In the years since the Cold War, during which the Soviet Union engineered a team of superheroes under the Patriot programme, the Iron Curtain has fallen and the subjects have gone into hiding outside of the new Russian border. When one of Patriot’s founding members resurfaces years later and uses his abilities to hijack a number of advanced paramilitary robots, Major Elena Larina (Valeriya Shkirando) is tasked with reuniting the estranged teammates. Comprising Ler Landman (Sebastien Sisak), a monk with the ability to control mountains; Ursus (Anton Pampushnyy), a were-bear who can transform at will; Khan Windman (Sanzhar Madiyev), a martial artist capable of teleportation; and Xenia Waterwoman (Alina Lanina), an invisible woman who can walk on water, Patriot aims to stop August Kuratov (Stanislav Shirin) from taking over the world.

One more trailer for this crazy awesome Russian superhero action movie titled Guardians, or Zashchitniki (Защитники) in Russian. We've previously featured two different trailers for this movie, but this final one might be the best yet. At the very least, it's packed with action - and this action is seriously impressive. I might go see this just for the action scenes alone, even if they're totally CGI, they still look cool. The plot is about a "Patriot" program that created a superhero squad, which included members of multiple soviet republics. There's a psychopath who wields sleek curved swords, a telekinetic, an invisible witch, and the most badass one of all, a massive "Werebear" wielding a minigun. Starring Valeriya Shkirando, Sanzhar Madiyev, Alina Lanina, Anton Pampushnyy, Sebastien Sisak & Vyacheslav Razbegaev. Fire it up. Here's the final official trailer for for Sarik Andreasyan's Guardians, or Zashchitniki, found on YouTube: You can...

This summer, many Marvel fans are looking forward to the return of Star-Lord and all of his heroic friends in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which kicks off the summer movie season on May 5. There is another group of heroes assembling this year that may also catch fans' attention, simply called Guardians, which is set for release in Russia on February 23. While it remains unclear if and/or when these Russian superheroes will get a theatrical release in the United States, a final trailer has been released, offering a new glimpse at this unique superhero team.
The trailer surfaced on the Official Russian Trailers YouTube, offering more footage from this superhero adventure. There have already been two Guardians trailers released thus far, both of which have been received quite well, especially for a movie that is completely original, based on no previously-established comic book heroes, and with no built-in audience.

Last month, we showed you the first trailer for Guardians, a new Russian superhero movie that could give American heroes a run for their money. For those who can't get enough of this buzzworthy new adventure, a new four-minute trailer has arrived with even more exciting and action-packed footage. Guardians has been set to hit Russian theaters on February 23, 2017, although a domestic release date has not been set at this time.
Guardians is a completely original superhero movie that isn't based on any existing comic books or other stories. While the name Guardians will naturally lead to the movie being compared to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, this movie is not set in the cosmos, and is more similar to Fantastic Four. For the fans who were disappointed by last year's Fantastic Four reboot, Guardians may just be the movie they've been waiting for, as you can see in this trailer from YouTube.

It's no secret or surprise that superhero movies have dominated at the box office over the past few years. As of now, superhero adventures based on iconic comic books currently represent five of the top 10 movies at the domestic box office, Captain America: Civil War ($407.7 million), Deadpool $363 million, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($330.3 million), Suicide Squad ($262.2 million) and X-Men: Apocalypse ($155.4 million). Today we have our first look at a much different superhero movie, Guardians, which comes all the way from Russia and gives us a look at some new, wholly original heroes.
This domestic trailer surfaced on YouTube, but, like most domestic trailers for foreign movies, it features some rather sub-standard English dubbing. Still, if you're looking for a fresh superhero movie that isn't based on any previously-established comic books, Guardians may be just what your looking for. While the title may remind fans of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy,...
