Una surrealista comedia familiar. © Apple TV+

Signature Entertainment acquired the rights to release the Red Sonja reboot in the UK and Ireland. Per Deadline, the film will premiere in late 2025 after spending two years in post-production. "Red Sonja epitomizes the kind of film we're looking for at Signature – an epic story in a fantasy-laden world with a strong commercial feel to its execution, which made it immediately appealing to us," Signature Entertainment's Acquisitions Manager Begüm Kayacan Parodi said. "We're looking forward to introducing UK and Irish audiences to Matilda Lutz's sword-swinging huntress later this year." Production company Millennium Media is still looking for a distributor for Red Sonja in international markets.

There have been plenty of TV shows that astound viewers with an incredible first season, only for it to quickly decline in quality and make them feel like it should have just remained one great miniseries. This can often be the case when a show was initially planned as a one-off series but became so popular that it was artificially extended despite there being no real artistic drive to continue telling the characters story. This also commonly occurred when a TV show based on a book was forced to move past its source material in later seasons.
While many great shows were canceled after just one season, there were plenty of others that continued when they shouldnt have. There have also been some great anthology shows that got everything right in their debut season, yet when it was time to shake things up with a new cast of characters for...

The films of Ken Russell are among the most unique in the canon of cinema. In Altered States, he took audiences on a journey into the deepest recesses of consciousness and brought us images that were hallucinatory and hellish. He brought the rock opera to mainstream audiences with Tommy and, in doing so, gave The Whos concept album about the rejection of the drug culture a commentary on the obsession with celebrity culture and the messianic cult that surrounds it. Russells most controversial film, The Devils, based on the book The Devils of Loudun by Aldous Huxley, decimated the hubris and morality of organized religion.
Crimes of Passion, which turns 40 this year, saw Russell take the format thats commonly associated with erotic thrillers and apply his own brand of style and aspects found in the philosophy of the Marquis de Sade, all the while providing a vehicle for one of Kathleen Turners most provocative performances.

Tom Felton finally lands a leading role in sci-fi movie Altered, a perfect opportunity to showcase his talent beyond Harry Potter. Felton's strong performance as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter set him apart as one of the strongest child actors in the series. Altered's success could pave the way for Felton to secure more leading roles in the future, depending on audience reception and distribution.
The 2025 science fiction movie Altered will feature a beloved Harry Potter actor in the lead, and it's about time. Helldivers 2 is a game that is constantly growing and changing. It’s commendable that its developer, Arrowhead Game Studios, has dedicated themselves to making it one of the most detailed and dynamic live service games of all time. And they seem to be succeeding too; thanks to their incredible attention to detail, fans are already getting incredibly focused on this game’s lore.
With this kind of ever-changing nature, one thing is for sure: Helldivers 2 will keep its players engaged for a long time. But this also means that there would always be some changes that players would ask of the developers. Sometimes those changes would be about this ever-changing world, and other times they would be about its gameplay.

"Six lives. Six incarnations." Altered Innocence has revealed the US trailer for a wild & crazy experimental French film called She Is Conann, a unique re-imagining of the classic Conan the Barbarian myth through a modern gender-swapped lens. Yes, you read that right! This premireed at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival last year in Directors' Fortnight, with stops at Fantastic Fest and Sitges. It'll be opening in February in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Denver, and more, with director Bertrand Mandico and the star at opening weekend showings at Anthology Film Archives in NYC. Conan's life at different stages is shown with a different aesthetic and rhythm from the classic Sumerian era to the near future. The film is a barbaric fantasy sci-fi trip that boldly celebrates the influences of Fellini Satyricon, The Night Porter, The Hunger, and Fassbinder’s entire oeuvre to craft a moving portrait of a warrior...

Disney Channel shows Lizzie McGuire and Andi Mack are each about middle school students and the highs and lows of that time in a person's life. Airing on Disney Channel at different times, the world had progressed and changed by the time Andi Mack premiered, and aspects of that show come across as more updated than Lizzie McGuire. However, Lizzie McGuire remains a Disney Channel favorite of fans who had watched the series and reruns when episodes aired on Disney Channel.

Pennyworth Season 2 is coming soon to Epix, continuing to fulfill the show’s touted remit as a prequel to the Batman mythos, notably with Alfred’s eventual arrival in Gotham City.
Having debuted on July 28, 2019, Pennyworth is the product of creator/executive producer/writer Bruno Heller and executive producer/director Danny Cannon (CSI franchise), and served as a quick reunion of key personnel from another Batman prequel series, Fox’s Gotham, which had just ended its five-season run that April. However, any associations end there, since Pennyworth is set in London in the 1960s, therefore—after doing some quick math—eliminating the notion of any continuity connection with the contemporary-set Gotham. Indeed, Pennyworth turned out to be a colorful crime series with swinging ‘60s aesthetics and a slightly over-the-top charm that’s not bound by its nevertheless-looming pre-Batman status.

DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse welcomed the producers and cast of the DC drama series Pennyworth and they just dropped some huge news for the upcoming season two: Martha Kane is pregnant!
The panel featured cast members Jack Bannon, Ben Aldridge, Paloma Faith, Emma Paetz, and executive producers Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon as they looked back fondly at the first season and talked about what to expect for the sophomore season. During the panel, Heller dropped the huge news that Martha (Paetz) is pregnant — with the future Bruce Wayne aka Batman, we are assuming. Brave New World, an adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s seminal sci-fi novel, is coming to NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service. The series was originally set for USA Network, where it received a straight-to-series order for a 10-episode inaugural season by the NBCU-owned cable outlet.
The network is sticking with the writer/showrunner it appointed originally – as part of a writer’s room – in David Wiener, who brings writing and executive producer experience from Amazon’s Homecoming, CBS All Access’s Strange Angel, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead and Starz’s Flesh and Bone. Serving as director for the pilot episode is Owen Harris (Black Mirror‘s “San Junipero”).

About a decade ago, the team behind the biggest hit of the decade wrote a screenplay for the prequel. It had been a long time coming. In 1999, the shaky-cam horror movie “The Blair Witch Project” grossed nearly $250 million around the world, turning the microbudget chronicle of a few friends who venture into the woods and never returned into an unexpected phenomena. “We had a plan for if it failed, what do with our finances without declaring bankruptcy,” said Eduardo Sanchez, who co-directed with Daniel Myrick. “We didn’t have a plan if it became the highest-grossing independent film of all time.”
However, distributor Artisan Entertainment had plenty of ideas. In the immediate aftermath of “The Blair Witch Project” taking off around the world, the company announced its investment two follow-ups, only one of which came to fruition. Myrick and Sanchez, eager to try something different, instead threw themselves into raising...

With Halloween around the corner, we're counting down the days by posting five fun facts about our favorite fright flicks. Today's feature film is "The Blair Witch Project" (1999). Crazy to think it's been 15 years since this one came out, right? While found footage horror films are the norm these days, this is the one that started it all.Stars Heather O'Donohue, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. That's all three of them with a member of the press below ... click here to hear their interview with OneOfUs.net.O.K., let's dig in! 1. The 3 actors, Joshua, Heather and Michael, were only given a 35-page outline of the plot before shooting began. They improvised their lines and most of the on-camera events were surprises to them.2. When Heather O'Donohue screams “What the f**k is that?”, she's actually...

The Blair Witch Project was such a phenomenon when it came out that no one really knew how to react to its success. Hollywood wasn't sure if it could replicate it, which is why you didn't see it get a new sequel every year. Not even cowriter/director Eduardo Sánchez had any real idea of what a post-Blair Witch career should look like for him. Sánchez stepped away from the industry for a few years, and as you can see from the below part of our interview with him, Blair Witch's success didn't necessarily make it easier for him within the studio system. So he opted to make more horror movies on his own using the money he made off of Blair Witch, and they're actually some of the better indie genre movies of the last decade. Altered, in...

Box Office Spartans slayed the competition at the box office this weekend, with 300: Rise of an Empire taking in an estimated $45.1 million. Though the sequel, with Noam Murro at the helm in place of Zack Snyder, failed to match 300's opening numbers domestically, it outpaced the original overseas, raking in $87.8 million from 58 markets. Mr. Peabody & Sherman was yet another disappointment for DreamWorks Animation, opening in second with $32.5 million. The movie suffered from family-friendly competition like The Lego Movie, which placed #4 with an additional $10.8 million, and Frozen, which held at #8 with an additional $3 million. Last week's top movie, the Liam Neeson actioner Non-Stop, dropped to #3 with $15.8 million.

Lovely Molly
Stars: Gretchen Lodge, Johnny Lewis, Alexandra Holden | Written by Eduardo Sanchez, Jamie Nash | Directed by Eduardo Sanchez
Known predominantly for the massive hit that was The Blair Witch Project (one of the highest-grossing independent films of all time no less), Eduardo Sanchez returns with what is his fourth directorial effort since that films groundbreaking debut and his best movie yet. Now I’ll admit I wasn’t a huge fan of Blair Witch, I enjoyed it for what it was but the obnoxious cast always put me off, however Sanchez’s 2006 directorial follow-up Altered was a stroke of genius that undeservedly shoved out as a direct to DVD release. But now he’s back, surpassing all expectations with Lovely Molly.
The film starts off innocently enough, with the titular Molly (Lodge) and her newlywed husband Tim (Lewis) moving into the old family homestead to start their married life together.

Eduardo Sánchez and Daniel Myrick have had an interesting trajectory. They co-directed The Blair Witch Project thirteen years ago, that “found footage” granddaddy which would prove not only to be an incredible success, but a great inspiration to genre filmmakers a decade later. Love it or hate it, Blair Witch is a milestone whose lasting impact can’t be ignored. While Myrick has made a few Dtv clunkers, Sánchez has managed to make two Dtv gems — Altered, a dark horror-comedy about alien abduction revenge, and Seventh Moon, a hand-held camera honeymoon nightmare in China. Worth checking out. So, how does his latest effort stack up?

Lovely Molly is a film that I knew absolutely nothing about, beyond the fact that it existed, and was directed by Eduardo Sanchez, director of The Blair Witch Project. After festival screenings, and an extremely limited theatrical run, opinions varied greatly. I’ve heard from some that it was a terrifying experience, and that they loved every second of it, while others felt the film was a little lacking. Image Entertainment sent me the Blu Ray to take a look at, which is being released on the 28th of August. I sat down to watch the movie with my wife, as I assumed it was a haunted house story, and she loves such things. The reality of the situation is, even after watching, I have no idea how to label Lovely Molly. Ghosts? Possession? Manic depression? Drug addiction? Pick one of these topic and you’d be able to accurately,...
