Production is underway in Hungary on Laszlo Illes’s horror Ever After, starring Malcolm McDowell.

Written by Hungarian filmmaker Illes with Laszlo Krisztian Gera, the film depicts a group of women celebrating a bachelorette party in an isolated forest cabin, who are confronted by bloodthirsty lunatics who believe they are classic fairy tale characters.

McDowell plays The Frog King, with Bonnie Aarons as The Witch, Michael Berryman as The Hunstman, Kane Hodder as The Big Bad Wolf and Mark Sheppard as The Ringmaster.

Illes is producing the film for US firm Intergalactic Pictures, with Roy McClurg, Fahd Habeeb, Jeremy Hirsch and Marci Matthews.

Fans of classic horror are in for a treat as the first exclusive featurette for the upcoming horror film Ever After has been released, offering a tantalising glimpse into this unique slasher that promises to blend the whimsy of fairy tales with the terror of a blood-soaked thriller. The featurette showcases legendary horror actor Michael Berryman on set, bringing his iconic presence to the role of the Huntsman.

Ever After, an international co-production directed by László Illés, transports viewers to a twisted world where classic fairy tale characters become the stuff of nightmares. The Basement: Press Release: "Philadelphia, Pa, June 14, 2017--Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to the Hungarian occultist horror feature The Basement. Breaking Glass acquired North American rights to the film in June in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and Galen Christy of High Octane Pictures. The film will be released on DVD/VOD on September 5, 2017.
