Not long after making her acting debut alongside Keke Palmer for Lawrence Lamont’s buddy comedy One of Them Days, musical artist and actress Sza wants to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During an interview with Jennifer Hudson on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Sza told the talk show host and Dreamgirls actress she wants to play Ororo Monroe, aka Storm, for the MCU.
Sza is currently making waves as a Grammy-winning artist with multiple talents. Her double album “Sos Deluze: Lana” dropped on February 9, and clips of her recent performance alongside Kendrick Lamar at this year’s Super Bowl are making the rounds. When Hudson asked Sza about her future acting plans, Sza said she’d “love to play” Marvel’s iconic weather witch, Storm, in the MCU.

One of the original “Scream Queens,” as well as a legitimate sex symbol through much of the 1980s and ’90s, Jamie Lee Curtis had managed to fit in one box or another throughout most of her career, a fact made all the more clear when one learns she was born into Hollywood royalty as the daughter of screen legends Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis. However, as Curtis turned the corner on 60 a few years back, she realized she needed to stop meeting everyone else’s expectations and go after the kind of work that truly fed her creativity.
“I blew up the mood boards because I’m not who you think I am,” Curtis said in a recent interview with Empire. “That’s probably the biggest crux of it: I’m not who you think I am. Let me show you. I am way more than you think I am.

At 5ft 1½ (156.2 cm), Emma Roberts may be petite, but she knows exactly how to command attention—especially when it comes to footwear. “I’m obsessed with heels,” she once admitted, embracing styles that add height and elegance to her looks.
The famous movie actress often looks taller on the red carpet and is an expert at elongating her silhouette by adding the illusion of height through her fashion choices.

Keke Palmer insists she had no idea that the vintage Chanel dress she wore to the SAG Awards on Sunday was once worn by her “Scream Queens” co-star Jamie Lee Curtis.
“I literally found out after it came up online,” Palmer told me Wednesday night at Vanity Fair and Instagram’s Vanities party at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood. “I had no idea. I just loved the dress. I just thought it was stunning.”
Curtis wore the black and gold gown in 1986 to the first American Cinematheque Award Gala, which honored Eddie Murphy.
“All I knew was that it was a dress I had to wear and the fact that Jamie also wore was incredible because that’s my girl. We did ‘Scream Queens’ together. When my son was born, she sent me all these books.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver‘s son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, responded to accusations of nepotism after landing a leading role in season three of White Lotus.

Carrie Fisher’s off-screen journey was as intense as her Star Wars fame. While playing Princess Leia made her a legend, she later revealed a surprising detail from the set of one Star Wars movie – she used drugs, not out of love for them, but out of desperation to get high.

Despite admitting she didn’t even like cocaine that much, the late actress’s honesty about her struggles added a raw, human layer to her larger-than-life role.

People always talk about how they would give anything to go back in time and experience something for the first time again. I often say that I would sell an organ to feel the serotonin and dopamine boosts I’ve felt while doing specific things for the first time. Most people who long for time travel abilities easily remember what they want to go back in time for, but I am not one of those people. My memory is horrible, so I rarely remember anything, let alone random first experiences. Even when I do remember them, I rarely remember the feelings attached. That said, I distinctly remember discovering American Horror Story and how it made me feel.

In addition to Demi Moore taking home a statue for her performance in The Substance, the Screen Actors Guild Awards also celebrated horror in an unexpected way last night.
Prior to Jamie Lee Curtis coming on stage to present an award, the Netflix-streamed live event aired a video package paying tribute to horror’s Scream Queens, featuring clips from a handful of horror movies alongside insights from Curtis, Neve Campbell, and Jenna Ortega.
The video package put the spotlight on classics including Scream, Halloween, Psycho, and A Nightmare on Elm Street, but it also featured clips from deeper cuts including Night of the Demons, Leprechaun, and even Chopping Mall. Other films featured include Poltergeist, Immaculate, Carrie, Friday the 13th, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Next Generation.

It’s always refreshing when a show learns from its own mistakes. While 2024’s SAG Awards ceremony was a mishmash of tonally dissonant scripting and segments in the show’s first year on Netflix, 2025’s SAG Awards showed a marked improvement rooted in what makes the Screen Actors Guild tick.
The ceremony opened with a pre-taped segment featuring “Hacks” — basically bonus “Hacks” for everyone missing the show since its spring 2024 premiere. Right away this worked better than the kind of opening that arbitrarily forces film and TV crossovers, instead focusing on a show that is about the industry, and a character with a successful performance career, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart).
Like the rest of Hollywood’s awards season since the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards carried the emotional weight of January’s Los Angeles wildfires, from videos dedicated to L.A. on film and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s aid for members in need,...

Scream 7 star Mason Gooding finally opened up about the highly-anticipated next installment to the iconic slasher franchise. Gooding has been portraying the role of Chad Meeks-Martin since 2022’s Scream, where he was introduced as Randy Meeks’ nephew.
Speaking with Variety, Gooding revealed that Scream 7 will feature the “most brutal” Ghostface of the franchise, teasing fans to anticipate the horror sequel’s next-level gruesome kill sequences. "It feels like an amplification of what’s came before, and there’s no better indication of that than Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original, coming back now to direct," he shared. "I think that Ghostface is absolutely the most brutal he’s been. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there’s some stuff that they do to the human body that I feel like Kevin is breaking new ground with. There was a prosthetic that sat in the makeup trailer that actually turned my stomach over.

Before Glen Powell was lighting up the big screen in Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters, he was stealing scenes in one of TV’s most outrageous comedy-horror series, Scream Queens. While the show may not have been a major mainstream hit, but its satire and absurd characters left a last mark. And no character was more absurdly entertaining than Powell’s Chad Radwell.
Seven years before he took flight as Hangman, Powell was perfecting his signature mix of arrogance, charm, and comedic timing in Ryan Murphy’s cult classic. And while Scream Queens may have faded from the spotlight, Chad Radwell remains one of the show’s most iconic creations.

Too often, great TV shows -- particularly horror shows -- are gone before they even have a chance to shine. It's often one of the most frustrating things about being a fan. A series will come along with a fresh perspective, compelling characters, and just enough scares to keep you hooked, only for the network to pull the plug after just one season, with either storylines and mysteries left unresolved or the potential for more standalone stories cut short. Horror shows do seem to be particularly vulnerable to this phenomenon, often getting the axe before they can sink their teeth into a loyal audience.
Many horror series were, in fact, canceled after just a single season, despite having the potential to become cult classics. These series may not have had the longest runs, but their creativity, ambition, and ability to unsettle viewers left an unforgettable impression. From grindhouse-inspired gorefests to cerebral nightmares,...

Jenna Ortega has become one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood after she revived everyone's favorite dark and macabre girl, Wednesday Addams, on Netflix's hit series, Wednesday. Ortega got her start at just nine years old in Disney's Stuck in the Middle and began to flourish in the horror genre with a small part in Insidious: Chapter 2, before launching herself into more poignant roles in Scream and X. It was with these films that she landed herself the title of one of this generation's best Scream Queens. But it wasn't until 2022 when she appeared in The Fallout and blew audiences away with an emotionally powerful role as Vada, a high school girl navigating through the aftermath of a school shooting. It's an important story about dealing with emotional trauma—a weighty subject that coins The Fallout as Ortega's true breakout role.

After a big finale to the first Star Trek film in nearly a decade, there are a lot of questions left for the franchise to explore. While Star Trek: Section 31 returns Michelle Yeoh to the popular franchise, it also opens an important door for Alex Kurtzman’s expanding universe. The various shows have never had trouble recruiting top-tier talent. You can see it most clearly in the deep cast around Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. However, this might be one of the more significant finales of Kurtzman’s tenure.

Keke Palmer's new comedy One of Them Days has broken a Rotten Tomatoes record. The movie, which was produced by Insecure's Issa Rae, was directed by Lawrence Lamont (who previously collaborated with Rae on Max's Rap Sh!t) from the debut screenplay by Syreeta Singleton (who was the showrunner of Rap Sh!t). It co-stars Palmer and singer-songwriter Sza as best friends Dreux and Alyssa alongside an ensemble cast that includes Vanessa Bell Calloway, Maude Apatow, Katt Williams, Dewayne Perkins, Lil Rel Howery, and Janelle James.

Keke Palmer's new comedy movie debuts with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. Since beginning her career as a child actress, Palmer has proven her versatility in both comedy and drama, appearing in Barbershop 2: Back in Business and The Wool Cap, both in 2004. However, her breakthrough came with a standout performance in the drama Akeelah and the Bee in 2006, and her career progressed with roles in Madea's Family Reunion, the Disney Channel original movie Jump In!, The Longshots, and Shrink.
However, Palmer rose to further prominence on television, starring as the titular character in the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP from 2008 to 2011. She later transitioned into more mainstream horror on television, starring in Fox's satirical series Scream Queens and MTV's slasher series Scream. As of late, Palmer has started to garner critical acclaim for some of her recent film roles, including her performance as a stripper in 2019's Hustlers,...

After Keke Palmer revealed that one of her former Scream Queens co-stars made a racist remark to her while on set, she is giving an update on where they stand now.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times last year, the actress discussed writing her memoir Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative, in which she shares anecdotes from her career. When writing about her two seasons on the Fox series Scream Queens, alongside Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Skyler Samuels and Lea Michele, she recalled a time when creator Ryan Murphy allegedly called her “unprofessional” and a former co-star made a racist remark to her after Palmer tried to mediate tensions between them and another colleague.
“Keke, literally, just don’t. Who do you think you are? Martin f—— Luther King?” Palmer writes that the person said in response at the time.

She gained fame as a “scream queen” over 40 years ago, but in the four decades since has proven her versatility in a range of genres. Award-winning activist, author and daughter of two film icons, Jamie Lee Curtis has built an impressive resume over several mediums. And 2022 was an especially wonderful year for her with an acclaimed performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once” that brought her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Curtis was born in Santa Monica on November 22, 1958 to actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. After finishing school, she briefly pursued an education in law, but decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps instead. In 1977, she was given a small role in an episode of “Quincy M.E.,” followed by several more small parts and a role in the short-lived “Operation Petticoat,” based on the film which had starred her father. Jamie Lee Curtis has revisted her aerobics routine from the 1985 film Perfect. The iconic movie moment saw her play Jessie, a fitness instructor who becomes involved with Los Angeles reporter Adam, portrayed by John Travolta, when he sets out to write a story about gym culture. The movie, written and directed by James Bridges, became infamous for its high-energy aerobics scenes, which captured the fitness craze of the '80s.
Curtis appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to recreate her character's iconic aerobics scene, complete with exaggerated movements. Her routine took on a new humorous perspective with the added bonus of comedic gags, such as a pizza delivery, a surgery, and a champagne tower pour. Fallon took Travolta's place in this revived take, adding to the silliness of the parody. Check out the video below:

Prolific author R.L. Stine scared a generation of children into loving the horror genre with his “Goosebumps” book series. In the years since he released his first young adult novel in the early 1990s and became a staple of Scholastic Book Fairs, that initial audience has grown to have kids of their own to share the spooky stories with. And not only has the franchise expanded to include an impressive collection of thrilling literary tales, but there are also films and TV shows that are bringing the brand to all-new audiences.
In late 2023, Rob Letterman and Nicholas Stoller brought their version of “Goosebumps” to life on Disney+ and Hulu. The series starring Justin Long and an excellent ensemble of young stars modernized fan-favorite stories like “Night of the Living Dummy,” “The Haunted Mask,” and “Welcome to Horrorland” by targeting a slightly older audience than the original books and not shying...

Hot off the success of American Horror Story and Glee, the twisted minds of TV producers Brad Falchuk, Ryan Murphy, and Ian Brennan birthed a unique creation with the Fox series, Scream Queens, which featured a then mostly unknown Glen Powell. A mix of horror and black comedy with a dash of campy satire, Scream Queens ran for two seasons from 2015- 2016. It starred Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin, the It-girl of Wallace University and head of the campus’ biggest sorority, Kappa Kappa Tau. Also featured were Billie Lourd, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, Nick Jonas, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Roberts may have dazzled as Chanel, but Glen Powell was arguably an even bigger scene-stealer. Powell made his acting debut in 2003's Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. From there, he continued to act steadily, notably playing astronaut John Glen in 2015's Hidden Figures. However, it was Powell's role as Hangman in...

Glen Powell is the man of the hour in Hollywood, which is why some people may be surprised to hear the net worth of the supposed movie star. Austin, Texas-born Glen Powell has been working in movies and TV since he was 14 years old, with his first role coming in a small, but memorable, performance in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. His career remained steady for years, with small roles here and there in films like Fast Food Nation and in episodes of TV shows like Without a Trace and CSI: Miami.
It wasn't until Scream Queens that people began to take notice, and still, he was not a household name until six years later when he appeared in Top Gun: Maverick, hitching his name to one of the most successful movies of the decade. Former Scream Queens star Keke Palmer has accused showrunner Ryan Murphy of bullying.
“It was kind of like I was in the dean’s office,” Palmer, 31, said of the incident in her new book, Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative.
The actress commented on her interactions with Murphy, 59, after a mishap led her to miss work. Palmer was originally off on the day she missed work, but production later changed the schedule, and she had chosen to honor a prior commitment rather than change her plans for the new shoot date.
“He was like, ‘I’ve never seen you behave like this,” Palmer said. “I can’t believe that you, out of all people, would do something like this.”

The Super Bowl of retail — Black Friday. It’s the one day a year when holiday cheer takes a backseat to consumer chaos.
What began in the 1950s as a clever post-Thanksgiving sales boost has morphed into a high-stakes shopping spectacle, complete with long lines, doorbuster deals, and a hearty dose of madness.
Back in the day, shoppers braved freezing temps to snag the hottest items — Playstations, TVs, or even $2 kids’ pajamas — while packed parking lots and marathon lines turned malls into battlefields.
(Fox/Screenshots)
I still remember digging through stacks of $5 DVD box sets while others swept entire shelves into their carts without a second glance.
From store to store, we raced, chasing deals until exhaustion kicked in. Was it worth it? Maybe. Was it fun? Absolutely.
In recent years, online shopping and Black Friday “week” sales have shifted the action to scrolling screens, but the stress, frenzy, and absurdity live on.

Breakout roles make movie stars actors can go from having nondescript careers to becoming the talk of Tinseltown overnight if they impressively pull off an important role that stands out as memorable, even if it's not as the protagonist. For some, the breakout role only paves the way for a career full of iconic characters, some much more memorable than the actor's first project. For example, Margot Robbie's breakout role in The Wolf of Wall Street made headlines, but she is now most famous for playing the main character in Barbie.
However, some stars, while they achieve the same status in the future, are always associated with their first big role. Their breakout performances turned them into movie stars, and while they may go on to do highly successful work, the actors' most famous roles will always be their breakthrough. For example, Bruce Willis went on to do Unbreakable...

The 18th century French novel “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” has withstood dozens of adaptations to stage and screen, including the prestigious 1988 film “Dangerous Liaisons” and the cheesy yet beloved 1999 teen film “Cruel Intentions.”
With Prime Video’s new eight-part “Cruel Intentions” series remake, author Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ story finally hits the wall. Here, both setting and story seem outdated, with the writers’ bids to stay true to skeevier elements of the novel and (especially) 1999 movie conflicting with attempts to update storylines for a modern audience.
The show opens at a stately, vaguely Southern-looking mansion filled with overdressed young women — a promising start for fans of the similarly sorority-set “Scream Queens” or of “American Horror Story: Coven,” or even “The Bachelor.”
But the new “Cruel Intentions” does not yield any supernatural or crime thriller chills, or even enough backstabbing among romantic rivals to inspire us to pick a side. Instead, it...

During an appearance on The Toast, hosted by Claudia & Jackie Oshry, she explained the differences between working on the two networks as a kid. She had her breakthrough role on Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP, and went on to star in Disney’s Jump In!
“I’ll say Disney is really amazing when it comes to not only the storytelling that you see onscreen, but the storytelling even within the company, like they are storytelling through marketing, through their employees,” Palmer said. “People got pins in the office. They are literally a whole like universe, and I think that feels good, especially when you’re a little kid ’cause the magic doesn’t end. So, there’s an element of being a part of it that feels really,...

For many aspiring actors, Hollywood can feel like a game of chance—years of auditions, rejections, and small roles, all in hopes of landing that big break. Everyone dreams of landing that big break, but for Glen Powell, the road to stardom wasn’t exactly a red carpet.
While today Glen Powell is the heartthrob we swoon over in Anyone But You and Top Gun: Maverick, there was a time when his career felt like it was idling in neutral, no matter how hard he tried to accelerate. The hustle was real, and so was the pressure—just ask his bank account!

So, how did Powell go from a struggling actor to Hollywood’s next big thing? Well, it wasn’t a blockbuster film, an Oscar nomination or even a viral meme. No. It was two episodes of NCIS.

Jamie Lee Curtis is an amazing actress in everything, but she's particularly great in the horror genre. For instance, in 2015 she starred in the hit slasher series "Scream Queens," playing Dean Cathy Munsch, whose no-nonsense demeanor and perpetual disdain for sorority girls help her survive a serial killer's weeks-long rampage through her college campus. The first season in particular was delightful in its silly, mean-spirited, violent charm, and Curtis was selling every single line the questionable scripts gave her. Curtis also starred in some low-budget flick in the '70s called "Halloween" or whatever.
Despite Curtis's final girl bona fides, her biggest critical success has nothing to do with the horror genre -- at least as far as Rotten Tomatoes is concerned. Her highest rated movie is "Knives Out," the 2019 mystery comedy film written/directed by Rian Johnson. The movie has a 97% score on the Tomatometer, 1% higher than "Halloween" and...

As Glen Powell has become a bigger and bigger star, many have compared his rise to fame to that of movie megastar, Tom Cruise, yet Powell's recent career move proves that he can stand apart from his Top Gun co-star. Although Powell is best known for his performances in Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone but You, and Twisters, the actor's career first began way back in 2003 with the sequel, Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. For many years, Powell went under the radar, taking on minor roles in increasingly popular movies until he finally entered the spotlight in the 2020s.
The connections between the careers of Powell and Cruise are minor, yet hold quite a lot of weight for some audiences. The comparisons likely began when the pair appeared together in Top Gun: Maverick, which is the movie that seriously pushed Powell into the limelight. From there, Powell's roles in...
