Michael Grimm formed a strong bond with his grandparents. When his
grandparents lost everything in Hurricane Katrina, he performed as a
singer on America's Got Talent to win $1,000,000 which he would spend
to help rebuild his grandparents' home. He won the competition, winning
the $1,000,000 prize as well as a recording contract.
