Kelly Yvonne as been dancing since the age of 13 and danced
competitively throughout high school. She studied at University of
California, Berkeley and received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture,
with a minor in City and Regional Planning and Modern Dance. Amid her
studies, she continued to perform as both a dancer and choreographer
for the Cal Dance Team and the NBA's Golden State Warriors Dance Team.
After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles where she danced and choreographed for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers Spirit Dance Team. She also choreographed routines for the NBA's Portland Trailblazers' Dance Team. While a member of the Clippers Spirit Dance Team, she performed with artists, such as Beyonce and Andre 300.
In 2004, Kelly Yvonne was selected to be a scholarship student at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio in North Hollywood, CA.
Due to an injury, Kelly Yvonne turned her attention to the behind-the-scenes aspects of performing arts and created Vin'yet Productions, a Los Angeles-based entertainment production company, in the Summer of 2005. She soon began producing and directing a variety of shows including art exhibits, concerts, film festivals, fashion shows and, most recently, an artistic pole dance showcase.
In 2009 she started pole dancing for the fitness potential and, at the time, had retired from professional dancing. Ultimately (and unintentionally) pole dancing revived her performing career!
She has choreographed numerous award-winning routines for professional pole dancers, including Natasha Wang (2010 USPDF West Coast Champion, California Pole Dance Championship and Tri-Pole Challenge 1st Place Winner); and Amber Richard (2010 APFA Pole Artist of the Year).
She fuses her architectural design background with her love for performing arts to create unique and dynamic live shows. She is the director, choreographer and producer of Girl Next Door - a Pole Dance Soiree, in Hollywood, California.
