Dana Lee is a very versatile businesswoman, writer, producer, actress, model, event planner, show host, promoter, and public relations specialist.
As an actress, since 1990 she has appeared in various plays in the Chicago area such as Child Support, Macbeth Did It, Fame and The Color Purple, and the independent films in the metro Detroit area, Anamorphia, Allure, and Heat of Passion/Rush of Blood.
Venturing into modeling in the Chicago and Detroit area in 2008, with couture designers Tania Monet (Tania Monet Glam Squad) and Camille Jeneay Clothing (designer Camille Jeneay) that led her to work with various photographers for public advertising such as Darnell (Mr. Ice) Lane, Steven (Fuzzytek) Boyle, Rod Lane, and Tyreke to name a few. Through this she also gained runway and print modeling experience with all of the above named designers.
She then began freelancing as a blogger for Detroitrap.com in the summer of 2008. Within six weeks she was writing web content for the site and attending and participating in various entertainment functions around the city of Detroit, such as Dilla Day, with Maureen "Ma Dukes" Yancy, mother of famed Detroit super producer James "J Dilla" Yancy and Proof Day with Proof's mother Pepper Holton, networking and building on an already prosperous reputation.
With ten plus years in video editing, script writing, pre and post production and content management, she was offered a position as co-producer and host on Detroitrap TV and named Vice President of Web Relations of Detroitrap.com, in which she handled the content, style, and layout of the company website, as well as public relations and event planning for the company brand. She also hosted live chats through Ustream during the broadcast of all company events, such as the producer driven Monthly Mixer and female driven Femme Fatale.
In the spring of 2010 she was offered a position as an Anchorwoman at SVmixRadio/SVmixMedia.com, an internet television and multimedia station, owned and operated by international deejay Nizguy, as well as host of The Cyber Cafe, a TV show based on trending topics found on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and YouTube.
In 2015 she formed her own entertainment production company called Queen Sting Films.
Her company is in pre-production of an original TV series entitled "The Pack", production of its trailer, and production of a video/talk show titled "In Deez Streetz with Dana Lee" both produced by her company, written by her and available for viewing on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. She is also the Supervising Producer for the sitcom My Stepkidz TV Show, produced by B.U.P. Films, which is shown on WADL, an ABC affiliate in Detroit, MI.
In the course of the last six years she has interviewed dozens of local, national and international artists such as Detroit native Big Sean who is signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D label, DRG, who were scheduled in 2010 to open on the Smokers Club Tour with artists Big K.R.I.T and Ludacris, and Boldy James who both are managed by Ced Louie of Searchlight Management, owned and and operated by the legendary MC Search of the 80's rap group Third Base. Not to mention dozens of local up and coming but well known Detroit artists such as Miz Korona, Street Justice, Cold Men Young, Marv Won, Quest MCODY, and Darren Mclaren just to name a few.
Ms. Lee is known for her professional, timely, detail oriented but accommodating style of operation and presentations. Her hands on dedication to any event or project has earned her a stellar reputation in the metro Detroit entertainment community.
