Joel Shapiro is an established award-winning film producer and multi-decade financier, and is the founder of magiCity Studios. Joel began his career at the investment banking firm of M.H. Meyerson & Company, where he executed institutional orders on behalf of Wall Street's biggest firms.
Joel has financed and produced talent and character driven feature films for worldwide distribution starring some of the most talented actors and actresses in the industry, including but not limited to Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, Academy Award winner Michael Caine, Andie MacDowell, Alexandra Daddario, Bruce Willis, Daniel Radcliff, George Lopez, John Cusack, Katie Holmes, Liam Hemsworth, Luke Hemsworth and Taye Diggs.
Mr. Shapiro received his Bachelor's of Science degree with Honors from Rutgers University and his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Management.
