‘…’Wolverine’ has remained ‘adamantium’- tough through mutantkind’s darkest times, but the fall of ‘Krakoa’ breaks him and he retreats to where the Wolverine legend began—the Canadian wilderness, in Saladin Ahmed and Martín Cóccolo’s new ‘Wolverine’ ongoing series as part of the ‘X-Men: From The Ashes’ era”:
“…there’s a killer in the woods – and as an attempt at peace is shattered, old enemies re-emerge as an ancient force awakens.
“Predating the ‘Marvel Universe’ as we know it, this primal being takes a special interest in ‘Logan’, but does it see him as a hero worthy of his legendary reputation or an affront to creation that needs to be eliminated?
“With ‘Nightcrawler’ by his side to bring his old friend home, Logan will have to unleash his claws, push his healing factor to the limit and demonstrate he’s the best there is at what he does…...

After four years of attempted redemption, Norman Osborn returns to villainy as Green Goblin in Amazing Spider-Man #50, donning his iconic villain and setting his sights on Peter Parker once more. In the preview pages for the issue, Peter Parker is shocked by Osborn's transformation back into Green Goblin, setting up a dramatic showdown between two characters who were allies up until very recently. The return of the Green Goblin to Marvel Comics feels monumental, as the next chapter of Norman Osborn's long history of villainy is set to be written.
It has been nearly four years since Marvel Comics readers were last privy to the antics of one of Spider-Man's most dangerous villains but now, as the latest volume of Amazing Spider-Man reaches a milestone issue, Norman Osborn appears set to suit up and glide into action as the Green Goblin once more.

Jon Kent may not have as much experience with his powers as his father, but he's brought out the deadliest potential of one of Superman's most devastating abilities. Super Sons #11 showcases a certain power that could do more damage than Clark ever imagined.
Fans of the Man of Steel know that the yellow rays of the sun bring out a wide range of powers in Clark Kent thanks to his Kryptonian physiology. They may also be aware of his most iconic abilities such as his freeze breath or superstrength. But fewer may be familiar with Superman's Solar Flare power, an extension of the hero's heat vision. When pushing his powers to their limits, Clark can release all the solar energy stored up in his cells, causing a powerful explosion. Unfortunately, such a display leaves Clark virtually powerless until he absorbs more solar radiation, a process that's taken as long as 24 hours.

Popular DC and Green Lantern writer, Grant Morrison, had some choice words on the decision to kill off an alternate Earth's Flash which, by proxy, kills off a queer romance before it had time to truly blossom. The Flash that Morrison is referring to is Red Racer, the Flash on Earth-36. Created by Morrison themself with Ivan Reis, Red Racer is the fastest man on his planet and a member of the Justice 9, that universe's equivalent to the Justice League.
In their Substack posted last year, Grant Morrison reflects on their Green Lantern series, which soon evolved into an aside about DC's multiverse, which Morrison is extremely familiar with in large part due to the work they did on The Multiversity, a series they admit to being "protective" over. As such, they criticize their friend and collaborator, Peter Tomasi's, decision to kill off this variant of The Flash. This...

While Flash might give Superman a run for his money, the hero has powerful rival in the Justice League that could be quite a bit faster than him. Barry Allen may be Clark Kent's biggest competitor on Earth, but who is Superman's greatest challenge in space?
It's one of the oldest questions in comic book history: who is faster, Superman or the Flash? Both the Man of Steel and the Scarlet Speedster both have skills that put them as some of the fastest beings in the entire DC Universe. Sure, Superman has tremendous power, but Flash is the Fastest Man Alive. Though Clark and Barry are close friends and teammates, they've put their skills to the test and actually raced across the world countless times to see just who's faster. Though Flash has won more times than not, Superman can more than keep up with him.

It seems that the true threat people need to fear isn't a rogue Superman, but an out of control Green Lantern. The fallen Lantern Sinestro gives insight into the true curse of a Green Lantern's Power Ring and how it could spell trouble for Earth.
He might be one of the most gallant protectors of the DC Universe, but the idea of a Superman going evil is an idea few want to entertain. With his tremendous power, not only would the Man of Steel be able to do devastating things in record time, there would be few members of the Justice League capable of stopping him. Even kryptonite, red sun radiation generators, and an army of magic users would find difficulty in reining in an out of control Clark Kent. While Superman has shown no indication that this could actually happen, the fear of the Kryptonian losing it and going...

Batman is no stranger to tragedy in his personal life, he's lost his parents, he's lost children, and he's lost an untold amount of friends, and he always blames himself - but in the case of the death of Damian Wayne's Robin, another Bat-Family member was to blame.
When Damian Wayne was introduced, he was incredibly divisive, not just with fans but with the Bat-Family themselves. Damian almost beat Tim Drake to death the first time they met, and the first villain Damian ever encountered, he decapitated. But slowly, over time, Damian did manage to grow into a legitimate hero. This is why it was all the more heartbreaking when Damian was murdered by the villain the Heretic. Batman was driven almost insane with grief, blaming himself entirely for the death of his son, and went on a galaxy-spanning quest to bring him back, but the one thing Bruce didn't...

It's not uncommon for heroes to have a 'no-kill rule', but the Green Lantern Corps' edict may be placing its members in serious danger. Soranik Natu found out the hard way how a Green Lantern's Power Ring could metaphorically backfire when it's needed most.
It's one of the oldest principles in the superhero handbook: a hero never takes a life. It's a moral stance that defines a number of heroes: Superman, Batman, the Flash. All of them make it a point to not cross the line and end the life of their enemies. Some heroes, like Red Hood or Wonder Woman, may not have as many qualms about killing others in the heat of battle. But for the most part, many of DC's heroes take their stance seriously. No matter what evils their villains bring, heroes with a 'no-kill code' refuse to stoop to their level and kill as well.

One of Batman's unsung skills is how he's created his Bat-Family out of allies and like-minded heroes, an ability that his son Damian Wayne has displayed more than any other potential successor to the mantle. The Bat-Family is one of the biggest found families in DC Comics, but not many members have been able to find their own family once they've moved on from Batman's tutelage. Nightwing, Red Hood, and even Batgirl have all struggled to find a supporting cast, but Damian found one with ease.
There comes a time when almost every Bat-Family member decides to strike it out on their own and try to get away from the long-reaching shadow of Bruce Wayne. Some have had more success than others though, Nightwing has struggled to find a strong supporting cast that isn't just Barbara Gordon or Alfred. Red Hood briefly led the Outlaws but has always worked best as a loner,...
