Since the start of Netflix comedy series Tires, one of the main storylines is the fact that Will (Steven Gerben) hasn't been able to impress his father, Jonathan, in their family auto-repair business. Though by the end of season 1, the two finally get on the path of finding common ground and Will is able to get through to his dad. Which was heartwarming to see! So what about in Tires season 2?

The good news is that we sort of know when the second season of the show is coming. While the streamer hasn't shared an exact release date just yet, Tires season 2 has been confirmed for a 2025 release on Netflix. Yay! I know that's very vague right now. Though with the streaming service waiting around two years between seasons for most of its shows, this is really good news.

Netflix has revealed more information about season two of Shane Gillis' comedy series Tires. The new season will see Vince Vaughn among other guest stars, joining Spider-Man franchise star Thomas Haden Church.

Variety reports that Tires' second season will include guest stars Ron White, Jon Lovitz, Veronika Slowikowska and Steph Tolev. The season will also include Thomas Hayden Church as Phil, the wealthy father of Gillis' character of Shane. Details about the guest stars' roles in the workplace comedy series have yet to be revealed at this time.

The happy team of associates at Valley Forge Automotive Center are back in a fresh drop of images to usher in the Season 2 arrival of Netflix’s series, Tires. After a first season that had audiences united and critics divided, with the title earning 87% and 40% approval ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, respectively, the Shane Gillis-led and co-created production’s sophomore bundle of episodes will pull onto a screen near you in the upcoming year. Along with the usual suspects, audiences can expect to see numerous guest stars drop by for plenty of hijinks around the auto shop with the likes of Vince Vaughn (Bad Monkey), Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Ron White (Blue Collar Comedy Tour), Veronika Slowikowska (What We Do in the Shadows), Jon Lovitz (Saturday Night Live) and Steph Tolev (Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill).

Vince Vaughn is joining Shane Gillis in his Netflix comedy series “Tires” among other Season 2 guest stars Ron White, Jon Lovitz, Veronika Slowikowska and Steph Tolev. It was previously announced that Thomas Hayden Church would appear in the second season as Gillis’ character’s dad.

Details on most of their characters have yet to be revealed, but on Thursday afternoon Netflix released a handful of first-look images from the upcoming season, due sometime in 2025.

“Tires” follows Will (Steve Gerben), the awkward manager of his family’s auto repair shop, Valley Forge Automotive Center. As Will attempts to revitalize the struggling business, he’s met with constant harassment from his cousin and employee Shane (Gillis), who would rather make shit jokes than help customers. Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox and Stavros Halkias round out the cast.

From executive producer Bill Burr, Drugstore June stars Esther Povitsky as the titular June, a wannabe influencer juggling multiple issues: her parents pressuring her to move out, her ex-boyfriend accusing her of stalking, and two detectives who suspect she’s involved in the robbery of the local pharmacy.

For stand-up comics gathered at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal this week, booking club dates across North America and arena dates worldwide represents far more than a way to stay busy and pay the rent during the Hollywood writers and actors strikes.

It’s what live comedy artists do year-round, taking to the road or TikTok and YouTube to hone their craft and build fan followings with an eye to global stand-up touring as the pinnacle of their profession. The result is a strike-proof Just For Laughs festival barely impacted by the current Hollywood industry shutdown as SAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild of America look to settle contract talks with the AMPTP, representing major studios and streamers.

“We know the heart of what we do is stand-up and comedy and that is not affected by the strikes,” Robyn Kaszor, vp of festivals at Just For Laughs, told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

Rainn Wilson is set to receive the Comedy Impact Award and deliver the American keynote address at the Just For Laughs’ ComedyPRO conference, organizers announced Thursday.

As the Montreal comedy festival unveiled its final lineup additions, the fest said Marlon Wayans — star of the horror comedy spoof films Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2 — and Feel Good star Mae Martin will perform solo shows during the 41st edition, as will mixed media artist Alok, Trey Kennedy, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah writer Alingon Mitra, Noel Miller and Ali Macofsky.

Comedians Ali Wong, Jonathan Van Ness and Anthony Jeselnik have joined the lineup for the Just for Laughs comedy festival’s 41st edition this summer.

The comedy festival in Montreal that revolutionized stand-up comedy by discovering top comics like Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle and Jimmy Fallon has seen its earlier move into programming solo touring shows pay off as veterans of Netflix comedy specials, like Wong, Van Ness and Jeselnik, dominate its first lineup announcement for its upcoming July 14 to 29 run.

Comedy special veteran Wong, whose latest project, Beef, has just bowed on Netflix, will be joined for her one-night stand at Just for Laughs on July 26 by special guest Sheng Wang after his own Netflix comedy special, Sweet & Juicy, premiered on the streaming giant. Wong was part of Just for Laughs’ New Faces discovery series in 2011, and the festival named her breakout comedy star of the year in 2017.
