Winners were announced on March 14, 2025 during a ceremony that was originally scheduled for January 18th. Originally released in 1977, A Bridge Too Far is nearly five decades old. For some fans of war movies, the film has been forgotten, but its availability on a new streaming home could bring some renewed attention to the acclaimed classic.

Directed by Richard Attenborough and written by William Goldman, the film was based on the original book of the same name written by Cornelius Ryan. Apart from dominating the box office with his ambitious releases, James Cameron is also notable for jumping ships when it comes to his love life. Having been married five times, the Avatar: The Way of Water director was once romantically linked with Linda Hamilton, with whom he tied the knot in ’97.

However, his marriage with the actress didn’t last long after Cameron crossed paths with Suzy Amis during Titanic, and the settlement between Hamilton and the revered filmmaker wasn’t exactly cheap.

The success of Netflix’s Terminator Zero is a great reminder to check out the Terminator franchise’s other TV show. Set in one of the many Terminator timelines, Terminator Zero focuses on brand new characters instead of revisiting famous names like Sarah Connor or the T-800. Despite Terminator Zero’s new cast of characters, the Netflix anime explored some classic themes from the franchise, including but not limited to whether Judgment Day can be stopped.
Terminator Zero currently has an 86% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, the highest for a Terminator project since James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. After a series of disappointing attempts to reinvent the franchise on the big screen, Terminator Zero proved that there is still room for new stories within this world. Terminator Zero offers a simple yet effective explanation for how the Terminator franchises time travel works. Set in 1997 hours before Judgment Day, Terminator Zeros timeline ties into the first two movies but takes the story in a very different direction. While most Terminator movies and TV shows take place in their own continuity, one recurring aspect of the franchise is the confusing time travel rules. Time travel is arguably paradoxical by definition, but Terminator hasnt always made an effort to avoid plot holes when it comes to its alternate futures and pasts.
Terminator Zero also takes place in 2022 at the height of the human-machine war. Similar to the original movies, both Skynet and the Resistance are about to send agents to the past. This time, however, Skynet and humanity have somewhat of a common enemy Kokoro. The artificial intelligence created by Malcolm Lee will...

A sci-fi drama unlike any other, Netflix’s 3 Body Problem provoked a mixture of critical acclaim, fandom buzz and political debate with its rather bold adaptation of author Liu Cixin’s celebrated physics-stuff novel. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss — coming off HBO’s Game of Thrones — teamed with True Blood writer-producer Alexander Woo on the daunting project, which tells the story of humanity’s reaction to a centuries-spanning alien invasion plot. Across eight episodes, the drama combined lavish spectacle with intimate human drama, earning a two-season renewal from the streamer despite its lavish price tag (more than $20 million per episode). Benioff, Weiss and Woo discuss their adaptive choices, the season’s unique tonal shift and their (very different) favorite scenes.
Reading over the responses to this season, it’s clear that even a lot of die-hard book fans were impressed by many of the choices you made for your adaptation.

Terminator Zero may fix past franchise mistakes by revisiting events from Terminator 2 in its timeline. The series has the potential to be the true Judgment Day sequel that previous Terminator movies failed to achieve. Considering the failures of Genisys and Dark Fate, Terminator Zero may be better off without John Connor.
Netflixs Terminator Zero has the chance to fix the Terminator franchises major John Connor mistake five years later. Although Terminator 7s status remains unclear, the Terminator franchise will soon return with Terminator Zero, an eight-episode anime series from Skydance and studio Production I.G. Although Terminator Zero is a standalone project, the series seems to be adhering to the lore established in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, including the date when Skynet took over the world. Terminator Zero will be the franchises first TV show since 2009s The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which also took place in its own timeline.

I recently wrote about the surprise Best Supporting Actress Oscar win by Anna Paquin for 1993’s “The Piano.” At 11 years of age, she became the second youngest competitive Academy Award recipient in history. She remains the last child Oscar champ, though several have since been nominated.
The record for the youngest competitive Oscar victory by a child (someone age 17 or younger) was actually set two decades before the practically hyperventilating Paquin accepted her statuette. And it was in the same category — Best Supporting Actress. Ten-year-old Tatum O’Neal, daughter of the late Ryan O’Neal (a Best Actor nominee for 1970’s “Love Story”), delivered a performance in “Paper Moon” that was loved enough by the academy to bring her the coveted award. The younger O’Neal played Addie Loggins, a child turned con artist who teams up with a man posing as her father during The Great Depression. She was nominated alongside...

There were movies about the Holocaust long before "Schindler's List." Superb movies. George Stevens' "The Diary of Anne Frank," Stanley Kramer's "Judgment at Nuremberg," Alan J. Pakula's "Sophie's Choice," and Paul Mazursky's "Enemies, a Love Story" (to name but a few) grappled with this staggeringly evil, carefully coordinated campaign of genocide so that moviegoers could, hopefully, comprehend how ordinary people could become bigoted, bloodthirsty monsters. The answers weren't comforting, but we couldn't move forward as a species without them.
Aside from the "how," there was another agonizing question that needed to be answered, one that was not as easy to dramatize: why didn't more people step up to stop this?
It doesn't take a great deal of research to realize that most good people were paralyzed by a mixture of cowardice and self-preservation. And while it is vital that we keep hammering home this observation for future generations,...

Writer-director Joe Maggio didn't mean to take 20 years to make Bliss, the sequel to his 2001 directorial feature debut, Virgil Bliss. In fact, he didn't initially set out to make a sequel at all. Chalking it up to, in his words, "the arrogance of youth," the director had no interest in repeating himself. Indeed, after making its rounds on the festival circuit, Maggio was offered a sizable budget to remake Virgil Bliss — "If you've seen [the film], you'll know it's shot on a little consumer, miniDV camera; it looks and sounds pretty rough." — and yet, he declined, eager to focus on telling new stories, not wanting to look back. Even when Clint Jordan, who plays the titular Virgil Bliss, suggested revisiting the character throughout the years, the idea, per Maggio, just never felt right.

It’s a story — the attempted genocide of Europe’s Jews by the Nazis and their willing executioners — that has been told many times before. But, say the creators of the new German TV drama The Interpreter of Silence, it’s a story that needs to be told again and again.
The five-part limited series, which bowed on Hulu in the U.S. and on Disney+ worldwide Nov. 15, is up for this year’s Critics Choice Awards in the best foreign-language TV series category. It's been nearly forty years, but people still remember "The A-Team." The action adventure series went on for five seasons, but stuck around in the public consciousness for much, much longer. People still remember the theme song, the cartoonish violence, the catchphrases. But although many viewers throughout the 2000s wanted a revival of the show, the TV series itself never came back.
Instead, we got a feature film in 2010 starring an updated A-Team, with the characters being veterans of the Iraq War instead of veterans of Vietnam. The film underperformed at the box office, however, and they never made a sequel. Unlike "21 Jump Street," a franchise where the later movies have now long-since overshadowed the TV show for most younger viewers, when people of all ages today think of "The A-Team," they're still almost certainly thinking of the show.
So what have the cast members been up to since...

"Star Trek" was the undisputed king of sci-fi television in the 1990s, but it lost that crown in the 2000s; prequel series "Star Trek: Enterprise" ended the franchise's reign with an abbreviated four season run (2001 to 2005). Different shows won the hearts of online fandom, including two contemporaries of "Enterprise" — "Futurama" and "Firefly."
The legacy of "Firefly" far outlasted its 14 episode run; fan demand led to the creation of the finale movie "Serenity" in 2005. Meanwhile, "Futurama" enjoyed a respectable 72 episode run from 1999 to 2003, but enduring popularity has revived it twice, first from 2007 to 2013, and again for a new season which premiered this summer. Short length doesn't mean a show will be forgotten, especially when the Internet can sustain a fandom like never before.
As detailed in "Star Trek" oral history book "The Fifty Year Mission" by Edward Gross and Mark A. Altman, these three shows intertwined in an episode of miscommunication and Hollywood office politics.

Terminator sequels negatively affected the franchise's legacy by ignoring James Cameron's original vision for Terminator 3, which could have potentially resulted in stronger sequels. The decision to reboot the series with Terminator Genisys and change the timeline convoluted the storyline and hurt the legacy of Cameron's original movies. The constant reintroduction of Arnold Schwarzenegger's character and the repetition of Terminator's original story diminished the impact and turned the once-brooding film series into a caricature of itself.
The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day revolutionized the sci-fi genre and turned Arnold Schwarzenegger into an action star - and then came the sequels. Featuring Schwarzenegger initially as an antagonistic Terminator robot from the future and then reprogramming him as a heroic T-800, the first two movies have endured as cult classics and are widely regarded as some of James Cameron’s best movies. Welcome to this review of WWE’s 2023 Money in the Bank pay per view, which kicked off with the titular match – at least the men’s version of the event… so let’s get into it!
Match #1: Men’s Money in the Bank – Damian Priest def. Logan Paul, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, Butch and LA Knight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Judgment Day’s reign of terror just became even more dangerous as Damian Priest scaled the ladder to become Señor Money in the Bank, guaranteeing himself a future championship match whenever he chooses. The action was chaotic as every Superstar battled for themselves, but not before they teamed up to teach Logan Paul a quick lesson in respect. With ladders and tables strategically placed throughout the ring and ringside area, the carnage was taken to a whole new level when Ricochet hit a Spanish...

ABC has handed Drew Goddard’s pilot High Potential, starring Kaitlin Olson, a series order.
The pickup is not surprising; the drama, based on the popular French detective series Hip (High Intellectual Potential) has been the clear frontrunner among ABC’s crop of 2023 pilots.
It is the only pilot ABC is making a decision ahead of its upfront. The remaining five, dramas The Good Lawyer, The Hurt Unit and Judgment, and comedies Keeping it Together (fka Drop-Off) and Public Defenders, remain in contention.
Networks already have been shifting toward year-round development and have not been doing all of their pilot decisions before upfronts. With the writers strike this year, they are even more cautious, taking a wait-and-see approach given the financial commitment and logistical issues associated with a new series order if the work stoppage stretches over several months. ABC has awhile before the pilot casts’ options are up, and...

“Sex/Life” won’t be seeing a third season at Netflix.
The Netflix dramedy, which became a surprise hit for the streamer upon its series premiere in the summer of 2021, will not extend beyond its second season. A Netflix spokesperson told TheWrap the latest batch of episodes wrapped up the story with a happy ending, allowing the show to have a natural close. They added that the streamer was proud of the work of the producers, cast and crew did on the show’s two seasons.
Created by Stacey Rukeyser and inspired by the book “44 Chapters About 4 Men” by Bb Easto, “Sex/Life” centered around a love triangle between a woman, her husband and someone from her past that covered topics of female identity, love and passion from a new lens.

Having already won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in “Elvis,” Austin Butler is on a solid path to triumphing on his first Oscar nomination. His film, which covers the entirety of the titular rock star’s two-decade career, boasts a talented cast that includes past Oscar winner Tom Hanks, who collected back-to-back Best Actor trophies for “Philadelphia” (1994) and “Forrest Gump” (1995). He missed out on a supporting bid for “Elvis,” but if Butler clinches the lead award, Hanks will become the 15th man to have acted in a film that won the same Oscar he previously received.
Hanks has a total of five Best Actor nominations to his name, with the three unsuccessful ones having come for his work in “Big” (1989), “Saving Private Ryan” (1999), and “Cast Away” (2001). Until Butler was recognized for “Elvis,” Hanks had never appeared in a film for which someone...

The Golden Trailer Awards, which honor the best trailers in movie and TV/streaming marketing, awarded Paramount’s A Quiet Place: Part II its marquee Best of Show honor Thursday night during a ceremony in Greenville, Tn.
The awards, founded and run by sisters Evelyn Brady-Watters and Monica Brady, returned after pausing for a year because of the Covid pandemic, with last night’s ceremony honoring campaigns and the companies behind them culled from a widened eligibility window for content created between April 2019-April 2021.
That meant winners in the 16 categories revealed onstage included recent releases like Black Widow and F9 but also the likes of Joker, Uncut Gems, Queen & Slim and Jojo Rabbit, which also took honors last night at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. There were also a slew of non-show category winners announced from Trashiest Trailer to the Don Lafontaine Award for Best Voice Over (see the full...

Before making Hellraiser: Judgment, filmmaker Gary J. Tunnicliffe had worked as a makeup designer on multiple Hellraiser movies and had a big part to play in the terrifying, otherworldly appearance of the demons that have appeared in the franchise. In an interview with Bloody-disgusting, Tunnifcliffe admitted to feeling hurt by the prospect of a reboot to the franchise happening without him after the years of love and dedication he has shown to the world of Hellraiser.
"It's very depressing to sit around and see what's happening now with Hellraiser. People are going 'Oh, there's a TV show, and they're really excited about doing it.' 'Oh, there's going to be a reboot.' And I get no reaching out at all. You think, 'Wow, man. I bust my gut on that thing.' And yeah, you could say 'Aw, the films weren't very good.' My genuine fear is, they're all going to turn out,...

The Hellraiser franchise's evolution is filled with many hits and misses. 2018's Hellraiser: Judgment by filmmaker and longtime Hellraiser makeup artist Gary J. Tunnicliffe added some interesting new facets to the lore of the franchise in the form of the "Stygian Inquisition", and teased an interesting sequel where Pinhead has lost his position as the Hell Priest and become human again. In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, Tunnicliffe revealed how the sequel would have gone down if circumstanced had allowed it.
"The idea I rolled around in my head - and this isn't fully fleshed out - but I'd come up with an idea of a movie that was almost like the beginning of Pet Sematary. It's a family moving across state, and moving to a town ... called 'Judgment'. It's like a town in the South. You realize that the town is run by a sheriff and a judge,...

Ol’ Pinhead will find himself a bit bored in the imminent Hellraiser: Judgment.
Or so says Paul T. Taylor. The actor, who’s about to become the third person to play the iconic character, spoke to ComicBook.com ahead of Judgment‘s release next week (February 13th) and was sure to draw attention to his character’s long, bloody career of torturing souls.
I think it kind of came from the script. It came from Gary’s direction. In this script, it seems that Pinhead is in more of a sort of bored place, but the arrogance is all there. He has all the power. As he says unknowingly, he doesn’t know what’s going to happen, he says, ‘I have nothing to fear.’ He’s just at a place in his life where he’s jaded. I think he’s possibly older than he’s been before in other films,...

Evil seeks evil.
That’s the chilling tagline attached to Hellraiser: Judgment, Gary J. Tunnicliffe’s long-awaited horror revival that thrusts Paul T. Taylor into the role of Pinhead, a cold, calculating demon who hails from another dimension.
As the historic 10th entry in the cult horror series, there’s an air of cinematic legacy lingering over Tunnicliffe’s Judgment, and today, Bloody Disgusting has served up a suitably creepy clip of Pinhead plotting his next move, which ends with a shrill, Inception-esque blast of music.
To offer some context to the footage, Tunnicliffe was on hand to describe the above clip:
The clip goes a little way to explain some of the new mythology and mechanisms, and you finally get to see and hear our new Pinhead in action. We would love to be able to show more images and clips, but finding something that isn’t too blood-drenched,...

Pinhead’s attitude in the imminent Hellraiser: Judgment is one of cold indifference.
Or so says Paul T. Taylor. The actor, who is about to become the third person to play the malevolent Cenobite, spoke to ComicBook.com ahead of Judgment‘s release next week (February 13th), and drew attention to his character’s long, bloody career torturing souls.
Though some may view Pinhead and the Cenobites as angels, their barbaric torture methods are enough to make Jigsaw seem tame by comparison. But even Clive Barker’s Hellraiser is beginning to grow tired in his old age.

William Devane Respects The Text
By
Alex Simon
Few actors ruled the big and small screen with such vigor during the 1970s as William Devane. Using his classically handsome Irish features to embody parts best described as “Ivy League menace,” Devane hasn’t stopped working since making his film debut in 1967. McCabe & Mrs. Miller, The Missiles of October, Marathon Man, Family Plot, Rolling Thunder, Yanks and Testament are just a few of the classic titles to which Devane brought his unique brand of charisma. The ‘80s saw him dominating the airwaves on the primetime soap Knots Landing as the nefarious Gregory Sumner, with dozens more memorable turns to follow.
Devane lends his gravitas to the new indie thriller We Gotta Get Out of This Place, a nifty neo-noir about a group of Texas teens (Mackenzie Davis, Logan Huffman, Jeremy Allen White) from a dead-end town who find themselves over their...
