I was not expecting to like the movie and did so out of curiosity. For a while, it stayed in my "not favorites" file on my DVR. But as I watched it more, I began to appreciate the subtleties of the movie.
I enjoyed the fact of a black former slave roaming around as a bounty hunter in the mid-1800s. Then the unrequited love for Jamie Foxx & Kerry Washington. Retold by Christoph Waltz in a German fairytale. Very original writing.
My favorite is the very end, when Calvin Candy is taken down by his love of Alexandre Dumas' books. Then at the end... I won't tell that. But very Satisfying.
Samuel L. Jackson did his normal work and played a very odd character. No more details. Very satisfying ending. Glad they had the fire department around for safety in filming this.
