Bill Crossland is a writer, director, producer, and actor from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. A movie lover since childhood, Bill knew at an early age that he wanted to turn his passion for storytelling into a career in entertainment. Originally wanting to be an actor, he soon realized there weren't many roles available for young actors with a disability, so he decided to focus his energy into writing and directing his own projects.
Determined to develop as many filmmaking skills as possible, Bill spent his younger years teaching himself to use cameras and editing software on school computers, writing screenplays and novels at night, and becoming the director of his high school's student-run news broadcast. He went on to receive his degree in Film and Media Arts from Temple University, where he continued gaining experience in many different areas including screenwriting, directing, editing, and acting.
Bill's knack for imaginative genre stories grounded by deeply felt characters has earned him accolades from Austin Film Festival, Scriptapalooza, BlueCat, Filmmatic Horror Awards, the RespectAbility Entertainment Labs and more. His work has screened everywhere from Sundance to Screamfest, and he has appeared on multiple panels for The Muscular Dystrophy Association and The Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, where he discusses indie film production and his journey as a filmmaker with neuromuscular disease.
