Joe Barra

A natural movie lover, Joe Barra always knew that he was destined for film, but didnt know what that meant. While everyone else around him was pursuing normal careers, Joe knew he wasnt meant for that. It wasn't until he took a communications class in community college where Joe walked onto the set, and as he saw the 3 camera's pointing at him, he knew thats what he wanted to do. Joe Barra enrolled in the New York Film Academy and did their one year conservatory. Upon completion, he was offered to get his Bachelors degree in LA. This was the first act of faith Joe took. He left everything he knew, his friends, his family, and fully pursued his dream. In 2016 Joe Barra did get his Bachelors of fine arts in LA and now he was on his own. Alone in the industry. Joe started off building his experience with short films and theater but never booked anything big. After a couple of years, by March of 2020 he started having doubts. He saw friends and family members getting married, buying homes, and became envious. To make matters worse, the pandemic stopped everything. At a cross roads, Joe was very close to abandoning his dream, but reluctantly continued to press on. His faith and belief in his dream drove him. Joe booked Legend of the White Dragon, his first feature film role ever. That opened the door to the film Failure! which stars Ted Raimi. Finally, in 2024 Joe Barra landed a lead role in Soldier for Christmas. Joe has proved that dreams do come true, and inspires everyone around him. He sets the example of how to behave on set and off set as well.
