Vivienne Causemann is a German Composer, Producer and Actress. She spent the first years of her life in Windhoek, Namibia which she considers to be extremely formative for her. At the age of 15, she joined the youth club of the Zimmertheater Tübingen in Germany and studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, Austria from 2013 onward. She studied acting with esteemed teachers such as Ismael Ivo, Janusz Cichocki, and Klaus Maria Brandauer.
In 2017, she had a supporting role in the feature film "Mademoiselle Paradis" by Barbara Albert. This feature premiered at several A-List Festivals in 2017 including TIFF, San Sebastián Film Festival, Viennale, and BFI London. In 2020 she played in David Schalko's SKY series "Me and the Others" which screened at the Berlinale 2021. She has participated in several prestigious workshops with Michael Haneke and Béla Tarr.
In theater, she acted at the Vorarlberger Landestheater in Bregenz, Austria, where she played the female lead in Sophocles' "King Oedipus", Brecht's "Saint Joan of the Stockyards" and "Atlas shrugged" by Ayn Rand.
In 2023 she received the "Recognition Award for Art and Culture Vorarlberg" in Austria. In the 2022/23 theater season her solo play "King Kong Vivienne", developed with director Fanny Brunner, premiered in Bregenz. In 2023 it was awarded a Stella*23 Award as "outstanding production for young people" in Austria. In 2024 she made guest appearances with King Kong Vivienne at the theaters Dschungel Vienna, Austria, and TD Berlin, Germany.
She has produced and starred in various short movies i. a. "The Thin Line" (2024), "Tschickfick" (2022), and "Nadja" (2019). Her acting is strongly inspired by her passion for sports, dance, and music such as mountain biking, running, climbing, yoga, ballet, aerial silk, contemporary, singing, guitar, and piano.
Vivienne speaks English (South African accent and Standard Southern English, as well as heightened RP), German (Swabian, Austrian accents), and French. She also works as a musician and composer, performing on stage as well as for films and dance videos. Vivienne Causemann is excited to work in Drama, Fantasy, and Comedy films and series in the UK, Europe, South Africa, and the US.
