E3 is an exciting time of year for all types of gamers as the show expands into many different categories. Mobile gamers can be excited for new social interactions, and maybe even some new hardware, and of course hardcore gamers can see what the next few years have for them. Here at Cinelinx we are excited for our own reasons and well, we can’t wait to tell you why. Want to know what’s got us excited? Find out after the jump!
Dustin:
Last year, overall, E3 was kind of a dull moment for many reasons. Sure we got a glimpse into Microsoft’s future with Project Scorpio, after the promised they wouldn’t be doing that, but they kind of forgot to bring the unit with them. Sony had a stellar opening showcase and showed off many games, but a majority of them are still unreleased, and undated.

With 2016 on its way out, we’re counting down the Top 10 Best Video Game Trailers from the departing year! Come inside to find out if your favorite made the list!
The year 2016 had many highs and lows, but some of the high points have been the stellar amount of game trailers we’ve witnessed. Every year, game studios put a lot of time, effort, and money into wowing players, in order to get them excited for their upcoming games. The trailers we witnessed throughout 2016 did not disappoint and as the year draws to a close, we’re giving them the credit they’re due.
Forming this Top 10 list was a double-edged sword. On one hand, I got to experience all these incredible trailers once again. On the other hand, I had to sort through hundreds of trailers and narrow it down to the 10 best. You may find a few selections controversial,...

With the next wave of consoles now in the wild, we look at the most important games of the last generation of videogaming...
Now that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are adorning living rooms around the world, and PCs are more powerful than ever, the gaming industry is spending a lot of time looking forward, speculating about the kind of titles we can expect to see from the new platforms. The eighth generation of consoles promises to be pretty special, even if the step up in power isn't quite as noticeable as previous generational leaps have been. Both units, regardless of your particular stance or fandom allegiance, are powerful and will doubt offer some great games, many of which will redefine genres and what we expect and demand from games in future. They'll change the gaming world once again, just as their predecessors did,...

Annual video game awards show change name, format, and broadcast exclusively online to show off amazing game footage, but is that enough?
On Saturday evening, Spike brought their annual Vga awards online for the first time in its history. The awards, now retitled Vgx, was a three hour webcast event exclusively streamed on Viacoms Cable Network websites, Yahoo Screen, Xbox Live and Twitch. The event, which was hosted by Gametrailers own Geoff Keighley and Joel McHale(Community, The Soup) eschewed the traditional large award show format of previous years and instead replaced it with a format of interviews, award presentation, trailer reveals and audience participation, which drew mixed commentary from the audience. However, the evening had its share of highlights and lowlights, both from developers and the talent themselves
The Highlights:
- TellTale Games makes two major announcements, The first announced at the beginning of the broadcast was a new Borderlands title,...

Though this is billed as a trailer to the forthcoming Tim Chey film Suing the Devil it is more of an extended clip, and it sets up the film nicely. If your trailer needs are not being met I’ve included that below also. I do it because I love you.
Malcolm McDowell as the devil? Great casting, in my opinion and Tim Chey’s latest slice of Relitigious filmmaking (his previous films include Gone, in which a group of lawyers deal with the Rapture) gets a Us release on the 26th of August, over a year since its pemiere. Looks like a fun premise and here’s a matter of fact synopsis to ease you in,
A down-and-out law student sues Satan for $8 trillion dollars. Satan appears to defend himself and the trial of the century takes place.
What I’m hoping is that this is some sort of...
