Haider by Vishal Bhardwaj will be screened at the Rome Film Festival to be held from October 16-25, 2014. The film, starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu, Kay Kay Menon and Irrfan Khan, will have its Italian premiere in the ” Mondo Genere” section.
The festival will also host a talk with Vishal Bhardwaj at the historical Teatro Argentina where an audience comprising theatre directors of various interpretations of Hamlet will be in conversation with the Indian filmmaker.
Bhardwaj’s modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, set in Kashmir, is set for an Indian theatrical release on October 2. The film will also be screened at the upcoming Busan International Film Festival.
