Rico Nasty dropped “On The Low,” the latest single from PG County, Maryland artist’s Lethal album. Riding along a buoyant synth riff, Rico croons about a sneaky link, singing, “You already know, I won’t kiss and tell if I get you alone” on the chorus.
“I wrote ‘On The Low’ for the girls,” the rapper said in a statement. “It’s been one of my favorite songs on the record, and shows a different side to the album than Teethsucker I think. She’s sweeter and cuter but just as Lethal!

Rico Nasty is used to the post-tour comedown. She spends weeks, if not months, at a time on the road performing for audiences who restlessly await the days until they can unleash their pent-up rage in one of her mosh pits. And when it’s over, she readjusts to solitude. “When I come down off of a high of hella people congratulating me or hella people loving me, it does get dark,” Rico tells Rolling Stone over Zoom. “You do feel unimportant and alone. I don’t know why our brains do that to us,...

On Blue Lips, Schoolboy Q’s first album since 2019’s utterly unremarkable Crash Talk, there’s a sense that the Los Angeles rapper is trying to make up for lost time. He exudes an assured confidence throughout that, unlike past releases like 2016’s Black Face LP, makes it feel like he has something to prove. He’s able to whip up an endless amount of versatile and oddball flows, and does so with an equally fresh and flippant demeanor.
Schoolboy delivers each word on “Pop” with a tossed-off precision that’s both laser-focused to fit the track’s rhyme scheme and casual in its cadence. He punctuates the word “pop” with a snickering snarl, accompanied by the sound of a pistol being fired. Later in the track, he lowers his voice to a scruffy register, furiously spitting his words out. The entire song, including a notably batshit Rico Nasty feature,...

Note: This story contains spoilers for the “Rap Sh!t” Season 2 finale.
The Season 2 finale of Max’s “Rap Sh!t” sees up-and-coming rap group Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion) cementing their management with Francois Boom (Jaboukie Young-White) as they attempt to “fast track” their success in the hip-hop world, according to showrunner Syreeta Singleton, leaving their longtime alliance with Chastity (Jonica Booth) in the dust.
“He’s shinier and he comes with shinier people,” Singleton told TheWrap of Francois Boom, pointing to rapper and songwriter Pardison Fontaine, who is introduced to Shawna and Mia by Francois at the beginning of the final episode. “What it takes to make it a lot of times it’s like alright, ‘Where am I going to get the most eyes?'”

A few years ago, Rico Nasty’s unique style of rap was making her one of the most interesting and exciting voices in hip-hop. Jonny Pierce, frontman of the Drums, saw her do an interview with Narduwar where she mentioned that she was really into his band’s music growing up.
“When she mentioned the Drums, her whole body just kind of softened and she became very, almost a little bit shy and sweet,” Pierce remembers of the interview. “And so, I could tell she really meant that, she really does love the Drums.

The Drums’ new album Jonny is out today, and along with it is a music video for the song “Dying,” featuring Rico Nasty. Check it out below.
Nothing about “Dying” is expected. On paper, it’s already hard to imagine Jonny Pierce’s indie pop project collaborating with Rico, who veers more toward metal in her own alternative-rap songs. Yet, the single isn’t indie pop or rap rock; with a harp-like electronic melody and nasally, earnest vocals, “Dying” finds the artists combine hyperpop and emo to create something totally unique.
In a statement, Pierce chalked “Dying” up to an unshakeable feeling of loneliness. “For much of my life, I have felt like a ghost floating outside of my own body, outside of my own experiences, outside of my own relationships,” he said. “The song and video portray that frustrating disconnection to self, and how that disconnect plays a part...

The Eric Andre Show has entered its sixth season, bringing with it a star-studded lineup of chaotic interviews. The long-running Adult Swim series is famous for its unconventional style, with the titular comedian pranking his celebrity - or celebrity impersonator - guests with odd questions and surreal situations. The parody of cable-access television also features sketches in-between guests, which are just as absurdist as the interviews themselves.
Following a two-year hiatus, The Eric Andre Show was renewed by Adult Swim last May, promising to be "the leanest and meanest yet." The first two episodes of the show premiered on June 4, featuring guests like Lil Nas X and Jaleel White. Ten episodes in total are planned for the season, with interviewees like Natasha Lyonne, Cypress Hill, and Waka Flocka Flame being featured as interviewees in coming episodes.

Rico Nasty tidies up a house (kinda) while its owners sit tied up in the basement in the new video for her 100 Gecs-produced single, “Turn It Up.”
The new track boasts a pretty minimalist beat, built around the relentless tick of a hi-hat that explodes with speaker-rattling kick drums and grinding synth sounds. It’s an ideal palette for Rico Nasty to go scorched earth over: “I just put the cash in a stash,” she spits, “Why you looking on my page and you ain’t even wash ya ass?...

Rico Nasty is back with a new song called “Turn It Up,” produced by 100 gecs. Check it out below.
Though the track was produced by 100 gecs, “Turn It Up” is sparse when it comes to instrumentation. Little but boosted bass thrums in between Rico’s self-assured flow as she offers the solid advice, “Never pay attention to a hatin’ ass hoe.” Later, her lyrics get even better: “Why you looking on my page and you ain’t even wash your ass?” The track comes with a music video by Isaac Garcia in which the rapper cleans house (literally) as a maid — only for the homeowners to be locked in the basement.
“Turn It Up” follows Rico Nasty’s 2022 mixtape Las Ruinas, one of the best rap albums of the year. The artist is in the midst of a North American tour that continues through May, and tickets are on sale now here.

Over the seasons, Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters has tried to slim down, and some facts about how she sticks to her diet plan have been revealed. The Kentucky native has not been the model of good behavior when it comes to making the right decisions about food. However, after a summer of transformation, Tammy finally seems to be on the right track.
The 36-year-old TLC personality Tammy raised a few eyebrows when the show first premiered. Tammy and Amy Slaton allowed cameras to capture their unconventional lives. The sisters went through obesity-related challenges together, and their combined weight was over 1,000 lbs. Amy was the first to qualify for a potentially life-saving gastric bypass surgery, which meant that Tammy was left behind. For three seasons, 1000-lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton continued to self-sabotage herself every step of the way. This included acting out, drinking, and doing drugs. A pair of virtual celebrities — the “lazy and spectacularly incompetent” Janky and Guggimon — could be starring in Amazon’s next Prime Video original series.
Amazon announced that it is leading a 20 million investment round in character-design studio and art toy maker Superplastic, and alongside the funding Amazon Studios signed a first-look TV and film pact with Superplastic.
Under the first-look deal, Amazon Studios currently is in early development on “The Janky & Guggimon Show,” featuring Superplastic’s two most famous synthetic celebrities. Per the companies, the show follows the adventures of “two lazy and spectacularly incompetent best friends who are hell-bent on getting rich and famous but leave a trail of chaos and destruction in their wake.”
The cat-like Janky is described as a “lovable idiot who spends his spare time scamming celebrities,” while the rabbit-esque Guggimon (who displays disturbingly sharp teeth) is a “fashion icon and master manipulator who’s too narcissistic to care.

Tammy Slaton has been lying low, but a new 1000-lb Sisters season is fast approaching, and curious fans want to know how she rang in the New Year. 2022 wasn't easy for Tammy, as she entered a rehabilitation center in Ohio after a near-death experience. Now on the mend, Tammy is looking forward to a happy and healthy 2023.
For years, Tammy was advised to lose weight for health reasons, and she has shared that she is addicted to food. While her sister Amy Slaton Halterman qualified for a gastric bypass procedure during season one, Tammy was known to sabotage herself with her less-than-lovely attitude. 1000-lb Sisters fans didn't think that she was committed to leading a healthier lifestyle, as she was often caught drinking, smoking, and eating high-calorie snacks. However, after her lung collapsed, Tammy seemed to have a whole new lease on life. She started to make some positive changes.

Eagle-eyed fans of 1000-Lb Sisters noticed a holiday miracle after Tammy Slaton was spotted without her trach. The Kentucky native has had to fight hard to recover from her near-death experience after her lung collapsed last year. As a new year has just begun, it looks like Tammy is on the upswing and ready to start her healthier life.
Tammy has just been seen without her trach for the first time in months. Thanks to a new TikTok video that showed Tammy singing to Doja Cat, fans noticed her breathing tube had finally been removed and had been replaced with a gauze Band-Aid. After her lung collapsed, surgeons had to make a hole at the front of the neck and windpipe to ensure she could breathe. At the time of her health crisis, doctors feared the 1000-Lb Sisters star might not survive, but Tammy pulled through.

Life Is Beautiful feels like Las Vegas … actual Las Vegas, not the touristy Strip about four miles south. Working in the Carson, California, studio from which Top Dawg Entertainment was launched has become something of a rite of passage for new artists on the label. After building the studio in the back of his unassuming suburban home around 2004, founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith rounded up four of the most-talented MCs in the L.A. area — Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul — and brought out the best in them. Nearly two decades later, Tde’s first female rapper found herself in the wood-paneled, windowless cave known as the House of Pain.
