A new and exciting K-drama featuring Little Women’s Kim Go Eun, Love All Play’s Park Ji Hyun, and The Glory’s Kim Gun Woo is coming to Netflix. The upcoming K-drama You and Everything Else has wrapped filming and will be released on Netflix in Q3 2025.

Eun Jung and Sang Yeon is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original drama series directed by Song Hye Jin, and written by The Smile Has Left Your Eyes screenwriter Song Hye Jin. The series is produced by the South Korean production company Kakoa Entertainment.

Historical thriller Harbin held its top spot at Korea’s box office on its third outing, taking 38% of all ticket sales across a relatively slower weekend.

The film, directed by Woo Min-ho, added $2m from January 10-12 to reach a cume of $27.1m from 4.1 million admissions since its release on December 24, according to Kobis, the Korean Film Council’s box office tracking service. South Korean outfit Cj Enm recently revealed sales of the feature to 117 countries.

The overall performance of the Korean box office over the weekend was down 37% year-on-year.

Maintaining its second-place position was Firefighters, which earned $582,000, bringing its gross takings to $23m.

Hell House LLC (Watch Now)

Hell House LLC is a found-footage supernatural horror film written and directed by Stephen Cognetti.

“Wicked,” which was by far the highest grossing film in the world this weekend, failed to give the South Korea box office market a much-needed jolt.

The Jon M. Chu-directed fantasy claimed a strong 45% share of the box office in Korea with $3.58 million earned from 501,000 admissions between Friday and Sunday. Over five days, it collected $4.64 million.

Korean-produced “Hidden Face” earned $1.75 million, and a more than 21% market share, for second place. Over its full five-day opening, it accumulated $2.41 million.

Directed by Kim Dae-woo (“Obsessed”), the film is a remake of the 2011 Spanish-Columbian picture of the same title. It involves a woman who is thought to have disappeared, but instead is trapped in a secret room in her house. She is forced to be an observer as her fiancé becomes romantically entangled with another woman. It stars Cho Yeo-jeong, Song Seung-heon and Park Ji-hyun.

“Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital,” an adaptation of the South Korean box office hit “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum” is headed for a world premiere in December at the Metro Manila Film Festival.

The 2018 Korean original was a found footage type supernatural horror film directed by Jung Bum-shik. Based on an actual psychiatric hospital located in Gwangju-si, it starred actors Wi Ha-joon (“Squid Game”), Park Ji-hyun (“The Divine Fury”), Oh Ah-yeon (“Mr. Sunshine”), Moon Ye-won (“Legal High”), Park Sung-hoon, Yoo Je-yoon (“Extreme Job”) and Lee Seung-wook (“Joseon Fist”) in the leading roles.

The new version is directed by Kerwin Go and produced by acclaimed director Erik Matti and veteran producer Dondon Monteverde in partnership with actor Enrique Gil. Production is through Reality Mm Studios.

Following the format of the Korean original, the group of Filipino amateur ghosthunters will explore the notorious Xinglin Hospital, an abandoned building located in Taiwan’s West Central District.

Flex X Cop is Sbs TV’s latest romantic crime series directed by Kim Jae-hong, from a screenplay by Kim Ba-da.
