The press tour for Marvel's Thunderbolts is beginning to ramp up, and the full cast recently sat down with Fandango to discuss a number of topics, including the intense stuntwork performed by Florence Pugh.

Not to be outdone, David Harbour also elaborated on the demanding physical training he underwent to portray Red Guardian.

Said Pugh, "I got on all the emails, becuase it was in the script, and slowly as we got closer to shooting they were like, 'Yeah, I don't think this is going to happen.It's goint to be a crazy insurance ordeal. And obviously, we're not goint to throw Fp off the second-tallest building in the world.'"

"And I was like Wtf, of course we are. We have to do that. So I was being a sassy Karen, emailing Kevin [Feige], saying 'Kevin, this is going to do wonders for the press tour. We have to do this.

Why would anyone ever call the Thunderbolts instead of The Avengers? That's the question the cast of the upcoming MCU film attempts to answer in a new interview with Fandango.

"It would mean a lot more to us," joked Red Guardian actor David Harbour. "A win, would mean a lot more to us."

Yelena Belova actress Florence Pugh also added, "And it's not conventional. We're going to find a really awful way of doing it. There will be plenty of broken walls, and property damage but we'll get it done with style"

Thunderbolts* is an upcoming Phase 5 MCU film...

Alright, let’s talk about Thunderbolts*, Marvel’s big team-up movie that’s kinda like The Suicide Squad but dressed in MCU seriousness. Fans are hyped because hey, it’s Marvel, and even with a few recent duds, the faithful are still holding onto hope. And yeah, post-Deadpool & Wolverine, the excitement meter’s rising again.

But here’s the thing: Thunderbolts* is walking on a pretty wobbly tightrope. It’s got a stacked cast of morally grey misfits like Bucky and Yelena, a dark, edgy vibe, and big crossover energy, yet there’s this lingering feeling that Marvel might’ve tossed in a few too many wild cards. Someone really thought it was a great idea to throw Sentry, a dude with the power of a million exploding suns, into a squad full of glorified super spies.

Shortly after last year's San Diego Comic-Con, a video posted to the Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel confirmed that Geraldine Viswanathan is playing a character called "Mel" in Thunderbolts*.

The Drive-Away Dolls star has previously said that she's Valentina Allegra de Fontaine's "little right-hand man." Fans soon put the pieces together and concluded that Viswanathan must have been cast as the McU's Melissa Gold, a.k.a. Songbird.

A new TV spot for Thunderbolts* has been released by Marvel Studios today. It features a shot of Viswanathan that once again points to her playing Songbird thanks to what looks like a "songbird" necklace.

Whether she'll have the same supersonic sound abilities as her comic book counterpart remains to be seen.

Unfortunately, this is likely another example of Marvel Studios plucking a relatively obscure character from the source material - who admittedly has significant ties to the Thunderbolts - before reimagining them.

Marvel Studios has released the first clip from Thunderbolts*, which finds a down-in-the-dumps Yelena Belova getting ready to jump off a building. She's on a mission but doesn't seem overly enthused to be there.

Disney and Marvel Studios are getting ready to bring back the world's most destructive antiheroes in the upcoming MCU film Thunderbolts*, which is set to feature some action-heavy stunts. Thanks to a behind the scenes featurette, we now have a look at one of these stunts, involving Florence Pughjumping off the second-highest building in the world. From the looks of the featurette, though, Pugh didn't seem to mind the skies.

The summer movie season is nearly upon us and it can't come soon enough. The first chunk of 2025 has been very rough at the box office. Even after "A Minecraft Movie" posted a $314 million global opening, the domestic box office is trailing about 5% behind 2024. We're also miles behind pre-pandemic levels. So, can the Marvel Cinematic Universe help get us back on the right track with "Thunderbolts" in May? In the early going, it looks like the answer could be yes, but it's going to rely on Marvel delivering a crowd-pleaser of old, as opposed to something more divisive.

Early tracking suggests that director Jake Schreier's "Thunderbolts" will open between $63 and $77 million domestically, per The Hollywood Reporter. So we're looking at over/under $70 million, which would certainly be on the lower end for a summer MCU title. That said, this is also a new franchise without many A-list characters to speak of.

Much has been said about Taskmaster's role in Thunderbolts*, with the prevailing theory that she's an early victim of The Sentry/The Void. Another popular theory suggests the anti-hero is allied with Val and will betray the rest of the movie's heroes.

We haven't seen Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts since her emotional final scenes in Avengers: Endgame, but it sounds like Marvel Studios is planning to bring Tony Stark's widow back to the MCU.

According to scooper Mttsh, Paltrow is now in talks to reprise her role for an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Either Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars (or both) are the most likely possibilities, but there's a chance Pepper could show up in an upcoming Disney+ series.

Doctor Victor von Doom will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year, as the lead villain of "Avengers: Doomsday." If you haven't heard, the man behind the metal will be none other than former Tony Stark actor, Robert Downey Jr.

Cameras are now rolling on Marvel Studios' next big event movie, Avengers: Doomsday, and a new report is claiming to reveal some intriguing details about the scenes currently being filmed.

According to scooper Mttsh, shooting is now underway at a practical set for the X-Mansion, aka the Xavier Institute. In the comics, this location is the private estate of Professor Charles Xavier and serves as the X-Men's base of operations and training site.

No photos from this set have been shared online (yet), but we have heard that the sequence being filmed shows the mansion "under attack."

IMAX has released a new featurette for Thunderbolts* full of action-packed footage, plenty of impressive stunt work, and a glimpse at a location that could be "Thunderbolts Mountain."

On the page, it was made H.A.M.M.E.R. headquarters by Norman Osborn; however, when Bucky Barnes later formed his own Thunderbolts team, he used the vacant location as the base for his group. We're pretty sure this is where "Bob" is being housed, though we could easily imagine the movie ending with the New Avengers using it as their base of operations.

"It was a really beautiful experience to make this movie," Florence Pugh says in the video. "This level of intensity is something I haven't quite felt before. [IMAX] really excites me and switches on my brain. It makes everybody full of adrenaline and makes you so appreciative of each shot."

Over the weekend, a first look at Robert Downey Jr. as Avengers: Doomsday's Doctor Doom leaked online. While we can't say for sure whether it's the real deal, we have good reason to believe it is and the McU's take on the character's MCU...well, it's not looking great.

We'll get to that a little later in this feature, but real or not, it still got us thinking. As many of you pointed out when that image surfaced shortly after Downey's 60th birthday, it's not like this would be the first time Marvel Studios has dropped the ball on an iconic villain.

Tom Hiddleston has had to play it very close to the vest when asked about potentially reprising the role of Loki up until now, but following the recent Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement, he can finally discuss his imminent return as the God of Mischief.

"Very excited," Hiddleston told TikTok star Max Balegde when asked how he's feeling about his Doomsday involvement. "It’s been an extraordinary chapter in my life playing Loki, and it's not over yet."

Marvel released the video, which is titled "Wolverine Breathing Exercise | Marvel Ambiance | Deadpool & Wolverine," to its official YouTube channel in support of National Stress Awareness Month, and it's literally just eight plus hours of Jackman breathing menacingly - until he strikes an iconic pose around the halfway mark.

As Wolvie fans will no doubt be aware, Jackman is paying homage to Frank Miller's cover art for Chris Claremont's Wolverine #1 (1982).

There's been some speculation that this video could be setting up some kind of big announcement relating to Logan, but it seems unlikely. Jackman is expected to reprise the role for Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, but this is probably just an excuse to give some additional promotion to Deadpool and Wolverine, which is now streaming on Disney+.

During Marvel Studios' five-and-a-half hour Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal, Thunderbolts* stars Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Sebastian Stan (Bucky), Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent), Lewis Pullman (The Sentry), and Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost) were all announced as starring in the movie.

The team is expected to assemble as the McU's "New Avengers," and in an interview to promote tickets going on sale, Pugh, Harbour, Russell, and John-Kamen all react to the news.

However, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' name wasn't on the back of a chair, meaning Valentina Allegra de Fontaine currently isn't set to appear in the movie led by Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom (you can get a possible first look at his take on Victor here). Needless to say, her reaction is priceless.

Tickets for Thunderbolts* have officially gone on sale, and Marvel Studios has just released a new minute-long sneak peek. In that, we hear The Sentry warn the movie's heroes, "I am The Void...there's no use fighting! You don't know what I'm capable of. Maybe I need to show you."

Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, meanwhile, explains, "He's invincible, all-powerful, [and] stronger than all of The Avengers rolled into one." Only the Thunderbolts can stop him, and in the process, bring Bob back to the side of the angels as The Sentry.

Thunderbolts* doesn't look set to be anything like what most fans imagined when it was first announced, and the Golden Guardian arguably remains the movie's biggest mystery. Well, that and whatever the deal is with Taskmaster.

A new trailer for Marvel's Thunderbolts* movie gives fans the best look yet at the film's villain. The Void, a malevolent alter-ego of Robert Reynolds (Sentry), will cause chaos for the Thunderbolts team in the new movie.

Shared by Marvel Studios on X, the minute-long trailer sees The Void descending upon the city as people instantly start vanishing. "I am The Void. There is no use fighting," the character says ominously. Julia Louis-Dreyfus' character, Valentina Allegdra de Fontaine, then teases The Void's abilities, saying, "He's invincible, all-powerful, stronger than all of the Avengers rolled into one." The footage then cuts to a silhouetted Void seemingly talking to Yelena Belova. "You don't know what I'm capable of," he says. "Maybe I need to show you."

Tickets for Thunderbolts* are now on sale, and several new posters have been released by companies like RealD 3D, Screen X, and 4Dx.

There are some terrific efforts here, though IMAX's stylish design might be the winner. And yes, even Taskmaster is given the chance to shine (despite popular fan theories that her screentime will be very limited).

There's no sign of The Sentry on these posters, but that was to be expected. With less than a month left before Thunderbolts* arrives in theaters, it seems the plan is to keep him under wraps until fans sit down to watch the movie in theaters. We have, however, seen the Golden Guardian in action figure form.

However, we know the character has a future in the MCU as Lewis Pullman is among those confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

Tickets for Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* are set to go on sale (and already are in the UK and Ireland) later today, and there's a good chance we'll get a final trailer to accompany the announcement. Whether it'll be completely different to the international teaser below remains to be seen, but this latest preview for the next MCU movie does feature quite a bit of new footage.

Though Bill Pullman's Sentry is still being kept in the shadows, we do see a lot more of "The Void" laying waste to the city as our team of misfit antiheroes do their best to prevent catastrophe.

The teaser also seems to confirm the rumor that Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) introduces Sentry to the world as "Earth's Mightiest Hero" as a replacement for the Mia Avengers, before something goes terribly wrong.

Two of the stars in Marvel’s next Avengers movie just shared an interesting update on the film. Both Florence Pugh and David Harbour were among the names Marvel Studios announced during its big chair stunt as cast members for Avengers: Doomsday, putting an end to the rumors that one (or both) of them would not survive Thunderbolts*. The end of the Doomsday casting announcement stream, which went on for more than five hours, confirmed that the film was now in production. However, while recently speaking to Entertainment Tonight to promote their upcoming Thunderbolts* film, both Pugh and Harbour were asked what they could tease about facing off against Robert Downey Jr. in Doomsday. Pugh said she couldn’t tease anything because “I haven’t read a script,” and Harbour jokingly responded, “Oh, you haven’t read it? It’s so good,” before busting out into a laugh and admitting...

We're less than a month away from Thunderbolts* arriving in theaters. While the movie is taking some big liberties with the comics, it remains undeniably intriguing.

Now, we finally have some additional details about the movie's leads.

At CinemaCon, footage shown to attendees confirmed that Bucky Barnes gives up being a Congressman. Now, we know it's because the hero realises that he can't rely on "the gears of government" to take down Valentina Allegra De Fontaine.

We also learn that Taskmaster is working for Val, as are U.S. Agent, Yelena Belova, and Ghost. Red Guardian, meanwhile, suits up upon learning that the CIA Director plans to kill his adoptive daughter.

Between this and what we've seen in the trailers, it seems Val has used them all for nefarious purposes and sends them after The Sentry in the hope "Bob" will kill them. That or they'll all take each other out.

We had assumed the concept art that was mistakenly shared online a few weeks ago (though the Russo Brothers denied that this had anything to do with the upcoming Avengers movies) featured the Doctor Doom armor and mask Robert Downey Jr. would don in Avengers: Doomsday, but it seems the actor's actual look as the iconic Marvel Comics villain will be very different.

Downey Jr. turned 60 this week, and the artwork on the invitation to his birthday bash in London has now found its way online. As you can see, the art shows Rdj in a green military-style suit, purple cape, and a gold mask that takes more than a little inspiration from Tony Stark's Iron Man armor.

This could simply be some artwork created for the invitation with nothing to do with the movie, but it might be very telling that Downey Jr. was photographed at his party sporting the same curly hairstyle.

Of all the actors announced as being part of last week's massive Avengers: Doomsday's cast reveal live-stream, Alan Cumming might have been the most surprising.

Cumming made his one and only appearance in 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise as Kurt Wagner, aka Nightcrawler, in X2, but declined the studio's offer to reprise the role for the third film because he had no interest in sitting through the arduous makeup process again.

Wagner didn't show up in again until Kodi Smit-McPhee took over as a younger take on the character in X-Men: Apocalypse.

There's been some speculation that Cumming may only be lending his voice to a fully CG take on Nightcrawler, but the actor has now confirmed that this will not be the case, as he's already done a makeup test.

"Isn't it nuts? I'm excited and amazed," Cumming tells Collider when asked about his return for Doomsday.

Hayley Atwell debuted as Steve Rogers' love-interest, Peggy Carter, in Captain America: The First Avenger, but the British actress got the opportunity to voice a very different take on the hero in the What If...? Animated series, before suiting-up as "Captain Carter" (a Captain America variant) for a brief appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

We had previously heard that Atwell might be set to return as Peggy for Avengers: Doomsday, and THR has now confirmed that the Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning star has finalized her deal to reprise the role for both Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Atwell didn't get a chair in the recent Doomsday cast reveal, but we have been told that there will be another announcement at some point.

While speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast recently, Atwell expressed frustration with her Doctor Strange 2 cameo, which saw Carter unceremoniously dispatched by a rampaging Scarlet With.

Last week, Marvel Studios officially announced that production is underway on Avengers: Doomsday with a massive cast reveal live-stream that unveiled a new actor's name on the back of a director's chair every 12 minutes or so.
