This is not a drill, BTS fans! The group's youngest member, Jungkook, has officially launched his solo era. While the maknae has released numerous singles as gifts to fans through the years and collaborations like "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth and his World Cup anthem, "Dreamers," with Fahad Al Kubaisi, the July 14 release of "Seven" marks the start of his career as a bonafide solo artist.

Fans have been waiting for this single since July 6, when Big Hit Music started rolling out Jungkook's promotional content for "Seven," including a short film and concept photos featuring the star showing off his physique in various outfits (one - loose-fitting jeans paired with an oversized blazer - even gives a peek at his abs). Jungkook of BTS has officially shared his first global solo single — “Seven” is here, and it includes a fun verse from rapper Latto. Stream it below.

Jungkook is no stranger to singing in English, as he does on “Seven,” having previously done so on BTS tracks “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” and his 2022 collaboration with Charlie Puth, “Left and Right.”

The playful track is catchy and inviting, showing off the vocal abilities for which the youngest member of BTS is known: “You wrap around me and you give me life/ And that’s why night after night, I’ll be loving you right,” he sings. Latto jumps in for the bridge on the track produced by our 2022 producer of the year, Andrew Watt.

The music video for “Seven” features an appearance from South Korean actress Han So-hee, known for K-dramas like My Name and Nevertheless.

According to a Facebook post by Hyeong, Season 2 of the hit K-Drama Sweet Home, adapted from the webcomic of the same name, will see Song Kang, Lee Si-Young, Lee Jin-Wook, Go Min-Si and Park Gyu-young coming back to reprise their roles from Season 1. Season 2 will premiere sometime this year, with a confirmed Season 3 launching in 2024. The first season streamed on Netflix in December 2020 for 10 episodes with over 2.1 billion net views.

Netflix has unveiled 34 new titles debuting on the platform in 2023, ranging from K-dramas and films to unscripted TV shows.

According to the platform, 60 of its users consumed Korean content last year and the demand continues to grow. Don Kang, VP of content for Korea, said: “The global popularity of K-content has continued apace over 2022, with Netflix bringing a wider variety of stories and genres to fans around the world. Over the last year, Korean series and films have regularly featured in our Global Top 10 list in more than 90 countries, and three of Netflix’s most-watched shows ever are from Korea.”

Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum — the trio featuring Dexter’s Michael C. Hall, Peter Yanowitz (the Wallflowers), and Matt Katz-Bohen (Blondie) — have released a trippy new video for their song “Nevertheless.”

The clip was directed by cult filmmaker Dylan Greenberg and boasts an eye-popping, Eighties-style aesthetic. Hall appears as a disembodied head that tries to ensnare Katz-Bohen and Yanowitz with his mind control powers, and it’s up to the two musicians to make it out of this surreal maze.
