Jo Beth Locklear

Jo Beth Locklear is a queer, multi-talented artist based in Los Angeles, CA with a passion for female-focused and queer storytelling. Originally from Winter Park, Florida, when Jo Beth was twenty-five years old, she ran away with the circus. Literally. For six years she was a member of the Vau de Vire Society (an avant-cabaret circus based in San Francisco). Jo Beth was a dancer, acrobat and performed various characters during her time with the circus.

Acting since the age of seventeen, Jo Beth trained at the acclaimed American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, studying musical theater. In addition to her acting, Jo Beth earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley. Anthropology is the study of humankind and Jo Beth believes acting is immersive anthropology.
