Malcolm Dwain Carter

Malcolm Dwain Carter is an American actor, writer, director, and editor based in Houston, TX. Born and raised in Houston, he discovered his passion for filmmaking during high school, creating original short films such as Retribution and The Dance Off. He honed his craft at Barbara Jordan High School for Careers (2012-2015), specializing in Audio/Visual production, and later pursued a degree in Communication with a concentration in Radio, Film, and TV at Texas Southern University. In 2018, Carter earned recognition as a two-time award-winning director for his web series Filthy Prelude, which received accolades at various film festivals. He later developed the digital drama series The SZN in 2020, which evolved into a full-length feature film by 2023. The SZN has since won Best Feature Drama & Best Cinematography at the Always Late TV Movie Awards, further solidifying Carter's growing impact in the industry.
