Egidio Cuadrado was born in 1953 in Villanueva, La Guajira, Colombia. He was an actor, known for Escalona (1992) and Regreso a Escalona (2023). He died on 21 October 2024 in Bogota, Colombia.
Egidio began playing the accordion at a very young age, at the age of 6. He participated in the accordion competitions of the Patronal Folk Festival of his native Villanueva in its beginnings, an event that preceded the Cradle of Accordions Festival in Villanueva.
