Keane are gearing up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Hopes and Fears, in style. The British band has announced a new remastered version dropping on May 10th, 2024, or exactly two decades after its initial release. What’s more, they will support the record with an international arena tour next year.
Featuring a keyboard-driven sound and the breakout hit, “Somewhere Only We Know,” Hopes and Fears has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. In 2004, Keane were the biggest-selling British artist in the UK, and the following year, they landed Brit Awards for Best British Album and British Breakthrough Act.
Next year’s tour will kick off on April 1st with shows in Mexico City and Guadalajara before Keane head over to the UK and Europe through mid-May. They’ll pick back up in September with a North American leg featuring stops in Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, Toronto,...

Taking a quick break from the U.K. leg of her Oh, What a World Tour, Kacey Musgraves stopped at BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room in England to play a breathtaking cover of Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know.”
The 2004 hit from the Britpop ensemble makes for a perfect fit in the intimate Piano Room, so named for its Yamaha grand that was donated by Sir Elton John. Joined by piano, banjo, and cello, Musgraves embraces the stripped-down arrangement with a particularly heartfelt rendition, swimming deep in thought as...

A new TV spot has been released for Jason Statham's upcoming giant shark film The Meg. This movie looks so over-the-top and ridiculous that there's no doubt it's going to be a crazy fun film. It's Jason Statham taking on a giant ass shark! What's there not to be excited about!
In the film, a deep-sea submersible—part of an international undersea observation program—has been attacked by a massive creature, previously thought to be extinct, and now lies disabled at the bottom of the deepest trench in the Pacific…with its crew trapped inside. With time running out, expert deep-sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is recruited by a visionary Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao), against the wishes of his daughter Suyin (Li Bingbing), to save the crew—and the ocean itself—from this unstoppable threat: a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as the Megalodon. [Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the first season of “Anne With an E,” including the finale.]
Kindred spirits and bosom friends, welcome back to Green Gables. The Netflix series “Anne With an E” returns for its second season this July, the streaming service announced on Friday.
For those who remember how Season 1 ended, however, the most immediate concern is the safety and fortunes of the Cuthberts. When we left them in the finale, two shady men that had mugged their hired hand Jerry (Aymeric Jett Montaz) earlier in town are seen at Green Gables. Responding to an ad that Marilla (Geraldine James) had placed to look for boarders, each of the men arrived separately pretending to not know each other for purposes that could only be nefarious. Green Gables had been falling on hard times as it is, and this did not bode well for Marilla, brother Matthew (R.H. Thomson), their adoptee Anne (Amybeth McNulty) or her sunny disposition.
Fortunately, in the trailer for Season 2 below,...

Sometime during the night, Warner Bros. unleashed the savage first trailer for The Meg. And it's a lot of fun for lovers of shark mayhem. There have been an infinite number of goofy great white flicks released in the past decade, mostly crafted for the Syfy channel. These Z grade schlock fests are mindlessly entertaining and often a blast. Now comes one of these movies made on a decent budget with a pretty kickass cast and some actual thought put into its execution. The results look absolutely delicious. As in an ocean full of Chinese tourists delicious. Now, we get a second trailer tailor made for those Chinese tourists. And it adds in some scary new megalodon footage we didn't get to see the first time around.
This latest trailer showcases how truly jaw-dropping and scary this thriller is going to be in IMAX 3D. The Meg is what the format was made for.

At Busan’s Asian Film Market, producers of Chinese blockbusters shared their secrets to success such as walking their own paths and not trying to emulate Hollywood, Japan or Korea’s systems, even in co-productions.
Fang Li, producer at Laurel Films Company, Ltd. whose credits include Fan Bing Bing starrer Ever Since We Loved and Han Han’s The Continent, said, “I don’t make films for box office hits, I make them to get viewers emotional, to impress and to inspire. Art is the more important thing. Emotions and impressions are your biggest weapon.”
The panelists agreed that Chinese audiences have grown cinema savvy enough that they don’t necessarily go for star vehicles.

Lily Allen has sprinkled her magic over two tracks for the forthcoming Pan movie.
The British singer has recorded 'Something's Not Right' and 'Little Soldier' for the new fairytale film, which stars Hugh Jackman as infamous pirate Blackbeard.
The tracks were written and produced by Keane keyboardist and songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley, and follows in the same vein as Lily Allen's cover of the band's 'Somewhere Only We Know'.
'Something's Not Right' hears Lily's delicate vocal delivery over soft piano twinkles, while 'Little Soldier' is more upbeat with a carnival atmosphere.
Pan will be released in cinemas on October 9, and sees Levi Miller take on the role of Peter Pan, Garrett Hedlund as Hook and Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily.
Cara Delevingne also makes an appearance in the film as a mermaid.

La-headquartered China Lion Film Distribution has picked up Chinese titles Running Man and Somewhere Only We Know for release in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Both will go day-and-date with their Mainland debuts later this month and in mid-February, the latter taking advantage of the early Chinese New Year corridor. (See teasers below.)
Each of the films has a strong hook for Chinese, and Korean, audiences. Running Man mixes talent from both countries and is adapted from a popular reality TV series which itself was based on an original Korean format. Somewhere Only We Know taps the trend of romance and nostalgia, and stars Kris Wu, a former member of Korean/Chinese boy band Exo.
Running Man, which China Lion picked up from Wanda Media Group, is a feature spinoff of the popular reality TV show that revolves around celebrity teams who compete against one another for an ultimate prize.
