Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch recently discussed The CW show, sharing their thoughts on the season finale. Titled "It Went By So Fast," the final episode aired on December 2, 2024, and depicted the iconic characters' respective deaths three decades after putting away their archnemesis Lex Luthor.
Hoechlin and Tulloch were on Megacon's Superman & Lois panel. In response to Cbr's question about their initial reaction to Superman & Lois Season 4's script, Tulloch responded, "I was surprised they went so full circle." Hoechlin added, "I thought it was very bold. When I read it, I felt different than when we started shooting it. I knew it would be good." In the season finale, Lois passes away after her cancer returns, with Clark joining her in the afterlife a few years later after dying of heart failure. The pair, however, enjoyed a full life together before their deaths.

Traditionally, the first episode of a television show, or pilot, is produced long before the rest of the series. This allows executives to evaluate which aspects of the show work and make adjustments to those that don't. While these alterations tend to be small tweaks, there are times when a pilot bears little resemblance to the show fans will come to know and love.
This ability to morph and grow is one of television's greatest strengths. Because stories are ongoing, writers can get a feel for their actors' skills and tailor the characters to suit their strengths. There are also opportunities to shift storylines in light of factors like characters' chemistry or fan reactions.

Hallmark Mystery fans have been impatiently waiting for news on which mystery series will be back in 2025. Although the network is starting the year pretty slow by streaming the former CW-aired series, the Hallmarkesque The Spencer Sisters on Hallmark+ in January, and The Jane Mysteries: A Deadly Prescription on Hm, these mystery fans will surely want to know what the future holds.

Although initially billed as the first television series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios never properly acknowledged S.H.I.E.L.D., despite the show including numerous tie-ins to the theatrical movies during its first three seasons. While Winderbaum didn't provide an exact confirmation or denial during his interview with Screen Rant, he did share that he had spent a considerable amount of time pondering the question. "Well, I'll tell you this, and put it to you like this. It's exciting for me to think about how to square those ABC shows with the canon," he remarked. With the series finale of Superman & Lois fans of DC Comics' and Superhero storytelling may need a new show to tide them over. Luckily, in this new Golden Age for comic book adaptations, there are plenty of options for viewers to choose from, including more than one featuring the Man of Steel. The finale of Superman & Lois didn't just end that series, but it also brought the most impressive run of DC Comics' TV adaptations to an end.
For nearly 20 years (and more counting The WB years), The CW was home to a number of bingeable series. Perhaps the most prominent ones are those in the Arrowverse -- a suite of shows with shared continuity that first introduced Tyler Hoechlin as Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane. However, these series are worth it on their own, as they each adopted different styles and tones, from dark to openly silly.

Superman And Lois: The Man Of Steel Is Becoming A "Regular Guy" In First Look At Next Week's Episode
Last night's episode of Superman and Lois concluded with the Kent family scoring a (no-doubt temporary) victory over Lex Luthor, but it looks like an unexpected development may soon give the opportunistic villain the upper hand yet again.
Lois attempted to steer Luthor away from his desire for revenge by reuniting him with his daughter Elizabeth (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum Elizabeth Henstridge - who also directed the episode), but when that didn't work, she tried her luck with the monster who violently murdered her husband and father, Doomsday.
Somehow, Lois was able to appeal to the Bizarro Superman part of Doomsday by reminding him that he had a family of his own on the Inverse World, and the powerful creature agreed to depart. This leaves Luthor without his most formidable weapon against Superman... however, the promo for next week's episode, "Regular Guy," suggests it might...

As the fourth and final season of Superman & Lois fast approaches, it was recently announced that Lex Luthor's daughter is set to appear in an upcoming episode. While this character has yet to have a name, she will be played by one of the show's directors, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum Elizabeth Henstridge. Luthor's daughter was first mentioned back in Season 3, when the DC villain was released from prison and the only thing we know about her is that she cut contact with her father after he was arrested.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. addresses critic and fan concerns and offers well-written female characters and unique storylines. Coulson's popularity led to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., showcasing his impact as a relatable, fan-favorite character. The show is beloved for its compassionate characters and familial dynamics, appealing to Marvel fans and newcomers.
It's no secret that the MCU has struggled to produce hits in recent years (though Deadpool & Wolverine crossing $1 billion at the global box office arguably proves that there's still an appetite yet for Marvel blockbusters). Some criticisms that have been lobbed at the franchise include its over-reliance on formulas/lack of risk-taking, two-dimensional female characters, and being so oversaturated with content that it's inaccessible to the average viewer now.
As fair as many of these criticisms are, they don't apply across the board. Each project is written and produced by a different team, so the results are as variable as any other movie or TV show.

There has long been a continued debate over whether Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set in the Sacred Timeline of the MCU. The possibility has gotten an update from Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Winderbaum spoke about the show's status in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, acknowledging how the TV series did hint at MCU connections. However, while not outright giving a clear answer, Winderbaum said that the series "fits into The Multiverse Saga," seemingly hinting that the events of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are set in a different timeline, but could still potentially connect to the MCU through the multiverse. With that teased, the executive couldn't quite guarantee that either, hinting that there was no rush to revisit Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., even with great appreciation for the series.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe that began with the release of Iron Man in 2008 is unique in cinematic history. An interconnected series that currently includes over 50 films and television series, it tells a continuing universal story, with one entry building upon the previous to create an immersive fictional world. While fans of the MCU find this linked world and its many Easter eggs exhilarating, it can prove to be daunting for anyone new to jump into the series with such a storied legacy. It seems Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige agrees and is planning on doing something about it.
In a recent interview with ComicBook, Feige discussed the recent move to separate the McU's film, television, and animation projects in an effort to make the MCU more accessible to new viewers. For several years, Marvel Studios and Marvel Television co-existed, with the former producing movies under the guidance of Feige, and the latter delivering TV shows,...

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was a changed show in its second season. In its early days, the Marvel Television series suffered from an identity crisis. Season 1 started out trying to emulate co-creator Joss Whedon's previous work, yet it played as a pale imitation of shows like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and especially "Firefly," following a ragtag team of misfits on weekly adventures in their flying home base. However, the one-two combo punch of Whedon stepping away from the series and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" blowing up the Marvel Cinematic Universe's status quo near the end of season 1 proved to be just the creative boost the show needed.
Upon returning for season 2, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." had gained a newfound confidence. Its characters began to take on greater dimensions, it really embraced the idea of being a show about everyday people trying to keep the world safe, and it even started...

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. made a mark as the first series set in the MCU but hasn't received recognition from Marvel for its contribution. Star Ming-Na Wen feels that the show deserves acknowledgment for paving the way for Marvel's other live-action series available on Disney+. Marvel seems to have distanced itself from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., contrasting with its active acknowledgment of the Marvel shows previously on Netflix.
When Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered on ABC in 2013, the series received a considerable amount of hype, in large part, because of its tangible connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Secret Invasion has officially wrapped up its run on Disney+, marking the first series in Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The limited series, which adapts the classic 2008 Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, revealed that the shape shifting Skrulls had infiltrated Earth decades ago. Forced to take care of this problem without the help of the Avengers, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and a few key allies embarked on a paranoid thriller that ultimately didn't live up to its comic book counterpart.
Secret Invasion's finale was the McU's lowest-rated episode on Rotten Tomatoes, proving that the series ultimately didn't resonate with most audiences and critics. Marketed as a paranoia-filled spy thriller with endless twists and turns, Secret Invasion fell short of expectations in many ways despite having several solid episodes during its run. While the McU's latest installment didn't live up to the hype, another series in...

No news is good news... until it's bad news.
Apple TV+ has canceled its Uma Thurman drama series Suspicion after a single season.
Deadline first reported the news a year and a half after its freshman finale.
"When the son of a prominent American businesswoman (Thurman) is kidnapped from a New York hotel, the eye of suspicion quickly falls on four seemingly ordinary British citizens who were at the hotel on the night in question," the logline teased.
"As they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic cat and mouse race to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the F.B.I. to prove their innocence, it becomes apparent that not everyone can be trusted."
"Who is really behind the mysterious abduction, and who is only guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?"
In addition to Thurman, the ensemble cast for Suspicion includes Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory...

Apple TV+ thriller “Suspicion” is set to hit the sales block in Cannes at this year’s MipTV market.
Keshet International has revealed that the eight-part series starring Uma Thurman will headline its drama slate at the spring TV market in France, which kicks off on April 17. The Israeli TV distributor will shop linear rights for the series.
Apple TV+ commissioned Keshet U.K. to produce “Suspicion,” which is based on the popular Israeli series “False Flag” and launched on the service in February 2022. Its sales foray marks one of the rare instances where an original on a streamer (that’s still available globally on the platform) has been sold on the open market for linear rights.
In recent years, major SVODs have been focused on keeping originals on their own platforms for extensive periods in order to drive subscribers. However, in this case, it’s Keshet International that holds...
