Jared Douglas is a director, producer, writer, and founder of JDG Entertainment.
As a kid, watching movies with his dad and older brother, Jared fell in love with the possibility of cinema, dreaming of one day becoming a director himself. Sneaking off with his dad's camcorder, he made countless short films with friends, igniting his passion for filmmaking.
At 16, Jared traveled to Los Angeles to take graduate-level classes at the USC School of Cinematic Arts before studying at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. While at NYU, he assisted on award-winning films, such as 'Sicario' and 'Demolition', learning from masters Jean-Marc Vallee and Denis Villeneuve. He proceeded to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Film & Television and a minor in The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology.
In 2016, Jared launched JDG Entertainment with the hope of creating the films he wanted to see in the world. His first feature film, The Sound of The Wind, was released in Virtual Cinemas during the Covid-19 pandemic and received critical praise as a standout dramatic thriller.
Jared continues to direct and produce through JDG Entertainment and is in Pre-production on his next feature film.
