Review of Life Is What You Make It

"One in a million" "Inspiring" Those words I heard spoken in the film describe the documentary's rags-to-Broadway-riches tale (to date) so aptly. I watched transfixed, touched on many levels. A personal story, expressed with honesty, deep feeling, and pride, of his family, his community, and his treasured Iloilo/Filipino culture. A film of diverse content and imagery, entertaining throughout visually and audibly by Jhett's melodious articulation and calmly determined narration. A paean to boundless ambition and creativity. Overall, I thought it was an expert production of a remarkable autobiography. I look forward to future performances and projects undertaken by this clearly gifted young man.
