Since before Christmas, the drama from the set of It Ends With Us has intensified. The adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2016 same-titled novel was a major success over the summer but it was also plagued by a series of backlash for the way Blake Lively promoted the film.

Dealing with domestic violence, Lively promoted the movie as a light rom-com, while also promoting her new haircare line and alcoholic brand. The public didn't appreciate this, and called her out, with the actress hitting Justin Baldoni, her co-star, director, and producer of the film with a sexual harassment complaint, claiming he orchestrated a smear campaign against her to tarnish her reputation. Several lawsuits later, People reported Lively is "surprisingly calm" amid the ongoing legal issues, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, proved that with a selfie.

Actor/director and Jane the Virginalum Justin Baldoni is amending his lawsuit against his It Ends with Usco-star Blake Lively, contending that the actress and The New York Times were working together to plot against him. Per TMZ and court documents obtained by the outlet, Baldoni is alleging that Lively and The New York Times engaged in “malicious and reckless” defamation of his character starting back in October of 2024.

Baldoni’s team of attorneys claim that observers of the New York Times article published on Dec. 21, 2024, that broke the news of Lively’s sexual harassment legal complaint against Baldoni found metadata embedded in the article. Baldoni’s lawyers said the observers of the article found“viewing the HTML source code for the article revealed references to a ‘message-embed-generator’ that referred to a date of ‘2024-10-31.’”

The latter was further hinted at in a New York Times article, which resulted in Baldoni and other plaintiffs filing a lawsuit against the outlet for $250 million. The It Ends with Us star praised the book’s author on Wednesday for her birthday, expressing how much “my life has changed” since starring in this year’s Justin Baldoni-helmed feature adaptation of the novel.

“Everyone who knows this woman is changed for it,” she wrote Wednesday on her Instagram Story. “She’s calm and steady. Her integrity is her foundation. Her humor levels you outta nowhere. Her quiet fortitude is mighty. And she always chooses the kindest path.

“She loves her fans. She loves her friends. She loves her community. She loves her family. But mostly she loves Diet Pepsi. And oh boy do we love her.”

Netflix has a long, storied history of canceling shows early on in their runs. The winner of the streaming wars may spend billions of dollars on original movies and TV shows, but letting any of those shows live beyond a few seasons is a rarity. 2019's young adult series "The Society" was one of those shows that was a one-and-done, with the series lasting just a single season. But that wasn't the original plan. So, why was this popular series canceled after only one season?

For those who may not be familiar, "The Society" follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to an exact replica of their wealthy New England town, only with no trace of their parents to be found. The series hailed from Chris Keyser and Marc Webb with a promising young cast led by then-up-and-comer Kathryn Newton.

Originally, Netflix had renewed "The Society" for a second season.

Exclusive Updated: Private equity firm Tpg has revealed the name of the talent management-centric company it launched in June in conjunction with acquiring a majority stake in Untitled Entertainment. Named Initial Group, the subsidiary has made a second investment, completing the long-rumored acquisition of literary management firm Grandview. It will be combined under the banner of the larger, actor-focused Untitled, significantly bolstering its lit representation capabilities.

Jeff Silver and Matt Rosen, who co-founded Grandview, have been named Managing Partners of the combined company, joining Untitled’s founding partners Jason Weinberg and Stephanie Simon.

Additionally, Grandview’s Merideth Bajana, Jeremy Platt, and Ben Rowe will be joining the Untitled partner ranks that include Evan Hainey, Elise Konialian, Jennifer Levine, Jason Newman, recently promoted Steven Nossokoff, and Alissa Vradenburg.
