Filmmakers, Roy Kirkland and Doug Sebastian, owners of RKDS Entertainment & Media LLC, with a studio located in Valdosta, Georgia USA, have written, directed and produced several movies since 2006 beginning with a comedy: And There You Are which went national thanks to TLA Releasing Distribution. ATYA was included with Netflix for two years.
After ATYA film's huge success, Kirkland and Sebastian tackled a true story and filmed a documentary titled, A Cross Burning in Willacoochee, about a cross burning in a small rural town in South Georgia. The documentary went on to win Best Documentary at the New York International Film Festival.
RKDS has written and produced many other films including Grandma's Blessings, now streaming on Tubi, YouTube and Reveel. Spook Bridge, a horror film based on the legendary bridge located in deep Southern Georgia, is now streaming on Geoflixzplus. Crazed Intent is a thriller film following two escaped prisoners invading a man's house and holding him hostage (to be released in 2025).
Battle of the Cursed: The Two Kings a limited series in post-production. It is the story of a fraying truce between vampire and werewolf clans to be released late 2025 and in 2026 in four parts.
Rekindling, a feature film based on a Grandfather and his grandson, both battling with PTSD. Rekindling is now streaming on Tubi and Amazon Prime Video.
In 2023 RKDS produced the first of a trilogy of film noir feature movies. The first film, Passion of Fear has been completed. In May of 2024 the second film, A Cause for Alarm was completed. In August 2024, the third film, Suddenly! has wrapped production and will complete the trio of films. All three films are in post-production and scheduled to be released in Spring of 2025.
In 2018 RKDS was honored to host the RKDS Film Fest featuring and honoring Hollywood Legend, Burt Reynolds. It was the last public appearance outside his home area that Mr. Reynolds would have attended before his passing six weeks later.
With more films in pre-production including The Reckoning, The Prince of Pisdonland and Broken Commitment, RKDS Entertainment and Media, LLC (Roy Kirkland and Doug Sebastian) continue to rise and make their mark in the film industry. Onward and upward!
