The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) was the most talked about indie horror film of 2010, and now filmmaker Tom Six has outdone himself in a sequel so disturbing it was banned in the U.K. But now, The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) will be available to all when it comes to Blu-ray and DVD on February 14, 2012, via IFC Midnight and Mpi Media Group, with an Srp, respectively, of $29.98 and $24.98.

The wait is over for the most controversial movie of the year, Tom Six's sequel to his original cult horror smash. The opening-night selection of Fantastic Fest 2011, The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) ups the ante with a brute force unparalleled in motion pictures today.

Earlier this month, we had details on the DVD release of The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence, but there was no mention of a Blu-ray release. Thankfully, a Blu-ray edition has been confirmed.IFC Films and Mpi Media will release the film to both Blu-ray and DVD on February 14. The Blu-ray retail price is listed at $29.99, while the DVD is listed at $24.98, but expect the price to be lower at most retailers (Amazon is currently listing the DVD at $19.99).

There are no details on bonus features at this time, but we’ve included the previously released DVD artwork below, along with links to our earlier coverage:

Although The Human Centipede 2 has been available on video-on-demand services for the last couple of months, we know it hasn’t been available to everyone and have release information on the upcoming DVD version. IFC Films and Mpi Media will release the film on DVD on February 14 at the retail price of $24.98. Expect a number of retailers to offer the DVD at a sub-$20 price (Amazon is currently listing it at $17.49).

It was not without trepidation that I approached The Human Centipede 2 [Full Sequence]. Not having seen the first film (through circumstance rather than choice), I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I knew what a so-called ‘human centipede’ involved, of course (and if you don’t know, you can look it up). Would this sequel be gross-out torture porn? Tongue in cheek (pun intended) black comedy?...

If you aren’t near any of the cities where The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) is playing during its limited theatrical run, don’t worry. Starting today, The Human Centipede 2 is rolling out to a variety of video-on-demand services. We’ve personally seen it on Time Warner and Verizon’s FiOS service, and it should roll out to Zune and other services shortly.

The Human Centipede 2 Full Sequence UK Ban lifted. With the UK ban lifted, The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence has been granted a “18 certificate by [the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)] and can now be shown in its home country of the UK.”

Back in June, the British Board of Film Classification rejected The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) on the basis that it was obscene, “would risk potential harm”, and “would be unacceptable to the public”. They also had mentioned that no amount of edits to the film would make allow them to grant it a rating. After multiple months of discussions and editing, the film has been granted an 18-rating.

According to Empire, 32 cuts have been made to the film and a total of 2 minutes and 37 seconds have been removed. Eureka, who is distributing the film in the UK had the following to say:

“We are really pleased that after nearly 4 months of detailed discussion and debate, we have been able to reach an agreement with the BBFC and to produce a very viable cut of the film which will both excite and challenge its fans. Naturally we have a slight disappointment...

The Palace Theater at 2384 James Street in Syracuse will be hosting a one-night only Human Centipede 2 event on October 18. Doors open at 9pm.

Already banned in the UK, early reviews of Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence verify that director Tom Six has lived up to his promise to make the original film seem like My Little Pony compared to the sequel. And for the ridiculously low ticket price of $7, you can judge that for yourself. No one under 18 will be admitted (Syracuse obviously doesn't buy into the "start 'em young" theory of raising horror fans).

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is actually looking good if you like twisted. Now we get to see how Martin traps the people. The best is at the end of the movie trailer and a victim screams Human Centipede was just a movie. The black and white is cool as well. I wonder if the film will be completely in black and white as well...

The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence is something I (and probably many others) would consider a niche film with a small audience, but there’s been a pretty hefty amount of marketing for Tom Six‘s horror sequel. In addition to two previews, we’ve also seen a poster; that’s more exposure than one might expect for a movie that’s supposed to be so extreme.

After playing at Fantastic Fest last week to divergent reactions, a new, full trailer has shown up at Yahoo. It basically gives us what we would expect, including material that’s trying to be shocking, a demented villain, and dime story pyschology for the antagonist. The only thing that seems even remotely interesting (other than it being filmed in black and white) is the meta aspect to the story — but you’ll have to excuse me for not holding much confidence in how that turns out.

Opening in limited theaters October 7 from IFC Films, /Film has premiered the following official one sheet for Tom Six's The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence), which stars Ashlynn Yennie, Laurence Harvey, Dominic Borelli, Vivien Bridson, Lee Harris, Peter Charlton, Bill Hutchens, Dan Burman, Daniel Jude Gennis, Kandace Caine, Maddi Black, Lucas Hansen, Georgia Goodrick and even Emma Lock. The official poster uses humans to assemble a giant spinal cord. It's pretty badass. Details were scarce until the UK banning which revealed that the sequel "tells the story of a man who becomes sexually obsessed with a DVD recording of the first film and who imagines putting the 'centipede' idea into practice." The film features a 12-person centipede.

Here is the poster for The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence). I have not seen the first film and do not plan on watching the sequel. The film was banned over the summer in the UK. I never agree with banning anything. If you want to see a horror movie with tons of ass-to-mouth then go right ahead, just don't expect me to be there with you. 

The movie stars, Ashlynn Yennie, will be reprising her role of Jenny in the sequel directed by Tom Six. Laurence Harvey will be playing Martin, the new mad scientist who will assemble the 12-person centipede. The new cast members include, Dominic Borelli,Vivien Bridson, Lee Harris, Peter Charlton, Bill Hutchens, Dan Burman, Daniel Jude Gennis, Kandace Caine, Maddi Black, Lucas Hansen, Georgina Goodrick and Emma Lock.

We’re hoping to have more information this week, but until then, a new image has been released to tide you over. This new still was released by Bloody Disgusting and features Martin, who is playing doctor in this sequel, along with Ashlynn Yennie who is making a return from the original movie.

I’m glad we get our first look at Martin, the mad scientist, and some of the scenes in this teaser trailer are good, well shot, but there is some cheese in there as well. I wish Tom Six strived to be medically accurate with this film like he did with The Human Centipede: First Sequence (which we reviewed here: The Human Centipede: First Sequence Movie Review).

Hot on the heels of the announcement that it’ll be opening this year’s Fantastic Fest, Yahoo! has provided the first official teaser for The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence). Writer and director Tom Six‘s follow-up to his controversial 2009 horror film has had a bit of a bumpy road to a release, but it’s about to hit American theaters, whether we like it or not.

This new teaser is different than the one we got yesterday, since this features actual footage; the preceding look was only comprised of reaction shots. Even then, we don’t get a glimpse at the newest installment until more than halfway through, and what we see isn’t all that revealing (read: good), anyway. We are introduced to Martin, who is playing doctor in this sequel and the black and white look seen in the trailer is how the movie was filmed. It has been previously reported that the movie was shot in black and white, and this was not done as a form of censorship after the fact.
