toby wrote. But as Jailbreak Lovers, premiering July 2, shows, Toby’s life certainly didn’t stay boring for long. In Lifetime‘s interpretation, Toby is woman who always played by the rules. Losing...

Here are three of the best albums of 2019 so far. Two of them are surprising and heartening resurrections by American bands who deserved better in their first lifetimes but haven’t given up. The third is bold prog-rock violence from Norway by a band with nearly three decades of mayhem in their discography but is still too much of a secret in this country. May the silence end here.

We’ve got a kickass new trailer for you to watch today for Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming Syfy Channel series Deadly Class, which is based on the Image Comics property created by Rick Remender and Wes Craig.
The new trailer offers up a ton of cool, action-packed new footage and also introduces us to the villainous character Chester "Fuckface" Wilson, who is played by Tom Stevens (Wayward Pines ). Wilson likes to torture his roommate Marcus Arguello. In the comics, Wilson ended up being badly burned in an explosion during Marcus's escape from the school.
I also included a behind-the-scenes featurette for the series that includes the cast and crew talking about what we can expect to see from the series. That includes the Russo Brothers. I’m really excited about this show and its future! I already watched the pilot episode and loved it, so I’m sold.

Wayward Pines alum Tom Stevens is set for a recurring role in Syfy’s Deadly Class, based on the critically acclaimed Image Comics graphic novel by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, from The Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Sony Pictures TV and Universal Cable Productions. Adapted for television by Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott, Deadly Class is described as a coming of age journey full of ancient mystery and teen angst. Set in a dark, comic book world against the backdrop of late 80s counter culture, it follows a homeless teen recruited into a storied elite private school where the world’s top crime families send their next generations. Stevens will play Chester “F*ckface” Wilson, a resident of the same boys’ home Marcus lived in before taking to the streets of San Francisco. An incident at the boys’ home leaves Chester thirsty for revenge against Marcus, his new archenemy.

The truth can set you free. Unless you’re an hour-long dramatic series centered around a mystery with potentially supernatural and/or science fictional aspects hiding in the wings. If that’s the case, the truth can ruin you. Last year, Fox debuted Wayward Pines, a new show based on a series of mysterious books centering around a perpetually perturbed Secret Service agent and the indescribably weird town he wakes up in following a car accident, and it all worked – for five episodes.
The fifth episode of season one – titled “The Truth” – gave viewers just that, in a ballsy move that played directly against the enigmatic nature of its progenitors. But then the season went downhill, failing to capitalize on our knowledge of Wayward Pines‘ true nature and unable to prove that such a brave decision so early on in a show’s lifespan is one worth making.

During a Wondercon 2016 roundtable for the second season of the Wayward Pines TV series on Fox, M.
