With only a couple more episodes to go until the Season 3 finale, Reacher is entering the home stretch and things are definitely heating up. After last week’s monumental cliffhanger, Reacher (Alan Ritchson) finally comes face to face with Julius McCabe. Despite my sneaking suspicions, it turns out that McCabe and Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee) are indeed the same person. Whomp, whomp.

I’m a little disappointed that I was wrong, but here we are. While there was no surprise with Season 3’s villain, there was still a slight twist. Despite being shot off the edge of a cliff and falling into an icy river below, Quinn seemingly has no recollection of Reacher from all those years ago. I guess he was telling the truth about his retrograde amnesia during his time in the hospital. Who would have thought?

HBO's hit series The Last of Us has released a new trailer along with a release date for the upcoming Season 2. With the original series premiering almost two years ago in January 2023, viewers have patiently waited for any and all news regarding the second season, which is set to adapt the second video game, The Last of Us Part II. Now, a brief new teaser trailer has given us a new look at the upcoming series and the official release date, April 2025.

The Last of Us Part II was a game plagued by controversial discourse regarding its subject matter and characters, primarily due to story leaks after a hacker broke into the servers of Naughty Dog, the video game company that created the series. Many of the story choices in the video game have been heavily discussed to this day, making the upcoming second season, which will adapt it, all the more interesting.

Christmas is described as the "most wonderful time of the year," as it brings people back to their families, where they get together and spread joy. The holiday has become one of the most profitable times of the year for many businesses, and big studios have been banking on Christmas-themed films for years.

There are many different options out there, with Hallmark, Netflix, and many others banking on countless cheesy rom-coms, and classics like 2003's Love Actually and 1990's Home Alone being on many people's watchlist tradition over the holiday. However, with 1988's Die Hard being quoted as a Christmas classic, the Christmas genre started adding more subgenres, including action, horror, and more. In 2022, David Harbour portrayed a different Santa Claus in Violent Night, and, with a sequel in the works, the writers teased during an interview with CinemaBlend that there will be "more violence, more Christmas spirit," but also the possibility of Mrs.

Before playing iconic heroes/anti-heroes like Superman and Geralt of Rivia, Henry Cavill proved he could hold his own in the shadows. Night Hunter thrusts the actor into the shoes of Detective Walter Marshall, a by-the-book cop stuck in a twisted game of cat-and-mouse against a criminal mastermind, Simon Stulls (Brendan Fletcher). But there’s a twist, the killer is already in custody. Through it all, the chase threatens to redefine everything Marshall and his team think they know about justice. Altogether, the role has Cavill trading his usual larger-than-life charm for a raw, layered intensity… and it works.

David Harbour, the star of the action fantasy thriller Violent Night , recently confirmed the sequel is a go. However, it seems that Harbour is also to blame for the sequel delay according to the movie's writers.

The news was confirmed by Pat Casey and Josh Miller in a recent interview. Casey and Miller are currently promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and they spoke to Screen Rant about the upcoming project that would see the return of Harbour's version of Santa Claus. Although Sonic is surely keeping them busy with the box office numbers it's getting, the writers took the time to address the upcoming sequel to Violent Night:

Miller: "We're closing in on trying to get a draft out, so we're well underway. Mildly distracting to have Sonic 3 dropping at the same time as our deadline, but I guess champagne problems." [Laughs]

“Merry Xmas, ya filthy animals!” So declares Stranger Things and Hellboy star David Harbour, who has now confirmed that the highly anticipated festive action sequel, Violent Night 2, is not only in the works, but now has a script. Taking to Instagram, Harbour shared an image of himself sporting a Santa hat and sitting next to the real Santa Claus (we can only assume he’s the real one) while holding a script that clearly has the words “Violent Night 2” slapped across it.

While details of the Violent Night sequel have been few and far between since audiences met Harbour’s much more violent version of Saint Nick back in 2022, this is now likely to change, with the actor seemingly eager to return for more bloody Christmas action.

New reports reveal plans for a third season of HBO's massively popular series The Last of Us, with filming dates and locations now released.

According to Production Bulletin, not only is the third season of The Last of Us already in the works, but it also reportedly has a production start scheduled for Summer 2025. This is particularly surprising since Season 2 of the series has yet to premiere, but it highlights HBO's confidence in the franchise. Season 2 of The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal, is currently set to premiere in Spring 2025. This could mean that production on Season 3 may begin shortly after the final episode of Season 2 airs on HBO next year.

Violent Night is starting to feel more like "Silent Night" given the lack of updates on the hotly anticipated sequel to the 2022 Christmas action flick. Luckily, David Harbour, who portrayed Santa Claus in the movie, has shared an update on the development status of Violent Night 2.

During an interview with ComicBook.com to promote his latest project — DC Studios' adult animated superhero series Creature Commandos on Max — Harbour confirmed that Violent Night 2 was still in development and that the interviewer was not alone "in that desire" to see the sequel get made. "Well, keep your eyes peeled because I also love that movie, and I think that Universal was excited about that idea as well. So we’re working a little bit," he continued. "I do think there’s some very talented people working on it, so yeah, I’m excited about [it]."

Joel, Ellie, and the rest of The Last of Us cast are returning to TV screens next spring.

Per IGN, HBO's Casey Bloys confirmed at a 2025 programming slate presentation that The Last of Us season 2 will premiere in spring 2025, though an exact month and date weren't announced. By comparison, it was also announced that season 2 of James Gunn's DC series Peacemaker will drop in August, making it the third Dcu project released after Creature Commandos and Gunn's Superman movie starring David Corenswet.

The second season of the highly-anticipated video game adaptation is getting nearer.

The Last of Us and Peacemaker were among several returning shows teased in a recent 'Coming to Max in 2025' promo, with additional footage previewing Dune: Prophecy, The White Lotus, Hacks, and The Gilded Age and new shows like It: Welcome to Derry.

The Last of Us premiered in 2023 and it was a major success, as the Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey-led adaptation of the popular did justice to its source material. Given its success, Max renewed the series, which will return in 2025 with Season 2.

On Nov. 11, Max debuted a teaser trailer for the upcoming titles that will come on the platform in 2025. The streaming service offered a sneak peek at several new series, including the new Game of Thrones spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and Stephen King's It prequel series, It: Welcome to Derry. At the same time, it featured sneak peeks at new seasons from returning series like The White Lotus Season 3, And Just Like That Season 3, and The Last of Us Season 2.

Game of Thrones' Lena Headey and Barry's Henry Winkler have joined the cast of Bob Odenkirk's upcoming action movie Normal. Odenkirk was previously confirmed to be reuniting with Nobody screenwriter Derek Kolstad for the project, which will be directed by Meg 2: The Trench's Ben Wheatley. The story features Odenkirk playing a stand-in sheriff named Ulysses in the Minnesota town of Normal, where Ulysses uncovers a shocking discovery following a local bank robbery. Filming has already wrapped on Odenkirk's other upcoming action movie, Nobody 2.

As per Variety, Headey will be playing the local bartender while Winkler plays the mayor of Normal. The movie's production in Winnipeg, Canada began in October and is scheduled to continue through December, with the project being produced by the same team who worked on Nobody and Nobody 2. Ryan Allen, Billy MacLellan, Brendan Fletcher, Peter Shinkoda and Jess McLeod have also joined the cast in supporting roles.

Henry Winkler and Lena Headey have joined Bob Odenkirk in the upcoming action movie “Normal,” from the producing team behind the 2021 hit “Nobody.”

In “Normal,” Odenkirk plays Ulysses, who is appointed substitute sheriff in the tiny Minnesota town of Normal, populated by friendly Midwesterners. When the local bank is sacked, Ulysses “unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive than a simple bank robbery,” per the logline.

Winkler, star of “Happy Days” and “Barry,” will play the mayor of Normal, while “Game of Thrones” and “300” favorite Headey is the local bartender, Moira.

“Normal” is directed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay written by “John Wick” creator Derek Kolstad, who shares a story credit with Odenkirk. Producers are Marc Provissiero (“Nobody,” “No Hard Feelings”), Odenkirk and Kolstad, who all recently wrapped “Nobody 2.”

It will always be impossible to separate Henry Cavill from his performance as Superman in the Dceu, but in between his roles as Justice League and the Zack Snyder-directed cut of the film, he starred in an action thriller thats finally found its streaming legs. Cavill toplines Night Hunter, formerly titled Nomis, alongside Ben Kingsley and Stanley Tucci, which has been dominating the Prime Video charts of late. Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have confirmed that Season 2 of The Last of Us will feature similar changes to the source material as Season 1. The first season of HBO's hit adaptation was adored by critics and general audiences, as well as fans of the video games. The series ripped entire scenes and sequences right out of Naughty Dog Studio's beloved franchise of the same name, and has been called one of the most faithful video game adaptations so far. Billy the Kid? More like Billy the Crisis Averter!

MGM+ on Wednesday unveiled the key art and official trailer for Billy the Kid Season 2, and it promises to be filled with action.

Seriously, we need the second season right now.

"The epic romantic adventure inspired by the life of America's most infamous outlaw continues in Season Two, as Billy and his allies square off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring," the streaming service teases.

"When shots are fired, the conflict erupts into the bloody Lincoln County War. Amidst the fighting, Billy will struggle to hang onto his soul—and to the love of his life."

"The other side has the advantage," Billy declares in the action-packed trailer.

The 2000 film Ginger Snaps (watch it Here) is my all-time favorite werewolf movie. That was followed by a sequel – Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed – and a very unexpected prequel – Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning – and while I’m not as enamored with them as I am with the original movie, I do get some enjoyment out of watching them. The oddball prequel especially. If you’re a fan of Ginger Snaps trilogy as well and happen to have a Region B (or region free) Blu-ray player, you’ll be glad to hear that Second Sight Films is packaging all three movies together in a limited edition UK box set that’s going to be released on October 30th. Just in time for Halloween, which happens to be the setting of the first movie.

MGM+ this week that Billy the Kid Season 2 will debut on Sunday, October 15, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt.

There is a little bit of a catch:

Four episodes of the season will air this year, with the final four being held until 2024.

A reason for the decision has not been revealed, but there's a good chance it has something to do with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

"The epic romantic adventure inspired by the life of America's most infamous outlaw continues in Season Two, as Billy and his allies square off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring," the streaming service teases.

"When shots are fired, the conflict erupts into the bloody Lincoln County War. Amidst the fighting, Billy will struggle to hang onto his soul—and to the love of his life.

I was somewhat of a late bloomer when it came to my exposure to horror. I lacked the cool older relative or friend that seems to serve as a customary gateway for many genre fans. I had seen a few horror movies growing up (Child’s Play and Scream each terrified me at different points in my youth), but seeing Freddy vs. Jason at the tender age of 15 is single-handedly responsible for the horror fandom that has consumed my life ever since. Prime Video India has revealed a blockbuster lineup of Indian and international titles ahead of Prime Day 2023 on July 15 and 16. The lineup includes the Hindi-language version of “Ponniyin Selvan 2,” starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, “Babylon,” headlined by Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, Gerard Butler thriller “Kandahar” and Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s Hindi-language drama-comedy “Tiku Weds Sheru.”

Hindi-language original horror series “Adhura,” headlined by Rasika Dugal, the final season of hit series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” Tamil-language superhero film “Veeran” and Telugu-language family entertainer “Anni Manchi Sakunamule” are also part of the lineup as are Tamil-language series “Sweet Kaaram Coffee” that captures the journey of three women and Telugu-language Young Adult series “Hostel Days.”

The second season of the hit original series “The Summer I Turned Pretty” completes the lineup.

During this time, Prime members are eligible for discounts up to 50% discount when purchasing add-on subscriptions from the 18 streaming services available on Prime Video Channels.

It’s time for David Harbour to take a turn portraying Father Christmas. Known for other fatherly roles like Jim Hopper in Netflix’s “Stranger Things” and Alexei in Marvel’s “Black Widow,” the actor takes on a Christmas night crime in addition to Santa’s yearly duty of delivering presents across the entire planet in one night in the R-rated actioner “Violent Night.” John Leguizamo plays the bad guy — Scrooge.

From director Tommy Wirkola, the film has a runtime of 1 hour and 52 minutes. Within that time frame, David Harbour’s Santa Claus embarks on his mission to drop off presents, when John Leguizamo and his cronies interrupt the regularly scheduled program by attempting a robbery of a very rich family.

Violent Night is a season comedy action movie that features a rather burnt out and disenchanted Santa Claus, who has to dig deep to muster a fight for what is right.

The film is directed by Tommy Wirkola, and stars David Harbour (Santa), Beverly D’Angelo and the great John Leguizamo. The original and funny screenplay is written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller.

A comedy that at times is completely absurd, amusing and funny, at others very violent, and even so, manages to convey the Christmas spirit and ambiance. We have not felt so much Christmas fervor since Bad Santa.

Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for the upcoming holiday film "Violent Night," starring David Harbour. This comes shortly before the movie makes its debut at New York Comic Con on October 7, 2022. This happy holiday romp (kidding ... this will be just as violent as the title says) showcased some footage earlier this year at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, with /Film's own Ben Pearson describing it as a combination of "John Wick" and "Krampus." In the film, mercenaries attack a wealthy family's estate on Christmas Eve, and jolly old Saint Nicholas has to save the holiday ... however he can. 

The film has been described as "a coal-dark holiday thriller that says you should always bet on red." After launching a delayed hybrid version of its annual event last summer, the Tribeca Festival is back with a multi-pronged approach to its vast programming this month. Once again, the festival will host a number of in-person events, including films, talks, masterclasses, and starry events, but those looking to enjoy the event from home will still be able to participate, thanks to the Tribeca At Home platform.

This year’s festival will open with the Jennifer Lopez Netflix documentary “Halftime” on June 8.
