This weekend, Netflix will welcome a psychological horror movie, the third season of a popular fantasy TV series, and an animated movie based on a graphic novel. Last weekend, the streaming giant added to its catalog the animated movie My Little Pony: The Movie, season 6 of Bunk’d, the Indian romantic comedies 90Ml and Namo Venkatesa, season 2 of The UnXplained with William Shatner, the Nollywood drama Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper, and the documentary On the Line: The Richard Williams Story. In addition to that, Netflix brought the documentary Take Care of Maya, the comedy-drama TV series Glamorous, and the rom-com The Perfect Find.

Directed by Adebayo Tijani and Steve Sodiya, the new film Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper is quite unlike the usual revenge dramas out there. The critical and sensational portrayal of religious figures is the standout feature of this film. The narrative is convoluted, to say the least, but the film doesn’t miss out on presenting the myths and supernatural legends of Nigerian culture.

Ijakumo revolves around Asabi and Olajide, who were once young lovers. Olajide used her goodwill, betrayed her, and went on to make a big name for himself as a pastor. He has now grown wealthy, using corrupt practices while working for the ‘Syndicate,’ and Asabi has finally returned to take her revenge for what he did to her in the past.

As we creep towards summer, Netflix has a hot new list of fresh content, including the final season of “Never Have I Ever,” the sophomore season of ‘Human Resources” and the highly anticipated sixth season of “Black Mirror.”

Kicking off the start of the month on mega streamer are lots of family-friendly goodies like both “Nanny McPhee” and “Nanny McPhee Returns,” “Kicking and Screaming,” “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius” and the “Angry Birds Movie.” But the adults won’t be left out of the conversation, as more mature flicks and series like “Jarhead,” “Funny People” and “We’re the Millers” are also hitting the platform this month.
