Producer & director. José David Díaz was born in Huelva in 1985. Trained in Direction, Screenplay and Production at ECAM and ICM, he began working in the audiovisual sector in 2007 as a photographer. In 2013 he decided to set up his own brand under which to produce his own projects. Since then his career has been linked to different film professions: director, editor, sound engineer and more broadly in the production department. It is in 2017 when he assumes the position of Executive Producer of a project for the first time. In 2020 he founded the production company The Blue House Films and immersed himself in the production of several select projects with a marked authorial character. The projects it has produced have gone through more than 150 festivals, garnering more than 50 awards, such as Fantaspoa (Brazil), Fantbilbao (Spain), Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival, Seville European Film Festival, FESCIGU in Guadalajara, Film Festival from Alicante or the project "Fueron los Días", Nominated for 4 Carmen Awards in 2024. He is currently immersed in the production of two feature films documentaries: "Half a century of cinema" directed by Remedios Malvarez from Huelva and which will tell the story of the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival, and "Diego Díaz Hierro. A forgotten poet" that will cover the life and work of the poet, chronicler, professor and researcher from Huelva. He is currently immersed in the production of several international projects.
