Joey Ariemma is an actor and musician based in Los Angeles, California from Cleveland, Ohio. Joey lives in two worlds; starring in feature films, short films, and commercials as well as touring the world to play guitar as a celebrated musician for audiences by the thousands.
As a child growing up in Ohio, music was his focus. A lifelong music lover, he has a natural ear and a deep devotion to the guitar. He left college after being picked up by an established rock band as lead guitarist. This led to his first national tour, which brought him to Nashville. Joey honed his craft for three years in Nashville writing and producing songs. After a few studio trips to Los Angeles, Joey was recruited to join an even bigger band to tour internationally.
After being deeply inspired by the greats such as Pacino, De Niro, and Gandolfini, Joey decided to pursue acting and made his home in Los Angeles. He has always found himself drawn to complex characters who showcase a darker side. In 2019, Joey landed his first role in the film "When Devils Play". The film follows a woman determined to bring a crime family to justice. Joey shared the screen with Tom Sizemore and Zulay Henao. Joey played Sizemore's son, confident and brash, heir to the family throne. In 2022, Joey landed the leading role of Nate Hawking in "Handyman From Hell" on the Lifetime Movie Network featuring Jodie Sweetin, Steve Hofstetter, Michael Ian Black, Frank Caliendo, and Vic Dibitetto. In the film, Joey is a vengeful outsider with a dark past. In order to infiltrate a family, he effortlessly bounces between a charming neighborhood hero to a murderous psychopath, showcasing his immense range as an actor.
"Handyman From Hell" premiered on Lifetime Movie Network Thursday, October 19th, 2023. After beating out all other October debuts by 12%, "Handyman From Hell" got picked up by Lifetime and made its network television debut March 10th, 2024.
