1st of all , I was eagerly waiting to watch Shahid in this look and the genre , I can say now I am partially satisfied because of Shahid.

And shahid has proven himself he can do action thriller movies , and now no one cannot tell he can't do action movies .

Negatives

Story is seemed to be interesting , but after some time its seems old school and regular story plot , so story only can't satisfy u .

Verdict : if u want to watch it for Shahid then just watch , otherwise I will not recommended u to watch this movie.

And I request Shahid to choose better stories , fans can't digest if it repeats.

Bloody daddy is an action drama thriller film directed by ali abbas zafar.

Shahid kapoor is just decent. We have seen much better performances from him honestly. It looked like he was in kabir singh mode. Ronit roy and sanjay kapoor were able to make us chuckle a bit with their comic timing. Rajeev khandelwal, too is decent. Diana penty is strictly average. There is no standout performance in this film.

The writing of this film suffers a lot due to inconsistency in its pace. The first half, where the movie takes much time for the build up, feels stretched. In the second half, the well choreographed action, which is too less, is just only slightly better than the first. The stakes never get high, the matter never gets serious.

What saves the film is its style and action. The action suits shahid, the hand to hand combat between shahid and rajeev, the firegun, the fight with the baseball bat all do the job. The cinematography during the action sequences, also assist the action. The background score uses rap as an essential tool to style up the scenes, which works in its favour. The certain pop culture references about covid, etc also bring in some humour. Otherwise the camerwork is pretty mundane.

The film is devoid of any major emotion. It works on the surface level, but an emotional connect is necessary to root for the primary characters. The father son duo never come as serious and genuine, mainly due to the writing and also the one tine performance. As a result, we never really can fathom why is shahid taking so many risks for his son. The equation does not translate on screen.

The screenplay is pacy and fast, there is no sense of calmness or serenity in the screenplay. It may entertain you, but will never engage you. I rate it 7 out of 10.

This review is based on not seeing the movies priors to this remake, both the french and tamil one. It was full of thrill and entertainment. Felt like I have seen Diana being an actress, a good one after so long. Shahid is getting real comfortable in playing wacky minded characters, and we see it. Hope Bollywood comes out with similar movies, less exaggerated scenes like in this one, good plot with good actors but please no more remakes. Bollywood step up your game, and not just by only recreating other films in hindi! The soundtracks in the film were also different, and fun to listen to. Some scenes were actually hilarious too.

The gripping story, sprinkled with emotional moments, notably Shahid's touching bond with his son, adds another layer of depth to the narrative.

Overall, "Bloody Daddy" is a satisfying choice for a Saturday night binge-watch. It offers a compelling and absorbing cinematic experience, making it a must-watch for fans of the thriller genre. I rate it 7 out of 10, as it concludes well, but a slightly stronger ending could have enhanced the overall impact. Regardless, it remains an engaging movie that will leave audiences entertained and invested throughout its runtime.

Bloody Daddy is for Shahid Kapoor fans. The movie has Shahid Kapoor written all over it. He steals the show! He is great as an actor and especially he is great at playing a dad! Jersey had proved that already!

Average music, average acting by Diana Penty and Rajeev Khandelwal. Ronit Roy had his moments!

A must watch for SK fans but nothing new. Quite an average storyline, obvious sequences and average background score.

The movie had a lot of potential but clearly couldn't do much.
