This Memorial Day weekend, SpongeBob SquarePants, his best friend Patrick Star and the rest of the gang from Bikini Bottom hit the big screen in the first-ever all CGI SpongeBob motion picture event. After SpongeBob's beloved pet snail Gary is snail-napped, he and Patrick embark on an epic adventure to The Lost City of Atlantic City to bring Gary home. Good for kids

Occasionally funny, trying at times to be heartwarming, this is an okay diversion that is well suited to kids. It's not trying to be hip, just silly and works at that.

Curiosidades
Confirmed to be dedicated to the memory of series creator Stephen Hillenburg, who died on November 27, 2018 of ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease. He receives executive producer credit in the film, as the film began development before his death.

Erros de gravação
In the flashbacks, SpongeBob met Gary, Sandy, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs at Camp Coral. But in the SpongeBob SquarePants TV series, he met them in the episodes, Plankton's Pet, Tea At The Treedome, Truth Or Square, The Secret Box, and Help Wanted.
