... made even more challenging under certain circumstance, but these guys rise to the challenge and inspire to overcome them.
With equal amounts of tears as laughter, three guys, each with their own physical hurdles to overcome, embark on a road trip that will leave you truly inspired and courageous enough to tackle any impediment of your own. Our vulnerabilities and fears are what define our heroism.

What a truly wonderful movie from beginning to end. Want details read someone else's review. Don't forget to say this wasn't useful.

Scott, matt, and mo are three handicapped guys, getting therapy at the same place. To get a little tail, they hire a van and a nurse to check out a place in montreal that caters to the handicapped. Of course, everything goes wrong, but they are determined to get there. Great story. Humor, some raw truth. Some sadness, but that is part of life. Stick around for the credits... there's a bonus clip in there. Based on the 2011 film come as you are, which was written by asta philpot; he actually experienced some of this while in spain, and wrote the films describing it. Check out his story on wikipedia dot org. It's really good. A fair amount of cussing and adult themes, so not for the kids.

This film is funny, engaging and touching all at the same time. It brings a widely neglected issue into the spotlight, which I'm thankful for. I enjoyed every minute of it. Watch it if you can!

I remember seeing the documentary about three guys going to a brothel in Spain. That was turned in to a very funny and sad Belgium film. I have to agree with some of the other posters, it's disappointing to see able-bodied actors playing disabled parts. Whilst the film does its best to address issues And difficulties of being a disabled person, they seem to forget that going on a road trip involves having showers and going to the toilet.
Speaking as somebody who is in a wheelchair it would be virtually impossible to take on trips like this without the aid of a carer. Having said that bearing in mind there are very few films about disability out there This does at At least show some of the frustrations and inability to fit into society being a disabled person.

A very light, passionate movie about 3 friends with different disabilities in pursue of exploration of a world they only heard of. A trip full of joy, deep insight into life and what really matters. I've enjoyed it much. Lovely cast and beautiful screenplay.

I wasn't sure what to expect starting this movie (which is usually a good way to enjoy something - start with low expectations), but it ended up making me feel almost all of my feelings. I really enjoyed it and would watch it again.

Come As You Are delves into the lives of individuals grappling with disabilities, weaving a tapestry of humor and sorrow. The film's moving narrative exposes the harsh realities faced by its protagonists, evoking a profound sense of empathy from the audience.
While the movie tugs at heartstrings with its deeply emotional moments, it doesn't shy away from incorporating humor. However, some may find that the comedic elements occasionally lean towards the childish and immature, detracting from the overall impact.
Initially, the characters may come across as somewhat unlikable. Yet, as the story unfolds and we witness the daily struggles they endure, our perceptions gradually shift. Their vulnerabilities and resilience shine through, drawing us closer to their journey.
The movie is undeniably a sad tale, yet it's also a testament to the strength found in camaraderie and the human spirit. It's a film that resonates long after the credits roll, urging viewers to reconsider their perceptions of disability and embrace the beauty of diversity.

Just a lovely movie about 3 disabled guys trying to get rid of their virginity. As a woman, I found this really heartwarming, well-written, well acted and well-directed.
Some movies are not about super heroes or heists or violence. Sometimes they're just gentle like a car ride down backroads with your family on a Sunday afternoon.
Every character in this movie, the guys, the parents, the coworkers, the cops, the van driver (Gabby Sidibe) really raise the bar for themselves in a way that shines a positive light on human beings learning to grow and evolve. It's not a blockbuster but you come away feeling good about the beauty of flawed but striving people.

Laughed a lot during the entire movie. The cast was just naturally funny, the story was nice and even touching in the end. Definitely recommend this movie! 9/10.

On the plus side of the equation is the well intentioned effort to demonstrate that disabled dudes are every bit as much horn-dogs as their able-bodied counterparts.. and that people are people .. and that people long to be accepted. With a little bit more time & budget it could probably been further nuanced with pacing of the dialogue between characters. All in all I applaud the effort.. especially the casting.. which may ultimately be the most compelling aspect of this film!

The subject stated that all, it's not as funny as the reviews been stated. If you feel it's funny cuz the disability make the scene, I'm sorry for you. Even though, it's really not much laughable moments through the movie. I prefer rewatch hangover again rather this.

The sad part is that this is a copy/paste movie after Hasta la vista, 2011.
The good part is that it's in English.

Come As You Are was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect much of it, thought it was going to be an average movie but it turned out to be quite the opposite. There is not much bad to write about this movie, or at least I didn't see anything bad about it. The acting was really good, and that from the whole cast. Playing a disabled person is not the easiest character to portray but I actually had to check if they were really disabled in real life, that's how good they played that role. The humor was excellent, just the right amount combined with some melodramatic moments made Come As You Are a movie full of emotions. Good job from Erik Linthorst, he wrote an enjoyable and moral uplifting story. Certainly a movie I would recommend and that I will watch again in the future.

I was surprised by the large number of rave reviews on site, so I'm probably going to be such a fly in the ointment.
The movie begins with a bunch of jokes being thrown at you from the waist down. I'm thinking, oh, great, finally an uncut comedy. This is rather the merit of Grant Rosenmeyer, who drags his image of a vulgar prankster-rude the whole film. Other actors get lost in his background. They seem to take the plot away from the frenzy towards the melodrama.
It's not that I really want to laugh endlessly at the characters, it's just that at a certain point the plot becomes so predictable and stereotypical that I just don't want to watch the film 30 minutes before the end.
The genres seem to include comedy. I prefer to shed a tear in more masterful paintings. The actor who, according to the script, "accounts for" the most dramatic events, in my opinion, does not understand how to play at all.
In 2014, "On Wheels" was released with a similar theme, although there are older characters there, but it has a much stronger impact as a drama.

Beautiful and funny movie. Everybody needs to watch this film. I am Paraplegia and this movie shows the struggle of our life minute by minute it's not about only sex it shows what it feels to be dependent. Scotty drops the bag and the struggle he puts in just to pick up the bag is so real. This movie made me smile and emotional at the same time. I just love the movie and the last song of the movie is the best of all. "We didn't ask to be" I just love it. People need to watch this film and understand we don't need sympathise we just need understanding.
Love it.

I loved this movie. I was so lucky to get to see this at Tallgrass Film Festival in Wichita, Kansas. This movie is wonderful. Funny, sweet, sad, endearing and a little bit crazy. Three disabled sorta friends going to a brothel to lose their virginity with none other than the incredible Gabourey Sidibe hired to be their driver. I cannot recommend enough.

This Movie made me laugh more than any movie I have seen in the last few years.
A virtually unknown cast that nailed it. The acting was superb and every actor cast perfectly. The story was happy and sad and funny and real. It showed the struggles that people with disabilities go through in a real life way. If the budget was a bit higher this had the potential to be a blockbuster.

A buddy movie about 3 differently-abled young men who go on a road trip. It's hysterically funny, moving with great character development, and the actors are pitch perfect.
